These are the spring rolls and amazing peanut sauce. Also in the photo is the plate full of goodies that go in your Pho .

The Pho is amazing! I got the number 1, and it was more than I could eat after having some spring rolls for an appetizer. The service is very good and organic. Great people work there to make the best pho broth and dishes. The dining room is cozy and family oriented. There's parking In front and in back. This is a regular stop for us.

Went to a local pho spot my friend lives next to that he goes to regularly. We had our orders taken promptly and the food came out fast and hot. I got the Chicken Pho. I upgraded to the large bowl and the price was still very reasonable. I'm unsure if they use beef or chicken broth in the chicken pho since my stomach started hurting immediately after eating. Overall good food for the price.

Pho So Muy Bien!!! By far the best Pho spot in Southern California. Nestled in Pacific Beach, pho sao bien offers delicious variety of pho options. My go to is the #11 steak and brisket. Bowls come in regular or large but regular is certainly enough. Add some chili, Jalapeño, mint leaves and you're on your way to a wonderful meal. Great friendly staff and service, $3 happy hour beers at 3pm. Not big indoor dining but sufficient. Tiny lot in front so parking is limited. Great for hangovers or sickness cures too!

Nice pho and a good choice for a quick lunch. I felt the broth was a little overly heavy on cinnamon. If they pare it back a bit and also add a bit more meat/beef offal to the soup it would be perfect 5-stars for me.

Pho Sao Bien is a good solid stop for vietnamese food. I have been going for years and really like their soup stock. They give a generous amount of noodles and veggies on to go orders as well. My two small cons are the parking (Garnet is busy and their lot in front can be hard to get in and out of) and the packing for to go. They only give you a thin bag for transporting which can get messy with soup.

My favorite place!!!! Super authentic & local spot. The pho and egg rolls are hands down the best in town

Ordered the bbq pork viet sandwich. Decent size. I called in to order and my order was already ready. I like how they gave the veggies on side so they dont get soggy.

Love the high ceilings and natural light that comes in during the day. Lots of booths and a few long tables if you happen to have a large party. After we order, it really only takes about 10 minutes for the first dish to come out, then they all start rolling out fairly quick! - FOOD - Bun Cha Ha Noi: This is one of my absolute favorite dishes here, and I rarely see it offered anywhere else! So fresh, yet packed with a ton of flavor! Perfect for the warmer months, but I could eat it at any time! Wagyu Hot Stone Pho: You can tell the meat is better quality than other options. My favorite part is the fresh pho noodles though! So silky and love the boiling hot stone bowl! Shaken Beef: This is always a head turner, with the sizzling noises and very aromatic scent it brings. I feel like the last time I had it with the garlic noodles, the noodles weren't flavorful enough, or maybe the beef was just overpowering any other flavor I ate. Will probably stick with Rice the next time! - OVERALL - A great spot for authentic Vietnamese food!!!

It's a very different pho experience…read more I ordered the original pho. The soup did have the full spectrum of unami. Slightly less herbal aroma than average pho, I think. But what made this very different than usual, was the soup didn't feel complete when I tasted it. Until I put the lime juice in it. It added the punch that soup needed, and flavor felt complete. And that's what I thought was interesting. Usually, lime in pho is optional, at least for me. This is a first pho where I have to have lime juice in it for full experience.

It doesn't matter if the music is so loud it gives us all a headache. These are the things I never want to put in a review. It is our job as San Diego Foodies and Carlsbad Foodies to tell you what to order when you go. So here it is: even if your waiter tell you it's not that spicy.... If you enjoy very spicy food, order the house fried rice. And please don't ask for less spice because they put it into the mix so there's no room for adjustments. They add so many interesting vegetables providing crunch, so many different meats and when you hit a 'flavor spot' in the rice, you know why people order it. They already mentioned that 20% service fee will be included. We were OK with that. However, the tax amount that was calculated was not correct. In San Diego, the tax % is 7.75%, however, this restaurant charges almost 10-11%. I was about to tell the server this, but my daughter and wife told me to let it go due to politeness. I don't think I will visit this restaurant again just because of their fraudulent practice.

I throughly enjoyed my dining experience at Kingfisher. My partner and I had a reservation here and…read morewas seated promptly after we arrived. The hostess had a note for our anniversary celebration. They also printed a little celebatory note directly on the menu - a great personal touch. Our server was friendly and answered any questions we had. We ordered the beef tartare, smoked aged duck, and the deep fried sand bass. For the drink we ordered the Seasame Soirée. While our food came out pretty slow, I'd say it was worth the wait. We also enjoyed 2 complimentary glasses of bubbly while we waited as part of our anniversary celebration. The restarant itself is decorated beautifully with a jazzy ambiance. The interior had bits of gold and green with a beautiful pearlescent leafy wallpaper. The bar is located in the center and also doubles as a centerpiece to the restuarant. Restrooms are located in the back - there we many private, clean and spacious rooms. Below is a summary of the food we ordered: Beef Tartare (5/5) - Savory, sweet and spicy beef tartare dressed in fish sauce and thai chilis. Paired alongside fresh herbs like cilantro, shiso, argula and radicchio. The sesame rice crackers were light and airy. Smoked Dry Aged Duck (5/5) - Perfectly cooked, sweet and salty aged smoked duck paired with rice noodles, herbs and 2 different sauces. I appreciated the many ways you can wrap and enjoy the duck. I do wish the slices of duck were either smaller or thinner - it's hard to eat in one bite. Whole Fried Sand Bass (4/5) - I'll always order a whole firied fish wherever I go and this was no expection. I loved the sweet & sour ginger sauce. The fish was a bit over-fried in my personal opinion, but the inside is still very soft and tender. Sweet & Sour Rice Noodles (5/5) - Aboslutely delicious! Slippery and cold rice noodles dressed in fish sauce and other seasonings. It's not overpowering at all and goes great with the Whole Fried fish as well. Seasame Soiree Cocktail (5/5) - A very unique drink made with gin, ginger, coconut, seasame seeds and more. It was very fragrant in the best way. The flavor really develops after the first sip. I love how nutty and decadent yet light this drink is. Overall, I had a great experience here and this is one of the top restaurants I've had the pleasure of enjoying in SD. Highly reccomend especially if you like Vietnamese food / fish-sauce forward dishes. (At least for the dishes I ordered)
