P24. Short Rib Pho (Noodle Soup)

Save your money -- do NOT eat here. Before ordering the P24 Short Ribs pho, I specifically asked the server if the meat was fall-off-the-bone and good quality. He told me it was. When the dish came out, the short ribs were extremely overcooked and basically inedible. The meat was tough, chewy, stuck to the bone, and clearly low quality. I brought this up and asked if there was anything they could do -- even offered to switch to a different meat and pay if needed -- but the server said there was nothing he could do and offered zero solutions. No attempt to fix the issue, no alternative, nothing. Overall, this was a really disappointing experience. Poor food quality and even worse customer service. I won't be coming back.

This place was referred to us by my husband's barber. We had the Pho Tai, pork eggrolls, grilled pork springrolls and Brazilian lemonade. Restaurant was clean and the staff were attentive. It was all delicious. I ordered a medium pho and honestly could have eaten the child's!! lol Everything was delicious, we definitely found our new pho place! Highly recommended!!

Chicken stir fried noodles - 9/10 - $16 Chicken egg rolls - 10/10 - $6 Beef fried rice - 8/10 - $20 Chicken pho - 7/10 - $15 Beef stir fried noodles - 7/10 - $20 Beef pho - 7/10 - $20 Tried this Halal pho spot after hearing a lot about it. To my surprise, their other items like the noodles and fried rice tasted better than their pho. My friends tried their chicken and beef phos and werent a fan because it lacked flavor. Overall this spot was decent.

Visited today during lunch and got the combination pho size medium and a pork manh mi. Both were really delicious. I'll definitely be back.

Tonight was our 2nd time dining here. The place is clean and the waitstaff is attentive. My husband and daughter had beef pho and they said it was really good. I had bun bo hue and it's legit. The flavors are spot on. I've never had meatballs in bun bo hue before but it was pretty good. I've tried bun bo hue at our restaurants around Houston and it's not as good as this place. The fried rice was good as well as the egg rolls. The last time we were here we had rice and pork chop and it was really good too. I highly recommend this place.

Overpriced. Average food. Great atmosphere/service. Pretty decent for Halal Viet Cuisine. This place is very clean. The servers are nice and makes sure you're good to go. There's a bunch of TV's around of the famous Viet food YouTuber, Viet Thao, giving his review of this place. Very fun and interesting to watch (and a great convo starter). They offer Halal options on a separate menu than the original. My friend said the food was pretty good but overpriced. Bun Bo Hue (3/5): The broth was extremely lacking. While there was plenty of meat, most of it was over-cooked and rubbery. I was really disappointed by the pork bone because it should be soft and melt in your mouth. If you're looking to eat traditional Vietnamese food, find your nearest mom and pop shop because it will be cheaper and more flavorful. For Halal, it pretty decent. Verdict: Hype is not worth it.

Bun Bo N1. Oh Yeah Hue Spicy Noodle Soup

Me and my husband both had the Bun Bo Hue Oh Yeah soup and this was easily the best bun Bo hue I've had in America. It felt just like the Bun Bo Hue back in Vietnam. This place feels authentic to the core. Hands down 10/10. We will be coming back.

H4. Chicken Egg Rolls (3). Outstanding!
    Sir G.

Food is really good with specific focus on their pho and chicken egg rolls. Honestly, some of the best we have ever had and therefore the 4 stars. It is an easy 5 star restaurant if the service was not beyond horrific. We are not the first to complain about this. It boggles the mind. Why have outstanding food yet receive scathing reviews on service and not fix it. It will be the end of you. Trust us! Fire them all and retrain all your service staff. It is that bad! Potential to be a top pho restaurant. Not only in Katy but in Houston. Fix the front of your store and see your review improve dramatically.

on the hunt for good bun rieu west of houston. place is relatively clean inside. no issues finding parking. so what's weird is bun rieu isn't on the menu but if you ask they have it. the parties that came in after me also ordered it. first thing i noticed was the huge the serving was. it was loaded. quantity doesn't always mean quality but overall i very much enjoyed their bun rieu. they added shrimp in there which was new to me but hey who doesn't like shrimp. they used meatballs instead of cha too. but was good. the rieu was incredibly tender and lotsa crab. the broth was decent. my wife got bun bo hue and the broth was amazing. would come back here again if craving bun rieu and didn't want to drive to bellaire. it hit the spot and great value for your money

We came here with inlaws that know about the celebrity (?) that opened up this restaurant. Upon entering, the restaurant had a pretty outdated 90s vibe and the printed menus were also looked like they were the product of a home printer instead of a professionally printed product. The menu looked pretty standard compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. Pho, BBH, vermicelli dishes etc. The menu prices were about 40-50% higher than a Vietnamese restaurant in Bellaire. Pho and such were $15 instead of the usual $7-9. Same with the entire menu pretty much. The taste of all of the dishes were fine. I've had better pho and better bun bo hue in Houston at a lower price point. Service was pretty much; you order, we bring you food, we take your plates. Nothing extraordinary and for the price, this definitely wasn't worth it and there are much better options at a lower price point and at the same price point. I don't know who this celebrity is, but it kinda seems like a Vietnamese Guy Fieri opening a restaurant and hoping the hype carries it; I hope it does because the food isn't impressive at all.

