    Shrimp spring rolls

How does this place even have 3.5 stars? I walked in and it was a mess. Didn't smell that great either. The guy at the counter was very nice though. My spring rolls were not great but I ate them because I paid for them. The wrap was gooey and the veggies inside were not fresh. The peanut sauce consistency was not good. It looked like someone put water and peanuts in a blender. I will not be back.

This was a small Vietnamese restaurant in the Midway Plaza of the Point Loma neighborhood. I stopped here after running some nearby errands knowing they were not going to be busy. Parking spaces in the plaza were plentiful during my late evening visit. Only one customer was seated among the tables that could hold around 40 people. The menu didn't seem as extensive as other pho spots, but it was a mom-and-pop operation. Appetizers, banh mi sandwiches (only four varieties), pho, rice dishes, vermicelli noodles, beverages, and desserts made up the categories. My choice was the vermicelli with grilled beef (bún bò nướng). The bowl of rice noodles contained shredded lettuce, cabbage, cucumbers, bean sprouts, mint herbs, pickled carrots and daikon, and roasted peanuts. A cup of vinaigrette fish sauce (nước mắm) was provided on the side. Upon first glance, all of the green veggies were buried on the bottom of the vessel. Only the peanuts and pickled carrots and daikon were visible on top with the beef and noodles. The flavors didn't stand out while the portion for the price was a bit undersized. I didn't leave Pho Little Saigon still feeling hungry, however I think there are better choices for this style of cuisine within a couple of miles of this place.

Shirmp spring rolls, egg rolls and Bun Pork, shrimp, and egg rolls to-go! Delicious

Called in my order and it was easy. Ordered my favorite egg rolls, shrimp spring rolls, and combo Bun pork, shrimp and egg rolls to-go! Can't wait to eat this. Also, the boxes on the side is for to-go orders incase people are wondering and judging. They're a little "hole in the wall" but the best/authentic places are not perfect aesthetically but the food is sooo good you wouldn't care! It's quiet and there's parking but sometimes is taken over by the gym people so I park on the street to pick up my food.

Another Pho shop nearby that we wanted to go to was closed so we ended up checking out Pho Little Saigon. This mom and pop shop is tucked away in a small shopping plaza on Midway Drive and can be hard to miss. The restaurant is tiny with less than 10 tables. As you make your way to the bathroom you'll get to pass by the kitchen and what seems like prep/storage. It might look like a mess but growing up Vietnamese. This is how exactly my house would look like. I was craving Bo Luc Luc (shaken beef) and glad to say this did not disappoint. Their fried rice was exactly how I like it, with just scrambled egg and green onion. The beef was flavorful, juicy, and garnished with fresh herbs. The portion was just right and felt like I was eating a home cooked meal. My boyfriend got the banh mi and he said it wasn't the best he had but still pretty good. The service was fast and friendly as we ordered, ate, and paid for our food all within 30 minutes. I'm glad we took this detour and tried a new Vietnamese spot here in Point Loma. I definitely want to come back for their Pho.

This is a small restaurant that's run by a husband and wife. The husband was super nice and service was really quick. We ordered 2 bowls of pho, a large special and a small rare steak, tendon, and tripe. The pho broth lacked the beef bone flavor and the rare steak was not even rare. I would give it 2 stars at most. I had to use the restroom before we left and found it unsanitary that I had to walk past the kitchen and prep area to get to the restroom. There was food being prepped on either side of me, exposed. They should have some sort of dividing partition. If I used the restroom before eating, I would have probably opted to go elsewhere. I really wanted to award 3 stars because the owner was extremely nice, but his wife's pho was pretty bad and the kitchen was unsanitary.

Amazing food and staff was so sweet. I would highly recommend eating here. Food came out hot and fresh and pricing was very reasonable!

My husbands chicken vermicelli bowl was not good. The chicken was so dry and hard. I tried eating a piece and it was hard to bite through...it was that over cooked. My steak pho wasn't the worst. But the broth was pretty oily which I didn't like. My noodles were also slightly over cooked and kind of mushy. While sitting in the restaurant we noticed this place appeared to be needing a good overall deep clean. The curtains hanging by the entrance door have very visible stains on them. The hand sanitizer bottles on the table looked dirty like as if people had sauce on their hands and used it many times over a long period of time and the sauce and grime built up and dried on the bottle. There was also some noisy banging/scraping sound nearly the entire time we dined there. It sounded like maybe someone was trying to use force to scrape a metal hood fan or something? The only time the banging/scraping sound wasn't happening was when the person working was out in the dining area taking orders, serving food, ringing up customers.

