The sauce is really good, the egg rolls come with green and radish/carrot mix, and they have chicken shrimp and mushroom in it, definitely a more textured consistency compared to a vegetarian egg rolls, something to watch out for if you like the soft and sort of caramelized/creamy texture The Vietnamese chicken wings are good, sort of a sweet and savory but the flavor isn't super strong like other wings The pho was great as well, pretty standard with other pho places I got the chicken, the pieces were great sized and easy to chew and their XL is 15, the broth is super flavorful The Vietnamese coffee was really good, strong and sweet was a great balance. However I got the boba, which was great texture but not something I would recommend having a mix of. The ambiance is nice, we sat at the high table but they have bigger tables with Vietnamese art next to them, and the service is funny because of the robots, it's pretty cool but I was constantly checked in on by the waiters and I have absolutely no complaints
I just love saying Pho Ca Dao--it rolls off the tongue and already makes me happy . This location is definitely a glow-up compared to the one on El Cajon--beautiful wall art, a big skylight, and stylish decor that makes it feel fresh and inviting. The service at this location is also better compared to the El Cajon location. The egg rolls came out fast, hot, crispy, and honestly the star of the table. The chicken steamed bun was perfectly seasoned, but the grilled shrimp spring rolls were skippable. Firecracker shrimp? A little too fired--overcooked and greasy. The rare steak pho was solid and comforting. We tried the Vietnamese coffee (pour-over style), but it didn't quite hit that sweet, bold vibe we were hoping for. Overall: come for the ambiance and egg rolls, stay for the pho... and the fun of saying the name again. And if I could give half star it would be 3.5.
I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the experience fell short. The service was very slow from start to finish, which made the overall visit frustrating. As for the food, it didn't meet expectations. The salt and pepper wings were greasy and overcooked, and not comparable to what you typically get at other spots. The spring rolls were not enjoyable either--there were way too many bean sprouts, which threw off the balance and texture. The pho lacked flavor, and the meat was noticeably fatty, which made it hard to enjoy. The bao buns were also disappointing the buns were overly sticky, falling apart, and stuck all over the plate. Overall, the combination of slow service and underwhelming food made this a place I wouldn't return to. Hoping they can improve, because the location has potential. The best part was us walking to Costco across the parking lot to get a cookie
Stopped by Ca Dao in Mission Valley for lunch after a Costco run on a Sunday afternoon. This was our first time at this location after having been at other Ca Dao spots. The space is nicely done with high ceilings and a breezy outdoor patio. Despite it being not very busy, we got our orders in after an unnecessary long wait because the 3 wait-staff couldn't break away from their on-going chat. Delivery was a bit amusing as well when a robot-waiter transported our bowls over while a staff member slowly followed behind it, which honestly took longer than just carrying them over directly... but hey, something different. As for the pho, it was ok with clear broth and good flavor, though not quite as rich as what we've had at other Pho spots. Overall, it feels like quality and service vary by location with this chain, depending on the crew or robot-waiter you get on any given day.
I went here for lunch and the restaurant wasn't busy. My server gave me a menu but took 10 minutes to come back to get my order because he was watching the soccer game. I ordered a bowl of pho and when it came out there was barely any meat in it for a $20 bowl of pho... I went to grab the bottle of hoisin sauce and the tip plastic was broken. I didn't want to risk choking on the plastic so I didn't use it. I tried to tell my server about it but he was too busy watching the soccer game. I was very disappointed in this place.

