Beautiful decor for a storefront in a strip mall. Food seemed to be very authentic and fresh. Waitress and hostess were very attentive. I personally did not care for the foods flavor. Perhaps it was some Vietnamese spices that I am not accustomed to. The soup tasted like potpourri smells. read more

It is interesting to see so many positive reviews about this establishment. Either I went on a bad night, or some of these folks have no clue what constitutes delicious Vietnamese food. Coming from Tampa, Fl, I guess that my expectations could be considered beyond what is possible for a Youngstown restaurant trying to serve something exotic instead of pizza, sandwiches, etc., but I had some hope. When my wife and I arrived, we were seated immediately by a reasonably pleasant server. Upon receiving the menus though, we were aghast that the Pho options were far from diverse. My wife and I thought, "where are the different noodle options such as rice versus egg versus clear?" Also, is beef broth filled with copious amounts of indescribable meat parts the only option (will be elaborated on next)? We remained optimistic and ordered the combination bowl. Also, we ordered some fresh rolls to start with. The fresh rolls were the worst that I have ever eaten. They were filled with lettuce and....well pretty much just a bunch of lettuce. The shrimp stuffed inside were anemic and tasted a bit "funny." On a positive note, the peanut sauce was standard. it would be really tough to mess that up! When the pho arrived, I immediately took a sip of the beef broth. It actually was not too bad but was loaded with too much black pepper. So much so that it collected at the bottom of the bowl. Now onto the meat - the combination bowl had a little of everything, but other than the tripe, my wife and I were not really sure what kind of meat the rest of the cuts were. Was it beef, or pork, or maybe even cat? Who knows. What is worse is that the texture of the meat was extremely rough and worst yet - it was about 90% fat. So we pretty much ordered a pepper spice soup with tripe, mystery meat, and fat balls. Yum! My advice would be to venture into Pittsburgh and try real Vietnamese food. I can offer many suggestions. I am no food expert, but I have eaten Vietnamese food all over the U.S. and overseas, and this was the worst food that I have ever eaten. read more

Great food and excellent service. Best Pho I have had since I was last in Ho Chi Minh City.

Pho Saigon is a refreshing change from the usual area fare of pizza, Italian food, and chain restaurants. The dining room is always impeccably clean and the owners greet you with a smile. The pho is delicious! As is everything on the menu. Great prices too. read more

They serve a good bowl of Pho, but my biggest gripe is that they are a little stingy with the herbs for takeout, and they completely stopped giving basil out altogether, so now you're left with a few sprigs of Cilantro for this gigantic portion of Pho. Not sure when that change happened. Regardless, their summer rolls are excellent, so I put up with the lack of basil in my Pho because of it. read more

Amazing! Great service and amazing food! Kind staff and they have food that isn't too easy to find! Order carry out and walk in and grab it.

Thumbs up on both the Pho and the service. Lean meats, flavorful broth, plenty of veggies to put on top. One of the better Pho's I have had. read more

Ordered pho to go and it was okay. Second time I ordered the vermicelli noodles and it was delicious. The Vietnamese iced coffee was one of the best I've ever had. If anything, I would definitely go back just for the coffee! read more

Pho Saigan is a welcome change from the endless parade of chain restaurants in Youngstown, and a fresh alternative to the very decent but much more common Italian, Greek and Middle Eastern fare Ytown is known for. The food is delicious and cheap, and Pho Saigon offers a decent selection of Vietnamese dishes and the Chinese food called traditional in the midwestern sense of the word. In addition, they have good appetizers and interesting coffee drinks, and you will often take food home as the portions are generous. . read more

We get takeout from here fairly frequently, and I have ordered the pho several times when I've had a cold (which seems to be instantly cured!). We order from the Chinese menu primarily but all the Vietnamese dishes are wonderful too. The nice thing about the Chinese food here is it is much lighter, very flavorful but not nearly as heavy/greasy as all the other Chinese restaurants here. Very lean meats, fresh vegetables. We have never been disappointed by anything we've ordered here. read more

Delicious pho broth in a nice, sit down restaurant. The other Chinese style entrees were delicious as well.