Pho was delicious! We didn't have to add a thing broth was on point...vermicelli wasn't that good I didn't enjoy the egg rolls. I wish they wouldn't if charged 1.50 for veggies but it's ok wont order this next time.

We recently just moved to San Diego, and wanted to have some pho. This was the first place we tried and it did not disappoint. The pork spring rolls were delicious and made fresh, they weren't just sitting in a fridge or freezer. I got the chicken pho, and it was delicious as well, the medium size will definitely make you full . We also got the coffee with condensed milk , and a club soda lemonade which were really delicious. As you can see we thought everything was delicious and would definitely come again.

A cute little pho resturant was home to my mom's first pho experience. It was phonominal! In San Diego on a mini vaca with my mom, I talked her into trying pho! She had her ideas of what Vietnamese food would be but she was pleasantly surprised. I had to take quick advantage of my mom's adventurous spirit and this was the closest pho place to us. Food I ordered the pork on rice noodles with cabbage and my mom ordered the meatball pho with rice noodles. For an appetizer we ordered the pork summer rolls. We were surprised that the ice tea we ordered was straight tea leaves in cold water. Perhaps Im missing something but I thought it was "regular" ice tea we ordered. Service & Location The service was great. Quick, efficient and friendly. The location was in a small strip mall and between other restaurants. I would return when in San Diego. Good food.

    Very tasty!

So, I'll leave a legitimate review along with pictures. Initially, we were ambivalent about trying this place due to the high prices but they also have an exceptional rating on Google and Yelp. 4.9 on both Google and Yelp, that's rare. We bit the bullet and headed there. Parking can be tough but luckily we found parking in front of the restaurant. It was free after 8 pm on a Tuesday. If you go earlier or on the weekends, I would read the parking sign more carefully. There might be free street parking on the left side behind the restaurant. Don't quote me on that. Like I said, parking is not as easy as other places in SD. There are quite a bit of tables to sit in. It wasn't busy when we went. Yes, they do have a very large menu with like 1,000 items. We are not vegetarian or vegan but we have tried vegan places in Denver, CO. We ordered eel Helen pho roll, crispy beef chestnut and pineapple banh mi, and duck wonton noodle soup. The owner also gave us complimentary desserts, vegan corn pudding and vegan creme. She also gave us cookies and two cups of that delicious special water to go. That special water is hands down one of the best drinks I've ever had. Prices range $22-30. -eel Helen pho roll 5 - not real eel but this was very tasty. I like that the rolls don't fall apart easily. -crispy beef chestnut and pineapple banh mi 5 - the bread has a crispy exterior and the inside is moist. The chestnuts and pineapple really pair well together. I devoured this fast. -duck wonton noodle soup 5 - I really like the broth and the noodles. -vegan corn pudding 5 - this has corn with some coconut. It's a light dessert. -vegan creme 5 - this tastes like the real thing. I honestly wanted more.

Our server was friendly and answered any questions we had. We ordered the beef tartare, smoked aged duck, and the deep fried sand bass. For the drink we ordered the Seasame Soirée. While our food came out pretty slow, I'd say it was worth the wait. We also enjoyed 2 complimentary glasses of bubbly while we waited as part of our anniversary celebration. The bar is located in the center and also doubles as a centerpiece to the restuarant. Restrooms are located in the back - there we many private, clean and spacious rooms. Below is a summary of the food we ordered: Beef Tartare (5/5) - Savory, sweet and spicy beef tartare dressed in fish sauce and thai chilis. Paired alongside fresh herbs like cilantro, shiso, argula and radicchio. The sesame rice crackers were light and airy. Smoked Dry Aged Duck (5/5) - Perfectly cooked, sweet and salty aged smoked duck paired with rice noodles, herbs and 2 different sauces. I appreciated the many ways you can wrap and enjoy the duck. I do wish the slices of duck were either smaller or thinner - it's hard to eat in one bite. Whole Fried Sand Bass (4/5) - I'll always order a whole firied fish wherever I go and this was no expection. I loved the sweet & sour ginger sauce. The fish was a bit over-fried in my personal opinion, but the inside is still very soft and tender. Sweet & Sour Rice Noodles (5/5) - Aboslutely delicious! Slippery and cold rice noodles dressed in fish sauce and other seasonings. It's not overpowering at all and goes great with the Whole Fried fish as well. Seasame Soiree Cocktail (5/5) - A very unique drink made with gin, ginger, coconut, seasame seeds and more. It was very fragrant in the best way. The flavor really develops after the first sip. I love how nutty and decadent yet light this drink is. Overall, I had a great experience here and this is one of the top restaurants I've had the pleasure of enjoying in SD. Highly reccomend especially if you like Vietnamese food / fish-sauce forward dishes. (At least for the dishes I ordered)