My mom and I had to get something to eat and my brother and his family had tried this place before and we hadn't so this was the best time to do it since I had to wait for my car to get tires replaced at the Costco in the same shopping center. From the entrance, it seemed, at least to me, that it looked more like a Chinese restaurant rather than a Vietnamese restaurant. It looks clean enough on the inside as well. One guy sat the both of us at a corner table right next to the outside seating, which looked like a mess that hadn't been touched since maybe when COVID was raging? Mom ordered some sort of chicken and tofu soup while I ordered bun with grilled ribeye meat and grilled shrimp. It was all brought to us by an automated waiter with trays. I liked how tender the meat was. I didn't like that there were only five shrimps. And there was somehow A LOT of bean sprouts in the large portioned bowl. It ate okay. It made me REALLY thirsty when I got home though. And the Sprite didn't really abate that thirst.
11-06-2025 I never knew this place was here. Us gal decided to meet up after our gym workout. I cannot comment much on the decor; I just walked straight to the patio area when I arrived at location. Outdoor seating can accommodate large party. Also they have a fireplace just in case customers need to get warmed up. Ordered: My friends seemed to enjoy their food; they emptied their plates (see pics). I had spring rolls and they satisfied my tummy. Service: Our waitstaff was cordial and speedy. She brought everything to us in a timely manner.
Don't know about you, but pho always hits, no matter the weather outside. Rain, shine, summer heat, it doesn't matter, a hot bowl of pho just feels right. This spot is exactly what you'd expect from a good, no-frills pho restaurant. They're all about efficiency here, you sit down, order, eat, and go. I actually love that about pho places. There's no need to linger or overthink it. They just keep things moving and focus on getting you your food fast. The pho itself is solid and very typical of other spots around. The broth comes out boiling hot, just the way it should. Perfect for cooking up the raw slices of beef to tender perfection. The noodles have that nice chewy bounce, and the flavor of the soup is very comforting. Not the most unique pho ever, but definitely hits the spot when you're craving it. The spring rolls were just mid, to be honest. Unfortunately, we did find a small piece of plastic in one of them (probably from the wrapping or prep), but the staff handled it really well. They apologized immediately and took it off our check without hesitation. Super nice of them and definitely appreciated the good customer service!
My friends and I tried Pho Ca Dao on a busy holiday weekend, but we were able to get seated immediately. Their service was quick and friendly in this casual atmosphere with nice decorations. While their servers came around and handed us the food, there were bots that helped the servers bring the food to the tables. I tried their N3, which included delicious sliced rare steak, flank, fatty brisket, tendon, and tripe in their pho. The portion size was generous, especially with the amount of noodles they gave me! The broth had a deep rich flavor that was not overpowering, and the noodles were also cooked to my satisfaction. My friend ordered a Cucumber Cooler that was actually a stand-out. The refreshing cucumber taste was strong and paired well with our hefty dishes!

The restaurant is nice and spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are always nice and friendly, and haven't had an issue with dining there. The food is delicious! Never been disappointed, no matter who I'm dining or ordering with.
My second visit. I appreciate how conveniently located this restaurant is. It's spacious and clean too. Staff is very friendly and attentive. We sat at the bar, my friend had a Sapporo with the Oxtail Pho. I had water with the Grilled Pork and Eggroll Vermicelli. So GOOD!!!
I've been to a lot of pho restaurants around San Diego and I can say this one is up there. This place is consistent, the food is good and it's not super pricey. The service here can get slow at times when it's rush hour, but other wise they are definitely watching like hawks, making sure your water cup is full. They play traditional and pop Vietnamese music in the background, and have painting and things from vietnam on the wall, which sets a nice vibe. You wouldn't go wrong coming to this restaurant!
I'm a fan of all the other Pho Ca Dao locations. This location does not disappoint. I was going to order the bbq pork banh mi but Hau recommended the lemongrass beef banh mi. That was the best suggestion I've ever had! That sandwich was next level. So much tender delicious meat with veggies on the side and a broth. Soo good! We also ordered a bowl of Pho and a beef stew. Everything was so good. The ambiance was aesthetically pleasing. A huge space with a large our door patio. Our server was friendly and his suggestion of getting the lemongrass beef was life changing because I would have just ordered the bbq pork banh mi. Overall, a great experience. Been here a few times and the food is always amazing. The waiter memorized our whole order of about 8-10 items which I found to be impressive. Our order came by means of robot and nothing was missed. We had pho with rare beef and brisket Bbq pork ban mi Com tam w grilled pork Classic spring rolls Egg rolls Strawberry smoothie Kids plate Fresh Lemonade Thai tea And the tri color bean pudding All tasted fresh and delicious! read more

DELICIOUS Vegetarian options. Tofu Bahn Mi Sandwich is SO good. It comes with a broth soup as well. We ordered this to go, it was timely, and decent price. It was a nice size sandwich , $11. Overall, it was a great experience. I am not sure why this place has bad reviews to be honest. We ate it so fast we forgot the before pictures and only remembered the after pictures lol. I've been to this restaurant several times and have never had a problem with their food, pricing (about $15-17 per dish), service, and parking. The place is very spacious and I've never had to wait. My go-to orders are the VN11 with rare steak, tendon, flank and Bun Bo Hue XL. Service is fast and a robot brings your orders to your table. Broth is decent and they provide generous portions with a lot of meat, which is always a plus. Can't go wrong with this pho place! read more

