Nice chilly day, of course nice bowl of Pho is in order. I had Pho from Mesa location so I decided to give this place a try. Small restaurant and it was pretty busy for lunch time.. Ordered the special Pho which was $16, not a bad price for the dish. My food came pretty quick. Broth was pretty good. Broth had nice flavor and hearty.. One of the better broth I had in a while. Portion was pretty good for the price but only thing I was sad about was lack of meat. I scooped around for the cartilage but none to be found.. WTH... First time eating Pho with everything but missing cartilage.. I was sad.. Over all Pho was pretty good and for the price.. This place was 3 and half but closer to 3 then 4. I would come back here though..

This is a great place for authentic pho and other Vietnamese dishes. There is plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant. The service is good and the staff are super friendly. This is just a basic place to get really good pho The spring rolls were perfect. The most amazing thing which haunts my mind is the coffee sua da or coffee milk ice. So good just like in Vietnam only arabica not robusta. My server was Mung(happy) and very nice. I'll be back even if just for the coffee

Beef pho with "extra 5$ beef". Very good broth. As with everyone else complaint. Extremely lacking in beef.

I'm just going to rate the food. Because that's all that I personally care about. The pho was excellent. Noodles are excellent. The number is protein is lacking. Especially ordering an additional serving.

Pho and spring rolls were just OK. The meat to rice noodle ratio is off for the pho. Definitely a lot more rice noodle vs meat. The broth was fine. Vegetables were a bit sad, and the spring rolls were fine, but nothing super memorable. Decent place in Tempe if you're craving pho.

Definitely a hole in the wall but amazing. The service was great and the spring rolls were some of the best we have had. The pho broth was really good and the meatballs and steak were excellent. Definitely a place we will be back to if we are craving Pho. 4% discount for cash.

When the server brought the noodle soup to the table, thought she gave us the wrong one. Looks like a kid's size with no meat. No way we got ourselves a vegetarian noodle soup til we found a few small pieces of beef after noodle is mixed. It's New Year's Eve. Don't feel like saying anything bad to them. No service too. No water or tea offered or served. A place we would not go back to.

The orange chicken is tasty too. The desserts were just okay, they look fun and cute, but the flavors were a bit simple for my taste. The staff are very nice, friendly, and quick, which made the experience even better. The restaurant is a little old, but it's still clean and comfortable. Overall, it was a nice place to try , I always enjoy exploring new spots and gaining new experiences

Not my favorite spot for Szechuan!…read more The waitress's rec for my friend who really wanted something Szechuan spicy was not spicy at all - tasted like it was spiced with red pepper flakes and some other hot sauce that just seemed really greasy. We also asked for more bok choy since there was only 2 pieces in the whole dish and they charged us $2 for that. I didn't think that was very fair. When asking for water, be sure to be ready to pay for bottled because they don't serve tap. You must buy a beverage. Overall the squid was tasty and crispy, my delights were satisfied by the novelty items like having dragons breath in a decorated dragon den, and at night this place has been a treat to be in (bustling with students coming for the lights and other novelty plushies/labubu's and holographic decor) but this would not be my first choice to bring family to for an authentic experience.

Order at the cashier, grab a number, and food will be served to you. Needless to say, I ordered the 4. Shanghai pork mini soup dumplings which were $10.25 for 6 dumplings. I would've loved less dough, more soup, overall bigger portion size (larger dumplings or more of them). Otherwise, the soup itself was tasty. We also ordered the 14. Chongqing Fried Spicy Chicken $13.95, which was a platter of boneless chicken and peppers. I was very impressed with the crisp exterior but soft/juicy interior of the chicken. I'm not usually a spice person, but I was left feeling tingly but not in pain and not numb. Overall I found Heng's Kitchen to be disproportionately pricey given the taste and portion sizes. I'm pretty critical and discerning about my XLB, and this place did not totally satisfy my craving, although I was pleasantly surprised about the chicken. Note: rice is not included with any dish and is $1 extra. Free room-temperature self-serve water available.