Let's start with location, Taco Fuego has 5 locations to choose from. A mixture of store front and taco trucks. I decided to stop at their Katy location (taco truck) located at 1005 Katy fort bend road. This truck was very easy to find. My husband and I really wanted give this place a try for a couple reasons, 1. Every picture you see on IG makes your mouth water lol. 2. Their meat is fresh and locally sourced! The truck itself is nice, and clean. Also has a little Led sign that says catch tacos not feelings super cute for an IG photo. Service was quick, friendly and informative. We ordered a few different tacos to try: The Quesabirria Taco~ Birria or chicken, cheese, limes, cilantro and pickled onions on a corn tortilla. This one was really good and it definitely has a bit of a kick. The meat is so flavorful you do not need to add any additional sauces. The Barbacoa Taco~ Beef Barbacoa, cilantro, onions and salsa verde on a corn tortilla. This one was in the top 2 for me. Yum!! That beef was cooked to perfection! The Texan Taco~ brisket, Monterey Jack cheese, corn, cilantro, pickled onions and creamy cilantro on a flour tortilla. My husband inhaled it. Lolol. I got a tiny bite and it was very good. All of the flavors worked together so well! The Shrimp Taco~ my absolute favorite! Fried Shrimp, Monterey Jack Cheese, Sour Cream and Cajun sauce on a flour tortilla. The shrimp was fire. Perfectly seasoned. I don't know what they put in that Cajun sauce but they need to bottle it so I can take it home! Other things to note: Everything is halal They offer a veggie taco option They offer more than tacos. Ex: Ramen, Burgers, pupusas, empanadas, flautas and tamales. Churros for dessert! Drinks include: Horchata, lemonade and Cantaloupe. Be prepared to dine in your car.

It's also where I take my out of town visitors- it's that good. Located within a strip mall, but it's got a cute ambience, with low key music, and wallpaper that pretties the place up. My regular order includes their Thai tea, cheese rolls, yellow curry with chicken, pad Thai (wrapped in an omelet- so cool!) and their fried rice. Alllllll of it is so good. But wait, there's more....... The exterior could definitely use some work. Host stand plopped outside. Inside felt a little crowded. Wine cellar-ish. Mother's Day, a bit chaotic for all restaurants. Took 10-15 minutes to be greeted after being sat. No big deal, I get it. Santiago was great. We did the mystery mimosa experience which was fun! We go to order our food and BOOM!! This is where they get you. It was all a lie. A very deceiving menu written in a way where you think you're going to get oxtails and jollof rice plus appetizer and dessert for $55 per person. Because that's a great price, not really a deal, just a great price. WRONG. Santiago had to clarify that it was $55 EXTRA ON TOP OF $42 PER PERSON. SO $97 PER PERSON FOR OXTAILS AND JOLLOF RICE, AN APP & DESSERT. RIDICULOUS! TOTALLY DISHONEST AND DECEIVING. Write it as $55 additional per person, so everyone knows what they're getting into before they reserve their table. Because Santiago admitted everyone he served that day was shocked at the additional cost. Not wanting to ruin my wife's FIRST Mother's Day, I brushed it off and still continued with the order. Appetizer: tequeño & empanada. Bland, came out cold and after our entrees came out. Entrees: Oxtail & Jollof rice. I loved it. Flavor was great. Just wish there was a lot more. For $97, you expect to have 6-8 large oxtails and a side of rice. What i got was 4 very tiny oxtails and a full plate of rice!! Peri peri chicken & jollof rice- flavor was nice and smoky. But again, for $97, you expect more than 2 avg size leg quarters and a full plate of rice. Dessert: They were out of key lime pie by noon. I saw the cheesecake, it was a thin plain slice, so we opted for their seis leches cake. It was not good. It was not soaked enough, very dry. The reason the score wasn't lower was because service was great, the entrees tasted great and they gave each mother a single rose and Mother's Day card which had a pin in it that said best mom ever. Which made my wife's day even that much better. Thank you Chef Casey. But I don't think I would visit again solely based on the deceiving menu and small portions that are not worth the additional cost.
