Last time I ate here I enjoyed my meal, but this time here are my complaints, 1st the large bowl shrunk in half, they serve it on a plate now, so it looks big, but the bowl is smaller, most often I get #1 no tendon/tripe, rare meat on the side.
I do the rare meat on the side, because most places the broth is boiling, so when they add the rare meat, it's well done, tough, and chewy by the time you get it. I like to use the soup to cook my meat according to my liking. The rare meat was was giant piece not even cut up, I finally got into 2 giant pieces, then that's when I discovered the visual illusion on the bowl, because my meat wouldn't cook in the Pho, because there wasn't much broth, because the bowl was small.
I have ordered Pho #1 at least 100 times, so my method has worked 100 times, this time it didn't. I don't know if the soup sat in the window for a while and cooled down, I don't know if their broth wasn't proper temp, not sure, but I couldn't eat my Pho because the Rare Meat didn't cook enough where I felt comfortable eating it.
I knew it would need to be nuked or zapped in my Flavor Wave. Next there was tons of dust particles floating in the air, I mean it looked like snow flakes there were so many particles in the air, I couldn't figure out where this dust was coming from but it was disgusting like PigPen had walked by, so we, me and my Dad, looked around, and there's a Giant metal fan up above us with TONS of DUST on it, it wasn't moving, but the door was open today due to nice weather, and I am not sure if the breeze was creating it or what.
Then we looked up, they have the nice lights but if you look at the long stem that goes to the ceiling they are full of dust, so I don't know if it was above us directly the fan or a combination, but it was DISGUSTING know this stuff was going into the food and in my nose, etc.
Last the waitress never checked on us, and my soup was sitting there uneaten, never came by, nothing. I worked in restaurants, so I even pre-bussed the table, still didn't come by, then finally the waitress for another table asked if I wanted a to go container, I have 1 large soup, she brings 1 container, and I clearly need 2. I have to attempt to move the soup into the container, and quickly fill it.
Our waitress still hasn't come by, she finally comes over, doesn't ask any questions, and I have to ask her for another container and she gives us the bill. I would not go there again. They can do way better. They are the pricey too. If I crave Pho, I gotta stick to my #1 spot. read more
