    4. Kung Pao Chicken
    Eli T.

Embarking on a quest for the ultimate Chinese take-out, I stumbled upon a hidden gem that deserves its own spot on the culinary map - PB Oriental. This place isn't just a restaurant; it's a flavor-packed journey to the East, right in the comfort of your own living room (or wherever you prefer to devour your take-out). First off, let me tell you about their General Tso's Chicken. This dish doesn't just pack a punch; it's more like a roundhouse kick to your taste buds by a chicken lightly seasoned in martial arts and spices. If your mouth had a panic button, this dish would make you hit it - out of sheer delight, of course. It's the perfect combination of sweet, spicy, and "Are you sure this isn't just spicy candy?" Then there's the Kung Pao Chicken, a spicy Szechwan delicacy that comes with a side of "Are my taste buds still there?" courtesy of its fiery red peppers. It's the kind of dish that makes you wonder if the chef is part Szechwan wizard, casting spicy spells with each stir of the pot. If you've ever wanted to test your spice tolerance while enjoying an explosion of flavors, this is your go-to. Just be sure to have a fire extinguisher--or, you know, a glass of milk--handy. But wait, there's more! The orange chicken at PB Oriental deserves a standing ovation. It's so good, it makes Panda Express look like they're just playing in the minor leagues. This dish is a symphony of sweet, tangy, and crispy goodness that'll have you questioning everything you thought you knew about orange chicken. It's like PB Oriental looked at Panda Express and said, "Hold my soy sauce; we got this." In conclusion, if you haven't yet treated yourself to the culinary wonders of PB Oriental, you're missing out on a hilariously delicious experience. It's the only place where the fortune cookies might read, "You will need more rice," and they wouldn't be wrong. So, grab your chopsticks, order up some General Tso's Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, and the show-stopping Orange Chicken, and get ready for a taste adventure that'll have you laughing all the way to the last bite.

Take out -- salt and pepper garlic chicken wings are an absolute deal. Perfectly crispy and the chicken is just extremely tender. Owners are really kind and nice Mom & Pop style restaurant, props to them for maintaining a great quality of food and service.

PB Oriental has been my go-to Chinese restaurant for the past 6 years (consistently 1-3x/mo) -- especially for online delivery. - - - - - - - - - Review on Quality of Business and Product: - QUALITY food at LOW prices comparatively - LATE-NIGHT hours - - - Weekends they're open 3 hours later than any other Chinese restaurant in San Diego - DESIRED READINESS TIME - - - Food is not ready too soon but has never taken too long without communication and extra egg rolls or servings of something delicious - KIND & FAIR customer service - - - I've been on the phone with them before because they called to actually accommodate my order for the 3rd-party app's technical issue for which they have zero responsibility and yet cared enough to refund me for an overpriced and unavailable item - THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS Recommendations: - Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings: 1 serving feeds 1 girl/woman after apps, or 1 child who likes chicken or who is bored of chicken but likes flavors, or 1/2 a man as the best finger food that serves as his "can I have a bite" portion that he asks his family for before his single bite inhales half of their entire dinner. - Beef Yakisoba: If you want flavorful, savory, and cozy food that feels good in your stomach from entry to exit, this dish is for you. If that's not what you want, learn about the dish you're ordering before you pay for it. Your mouth isn't supposed to burn, you're supposed to feel warm on the inside and cozy on the outside and that's exactly what happens while the rest helps your body in every other way. - Egg Flower Soup (Bowl): Delicious and perfectly prepared every time. Simple yet flavorful - no odd or creative additions - Garlic Edamame: Perfectly cooked with real minced garlic and extra sauce - Beef & Broccoli: Tender, juicy, lean beef with large and tender but never too soft broccoli and lots of juice to drizzle

Got take out from this spot last night. It's located right on Garnett Avenue, so decided to go to the restaurant, order there, and wait for the food. The restaurant was empty and we were greeted by someone and able to order right away. The food took about 5 minutes longer than was originally told to us, but they were making a lot of to go orders. The food came to us extremely hot and the first thing we noticed was the value that was given. We spent about $30 on a bowl of Wonton soup and orange chicken entree. The orange chicken also came with a bowl of hot and sour soup, white rice, and an egg roll (not pictured). There was a lot of food that came with our order and we were able to turn it into about four meals. The food itself was less impressive. The only thing I really enjoyed was the wonton soup. It was exactly what I was looking for in taste. The orange chicken was not crispy and had a weird flavor to it. The hot and sour soup was also not impressed and the broth was more of a syrupy texture. The white rice and egg roll were fine, nothing that stood out. Overall I would come back for the value and convenience, but I would more likely try another spot first.

Half of my war wonton soup only 6 wontons not 8 like advertised.

I am Changing my review to 2 stars Because last week I placed an order through Postmates and 1 Of the items I bought war wonton soup was $14.95 (postmates price) Says it includes 8 wontons, my order only had 6 in my soup. I placed another order this past friday and the same thing happened. I feel you are ripping people off when you specifically say there are 8 wontons but only putting in 6 each time. I let it slide the first time but since this happened two weeks in a row I feel this is being done intentionally and overcharging customers.

I got the chicken teriyaki and it had zero teriyaki sauce. So it's just dry chicken for $15. Would recommend Panda Express.

The food came out quickly, and the appetizers were amazing. I definitely recommend the calamari rings. The only thing I would note is that the wait was a little long, but that was mainly because of where we wanted to sit, and it is a pretty popular spot. We waited about 30 minutes, but it worked out because we walked down to the beach and had a really nice late night walk. Overall, it was such a great experience and definitely worth it.

We arrived during breakfast time and ordered the BLT bagel and Hilo Loco Moco. The loco moco was really unique to me because the burger patty, gravy, and eggs were served over a spicy Portuguese sausage fried rice. The fried rice had a good, slightly sticky texture, which I liked. The gravy was tasty, and the over-easy egg made the dish creamy once the yolk mixed in. The patty was thick but personally, I would've preferred it thinner. Overall, it was delicious but very heavy. I was kind of over it halfway through. The BLT bagel was pretty tasty. I got it on an onion bagel, which was soft and chewy. I liked that every bite had bacon and it was even topped with two extra pieces. It also came with a scoop of mac salad, which was just okay. The cafe serves coffee, tea, and other drinks, but they don't have any sugar-free or low-sugar options, not even diet soda, so I just stuck with water. Customer service was just okay. I'm used to the super welcoming, family vibe at other Hawaiian spots I've been to, and I didn't really get that here. The staff came off a bit unfriendly.

A goodly portion to share with someone too. The rib-eye was flavorful and cooked just right. Being a local Hawaiian kid from the islands, I love rice and this was some good sticky rice like I grew up with in Hawaii. Nicely done. The tables are nice, but very dirty and unhealthy. If I had my own food truck there, I would go out and wipe them off before I opened and every once in awhile after, just because I'm that kind of guy. They were actually kind of disgusting and we were very careful with our 5yo son and what he was touching. It looked like there was a lot of bird poop on the tables. Birds near food in San Diego? Go figure.... ;) I realize that the tables belong to the city, but I, personally, would clean them off before I opened. Just a thought. Downside. There are not a lot of trash options, only one. When we were all pau, I looked around and there was only one trash can nearby and it was overflowing. I think it has nothing to do the the Seoul Man Food Truck and may be a San Diego city thing, but it looked bad and was kind of a bummer to see that trash overflowing. I would have not known of the Seoul Man Food Truck was here, but I will definitely check their location the next time I'm in San Diego. Very good food!
