I've got to start off by saying I've only eaten Pho one other time before trying Pho-natic, so my review is not an attempt to compare this restaurant to any one else, but exclusively describe my first experience here.
A good friend invited everyone out for her birthday dinner on a Tuesday night and wanted to go to her favorite place to eat Pho...Pho-Natic. There was only a few customers seated at the front tables but we were seated in the back area since we were expecting 10+ people. The wait staff was super friendly and attentitive, everyone's waters were always topped off, they were happy to get you anything you needed at any point during your meal. I ordered the veggie spring rolls and the Vietnamese Meatball with a side of rare steak. The spring rolls were great, and their included peanut sauce was very tasty and complimentary. Per my friend's request I peppered my side of rare steak and doused it in Sriraka sauce, rolled each piece of meat up and gingerly placed inside the broth of my pho to cook. Everything tasted great and I was pleasantly full afterwards, but not weighed down feeling.
At the end of our meal our waiter was more than willing to split our checks up per person/couple to make things easier, no hassle at all...it's hard to find a waiter/waitress willing to do this these days. The restaurant is very clean, the decor is brand-new and easy on the eyes and creates a warm atmosphere to enjoy your food. I have to agree with other Yelpers who have mentioned the lack of music, they could use some! It wasn't that noticeable on the first visit, but when my girlfriend and I returned later the same week and not having a large crowd chatting you notice there's no ambiance being created from any music. Just the sound of pho being slurped and people sniffling from the over abundance of sriracha they put in their meal. Other than that, I would say 5 stars, as the lack of music makes you feel like your table conversation must be whispered to avoid others easily listening in while you wait for your food. And maybe a liquor license would be a good idea just for shits-n-giggles?
I will be back though, ain't nothing gonna break my pho-stride. read more
