Wow. I just happened to stumble into this place. Some of the best pho I ever had. The broth was amazing and the egg rolls were really good too

Best Pho in town! A quaint mom and pop shop that is calming on a Sunday afternoon. All the food is wonderful and the service is great. This is our favorite spot! We'll be back

This Vietnamese place serves the best Vietnamese coffee in town. The coffee wasn't too sweet or bitter. The shaken beef dish is great. The texture of the beef is delicious it feels like it melts on your mouth. The service was good; the lady that took our orders was vattentive and gave us options. We will definitely be coming back!

Probably the best pho I've ever had. The broth was rich, buttery, beefy, and still light. There was a good portion meats and they were pretty good too

AMAZING! One of the best viet places I've ever been to. My boyfriend is Viet and this tastes just as good as his mom's homemade meals. The menu is handwritten and authentic, fairly priced for the amount of food they give you. The staff is very nice, it's family owned and they've been open for around 20 years! The bun bo hue is my absolute fav, it is so rich, generous amount of meat, and not too spicy. The broth is more on the rich and savory side, i added just a lil fish sauce and lime and it was perfect! The veggies are fresh and washed and perfectly crispy. Pho broth is well prepared, you can tell it's been boiled for a long time, even without condiments it is rich and flavorful. Noodles are cooked welll. The vermicelli noodles were so refreshing, the spring roll outside layer was made out of rice paper than the traditional egg wrapper, the nuoc mam was so good and so fresh. Definitely will be coming back, such an underrated place! Place was clean as well as the bathrooms!

I must have been Asian in another lifetime! I love Thai, Japanese Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese and Filipino food so much that I can eat it almost every day! When my nail tech (a really lovely Vietnamese lady) told me to try Pho Sing Sing, saying it was'authentic', I had to give it a go! My daughter loved her seafood Pho and my son and I enjoyed our # 15 & 16 (bun thit nuong with the vermicelli noodles and lots of fish sauce)! The staff were friendly and the food was delicious and if I'm in the area and have a taste for Vietnamese, I'd return. And maybe it's more traditional than other places but overall, I still prefer my OG location which is also closer to home.

Ask the Community - Pho Sing Sing

Do they use styrofoam containers for food for delivery?

They are temporary closed due to "electrical problems"?

Is the vermicelli with tofu and veggies prepared in a vegetable broth, I'm looking for a vegetarian option?

You can get whatever broth you want, and yes they have a vegetarian broth.

I looked at the menu on-line and I am not seeing vegetarian pho - is it called something else? Or would I have to ask specially for it?

I am actually eating at Pho Sing Sing right now and asked the server. She states to ask for vegetarian version. It has carrots.. cauliflower..tofu..etc. sounds pretty yummy. I hope this helps.

The Pho was as flavorful and very filling. The pork and beef Bún Thịt Nướng was very delicious and very little fat unlike some places that give you all pork fat. The Beef chow fun was heavenly, so good I've ordered it 2 times now. The spring rolls are fresh and hefty. The egg rolls taste homemade and has the flavors I've been looking for. I've never had Vietnamese Pan Cakes before and don't have any comparison, but I'll definitely be ordering them more often and I have a feeling other places will have a hard time comparing to this one. The Fried Chicken Rice was also delicious. The chicken is not breaded but crispier than most fried chicken that is breaded. The rice was really good especially with the sauce they gave to put on it. The jasmine milk tea and passion slush were very satisfying. The atmosphere was also really good and the place is kind of big. I love watching the tv's with the beautiful scenery of Vietnam. Service was ok, especially for how slow and empty the restaurant was when we arrived. The timing of the food was poorly managed. My wife's entree came out far before mine, and she had already finished eating before my dish even arrived. Also, while she was still eating her egg rolls, the server brought over the rice paper with hot water in a plastic container and placed it right next to her plate mid-meal. The service felt unorganized and awkward overall. The egg rolls tasted like they had been refried. The veggies and herbs looked stale and close to going bad. The vermicelli with pork patties had a very small amount of meat and tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave. The hot water served for rice paper came in a plastic containers, "Hot water in plastic". The peanut sauce also had an unusual coconut flavor that did not taste right. We also ordered the Vietnamese crepe. It was burnt, the pork tasted awful, and the shrimp was overcooked. Again, the vegetables and herbs did not taste fresh. The fish sauce dip was probably the only thing that tasted decent. Sadly, this place is not what it used to be. This place is now on our "Do not eat at" list.

I usually order combination pho at most Vietnamese restaurants, but Sidestreet completely won me over with their Ribeye Pho. The ribeye is sliced super thin and incredibly tender. You get your bowl of noodles and broth, and then you also get a broth separately on a side burner, so you can dip the ribeye in as you eat. It keeps the meat perfectly tender and your soup piping hot. The broth is flavorful and hits the spot for me. Especially when I am not feeling good. And you cant forget the starters! Their fresh spring rolls and crispy egg rolls are also a must-try. Our family gets both everytime. It's a little hard to find at first--located on the second floor above the plaza where SF Supermarket, Ninja Karaoke, and Sushi Neko are--but absolutely worth the extra minute of looking. Once you're inside, it's clear you've found one of those places locals keep to themselves. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet, Spring Rolls, and Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio, and everything came out fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced. The broth of the pho was especially good--rich, clean, and comforting without being overly salty. The grilled pork and egg rolls on the bun were cooked perfectly, and the spring rolls had that nice fresh crunch you hope for but don't always get. I was a little sad they didn't have banh khot or che ba mau that day, but what they did have was solid across the board. This is very much a family-run, mom-and-pop environment, so service isn't the polished chain-restaurant style; you occasionally have to flag someone down for attention. Personally, I didn't mind--everyone was friendly once you had their eye, and the food speaks for itself. It feels like you're eating in someone's kitchen, and that's part of the charm. Overall: 5/5. Hidden gem vibes, authentic food, and a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to come back. I'll definitely return and hope to catch those additional menu items next time.