This place started as 4 Stars and has continually declined. It's unfortunate that the server's have to take the brunt of customers wrath due to incompetent cooks that think it's OK to send appetizers out after the entree. The good quality and authenticity have disappeared. The Pad Thai lacked flavor, the noodles overcooked to mush. Very disappointing experience. read more

Loved my Shrimp Pad Thai. Huge plate with many huge shrimp. I ordered medium heat and it was perfect. Very clean. Pleasant server. Food arrived very fast. read more

Food was very weak. Ordered fried rice at this Vietnamese restaurant. The good ones I've been too are far superior and have more detail in there preparation and freshness of veggies. This was 5 $ cheap Chinese food fried rice . Disappointed read more

I got here constantly the food is amazing. This is the best quality food in Boardman in my opinion. I crave the p2 pho from here all the time! 10/10 recommend! Amazing service and clean and family orientated! read more

Great place for pho! Great summer rolls with peanut sauce! I go every chance I get! Try and order the flank raw and on the side. Put it in when it arrives at the table. Then it won't be overdone! I'm going today!!!!!! read more

I eat here often, but not because it's great. As far as Vietnamese goes, this is super basic. But if you have a cold, it will fix you right up. read more

I lived in the DC metro area for several years, a PHO soup hub of the east coast. This little place in Boardman Ohio trumps most places I have eaten at in MD DC or VA. That is alot to be said for a small town in Ohio. The soup is outstanding, the place is clean, and I noticed the soup is not full of greese like the ones of the south. Definately recommend this place for anyone who has not tried this delicious treat. It is a great experience and the wait staff is very friendly. read more

The best pho I've had locally, and summer rolls are utterly fantastic. And we enjoy dinner great Chinese cuisine also. The best Asian food ever! read more

I've been going to this place for years! The pho beef soup is to die for. Beside the fact it's probably the only place in town to get decent pho. The Service has always been great!! read more

Changed ownership. Do not come waited 1 1/2 hours for food. Some in the party waited 45 minutes after some finished lunch to get the rest of the food. Chicken and broccoli was horrible. Still have to stop and get lunch after a two and a half hour trip. 3 tables came and left before food came. To be told we waited because the chef was sick! Skip it and go to house of china read more

This is the place that I come to when I'm in the mood for some pho especially on a cold day, hits the spot. Pho is the Vietnamese version of chicken noodle soup. It also comes with a plate of fresh veggies of bean sprouts, and cilantro, but lacks the vegetable that really brings out the flavors of pho, and that is thai basil. You can order it with a variety of meats ranging from brisket, meatballs, rare beef slices, tripe all which make the pho really good. I have gotten different meats depending on my mood, and haven't been disappointed with my choices yet. Also ordered the summer rolls, which I'm used to calling them spring rolls so that was a bit of an adjustment when coming to this restaurant. The peanut sauce is a bit on the thick so, but tastes really good. I wish the summer rolls had more meat in them. After the first bite, I did feel like I was biting into a head of lettuce. All in all a good place to go for some vietnamese food. Other things on the menu were Chinese food options too. read more

Stop in for lunch and it was very good. Food was fresh and the service was very fast. It's not a fancy place but it's nice if your looking for something a little different. read more

I am a Vnese and i have been trying Pho in every single city in the states that i have been to. These bowls are the worst. If you're thinking of Vnese food, probably think of driving to Cleveland. They dont have authentic pho either but at least i can finish a bowl.. read more

This place is great. My family and I eat here every time I come to town to visit. I fell in love with pho when I lived in LA, and this restaurant does not disappoint. Everything is very fresh and perfectly seasoned. They actually offer some Chinese dishes in addition to their Vietnamese food. I am not normally a big Chinese food eater, but I tasted some of my wife's food and it was pretty good. read more

Can't remember what it was called, but what I got was a soup with rare steak and flank slices (I think it was p6 or soemthing). First time I ever had vietnamese and it was delicious. This soup is definitely one of the oddest, weirdest yet good dishes I've eaten. The meat cooks in the soup so it's not completely raw. Didn't care for the rice noodles in the soup though. The summer rolls were really good. Overall good place read more

The best soup you can create my boyfriend & I loved it. Thanks to my cousin & her husband who took us there

Love Pho Saigon. Best Chinese/Vietnamese food around. Good service and price. Lucky to have them in Boardman.