After a week of feeling under the weather, we decided to visit this place for a warm bowl of pho. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated in a very quiet and clean environment. We knew exactly what we wanted: I ordered the chicken pho with extra veggies and some tofu spring rolls, which are listed under the vegetarian options on the menu. My husband chose a spicy soup with udon noodles that looked absolutely amazing. We also shared a Thai boba tea, which was delicious, with fresh boba and great flavor. The tofu spring rolls arrived first with an exquisite peanut sauce; we appreciated getting two servings of it. The pho broth was flavorful even without herbs, basil, or spices, and the restaurant provided mint, basil, lemon, and other special touches. I particularly enjoyed the tangy sour sauce next to my chicken pho, which added a punch to the soup. My husband liked his broth and noodles, noting the tenderness of the meat and the perfect cooking of the other proteins. He wished the soup had been spicier, but he was content overall. The restaurant offers plenty of parking and has a charming outdoor patio that we plan to try next time. This place was very nice, so we will definitely be back. read more
We've been to pho ca dao a few times now, esp when we need to make a Costco or IKEA run and this latest time I noticed a cocktail menu, maybe it was always there before but that surprised me. For $11, the my pho smash was pretty solid. It was refreshing and just enough alcohol. Service was super fast and accommodating, they were really nice about letting us switch tables when the first one we sat at had a draft. Food also all came out relatively quickly and altogether after ordering. I enjoyed the egg rolls we ordered for our appetizer, crunchy with balanced filling, but oddly enough for an order of 3 egg rolls, we only got 2 pieces of lettuce to wrap it in. My pho with brisket was decent. I was a bit annoyed that they serve it pretty full in a shallow bowl because it made it hard to add the bean sprouts and mint and mix it in without making a big mess. We found this location on our way home from shopping. Starving we stumbled in, in part seeking refuge from the heat (over 100). The AC barely worked but we were really hungry. Service was very friendly but our meal was slow (c2 other parties who came after us served first). Mom had the buns with chicken but we think it may have been pork. She liked the combo but not the spice. And because she couldn't tell if it was truly chicken, she wasn't thrilled. I had the rare steak with noodles soup and it was uninspired. Didn't compare to others I've had. Noodles seemed undercooked, even after letting them sit in the soup, and flavor was flat. There is a lot of space here and it looks like it could be fun for groups. And they have an outdoor bar. In fact, the espresso martini sounded great but it was the middle of a hot day and I had to drive home. Perhaps the bar another time and give the appetizers a shot. read more

I was very close to giving a 4 star rating but the veggie option I got was just too good!! The service is not very welcoming and they don't really smile, I think there was also a language barrier but the server was still able to communicate suggestions. The environment is nice the places ambiance is nice and mellow and has a full bar. Prices are not terrible but not cheap. read more
Went here for dinner last night and the inside was surprisingly big and well decorated. They seated us right away and the waiter was very polite. The pricing is about average for a pho restaurant and the portions were great, I got a regular. The meat was tender and the broth was very good for the price! If you're a pho lover I would recommend trying this place if you're in the area read more

I came here with friends for lunch and we shared appetizers out on the patio, which has a lot of greenery and was very pleasant. We really weren't bothered by the traffic nearby since they kind of block it out. I ordered the egg rolls and they were good, hard to go wrong. We waited a bit for food, but not too long considering it was busy. read more

3.5 Stars The service itself is fantastic and they were very friendly and accommodating. The establishment itself was clean and nice. Loved the interior. Location is good if you want pho on a Costco or Ikea run. The food itself was meh. It's not super good and it's not super bad. It was good and it fills you up but it's nothing that blows your mind. We got the salt and pepper wings which are pretty small and loaded with butter. How can that not be tasty but also it wasn't anything special. The pho tai also was good but there wasn't anything special about it. The pork broken rice dish was the best out of the lot but 4 stars at best out of 5. I would say we loved the eating environment though and the service and would come back for that. read more

Stopped by PCD after an IKEA visit to get a quick pho fix. Service was great, our waitress was very friendly and sweet. The price was reasonable. The pho was just ok. Broth by itself was bland and lack depth, but that's what sriracha and hoisin sauce were for ha ha. After a good about of sriracha and hoisin sauce, I managed to get the broth to the acceptable level and managed to finish the bowl. Regular bowls are not big at all, and I guess that's how they made the price reasonable, by reducing the size. Would I come back? If I visit IKEA again and feel like pho, maybe. Would I drive here just for pho, probably not. There are definitely better pho out there. read more

Food quality is really good!! I was craving pho and this place hit the spot. The egg rolls are nice and crunchy! I got their speciality pho and be warned, it's a big portion! Their customer service is good too, super friendly. Their staff seemed to be balancing multiple things at one time (in-house orders, door dash/Uber, to-go orders, etc) so it might take a bit to order and get your check but it's not for any bad reasons, so just be understanding! read more

All the meat was delicious and the portions were generous for the price. There were funny robots that brought your food over and the inside was nicely renovated. The shrimp and chicken were especially flavorful and the bread for the banh mi was fluffy and crisp. read more
