I loved it so much! The person who made the drinks was very enthusiastic and welcoming. I believe their name was Riley, but I'm not quite sure. The hospitality of the staff is unmatched. It was busy at lunchtime on a Friday. The cafe is so cute! Charmingly decorated. We ordered at the counter, took a table number and found our seats. One note about that: being a large person, the seats made me a little nervous. Next time i would opt for booth seating which looked a bit more substantial. Our entrees were brought out before our appetizers, but they looked so good I didn't even care. Couldn't wait to dig in. I had Pho Ga chicken noodle soup. Appetizer was pork on a stick. Tender inside, crisp and sweet outside. Two skewers was plenty for us. My daughter had the lemon grass chicken with a fried egg. It looked great, she said it was very good. Our food was appealingly presented, and service was good. We each drank water and our bill was over $36. Not cheap for lunch but not outrageous and quality and portion sizes justified the cost. We will definitely return to try more menu items.

I've been to Pho Lang several times and just realized I've never left a review. My apologies,…read morebecause this place deserves the recognition! First, the service is outstanding. The young woman with the glasses and her hair in a bun who works behind the bar clearly loves what she does. Her enthusiasm, warmth, and service make the entire industry proud. People like her are what make a restaurant experience memorable! Now, let's talk about the chicken wings. These wings deserve an award! I always order mine plain, without the sauce. I know you're probably famous for your sauces, but trust me, these wings are absolutely killer all on their own! Today, I finally tried a bowl of pho for the first time, and OH MY GOSH! Where have I been?! The flavor was incredible, and I can't believe it took me this long to try it. I live practically a few feet away from this restaurant, and honestly, I'm embarrassed that I haven't been coming here more often. Thank you for another exceptional, outstanding experience. Great food, wonderful service, and a neighborhood restaurant worth celebrating. You have a loyal neighbor who will definitely be back! With appreciation, Your neighbor, Scott Ford

Pho Lang Thang We…read morewere working nearby today and decided to look for a pho restaurant for a quick lunch. Coming from California, where we have so many great Vietnamese restaurants, it's a little difficult for me not to make comparisons. We ordered the Pho Dac Biet (Special Combination Pho) and Pho Tai Nam Bo Vien (Rare Steak, Brisket, and Beef Meatballs). Here's my personal opinion on the food. The pho was decent, as long as I didn't compare it to what I'm used to in California. The rare steak was sliced a little too thick, which made it slightly chewy. The brisket was also a bit tough and not as tender as I would have liked. One thing I really appreciated was the generous amount of green onions they added to the pho. I personally love having lots of green onions in my bowl, so that was definitely a nice touch! However, what really stood out to me was the customer service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We were busy and only had about 30 minutes for lunch, but they still made sure to check on us and make us feel well taken care of. As someone who truly appreciates small businesses, I always have a lot of respect for places that put customer service first. Food is subjective. What tastes amazing to one person may not be the same for someone else. But great customer service is something everyone can appreciate. Sometimes, it's not just the food that brings customers back -- it's the way you treat them. The restaurant itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. They also serve beer and other alcoholic beverages. One thing to keep in mind is parking. Since the restaurant is located near downtown, finding a parking spot close to the entrance can be a little challenging. Overall, while the pho wasn't quite what I'm used to back in California, I genuinely appreciated the hospitality and the effort the staff put into making customers feel welcome. Good food may bring customers in, but great service is what makes them want to come back.

The staff were friendly and the service was fine, just a little slow, and they weren't super busy. It's definitely a different setup than it was under previous ownership. There seems to be plenty of seating, although the configuration has changed, and it's a little strange. If you ever came to the restaurant when it was TanThai, do not expect it to be the same. The menu has also changed since the previous owners of Yum Mi. Some of the options we previously enjoyed are no longer available. I ordered the pad kee mow, and, while it was pretty good, it didn't seem to have enough sauce. My wife ordered the pad thai, and again, it was pretty good but not amazing. We were also thrown off by the spice trays they bring out. It wasn't very clear whether you are supposed to order a certain spice level, or if it's a create your own spice level. While it was kinda neat to have a few spice options brought to the table, I could have done without it. Overall, my wife and I left a little disappointed. It's just not the same place it used to be. It's not bad, but it's not amazing. We both agreed that it was probably our last visit.
