I wanted my Pho fixed today so I Yelped the closest one. I found this place, so I ordered and made my way there. I got there in about 10 minutes after I ordered and I checked the status of my order and it said it would be ready in about a half an hour. Instead of waiting I walked in and see how long my order would actually take. To my surprise, in about 5 minutes, the waiter came my food. I was impressed. I was on my way home and I received their phone call letting me know they forgot the broth for my Pho, which is the most important part. Luckily I was about only 10 minutes away. I drove back and had to wait another 5 minutes to get the broth. When I was actually given the broth, it was cold and although it's easy for me to heat it up in one of my pots, I shouldn't have to warm up food I just ordered. Overall, the food was really good but the service was questionable. The place was packed, but they should be able to handle traffic from pick up and dine in's. Instead of trying to get such fast service with food, make sure all items are there before the customer leaves. Would've love to give this place a 5, but today, they earned a 3. read more

We drive almost an hour out of Boston for this place. I always get the pho tai extra large and the portion size is amazing! The broth is very savory and not too salty. The service is great with a friendly staff. The restaurant is very clean as well as the bathrooms. They also offer liquor and beer! Found this place by accident after a quick shopping spree at South Shore Plaza. This place is one of the more reviewed Vietnamese places in Randolph, and their food did not disappoint! Ordered the Vietnamese Beef Salad and regular Phó with Eye Round steak for dinner. The salad was fresh, acidic with slightly blanched beef strips, and it has just the right amount of spiciness! The Phó was equally good as well, love the broth profile as it was less beefy and the spice is more pronounced than a lot of other Vietnamese spots around Boston that I've tried so far. Service was fast, no fuss and the food is moderately priced. They do serve the iconic 7 course beef tasting, which I am considering of trying on next visit. Went to Pho 98 C for dinner with the family and was very happy with the authenticity of the food. We've had good Vietnamese food in San Jose, San Francisco and LA and was very surprised that we would get comparable food in Randolph, MA. The Pho was flavorful with all the right fixings, #61 vermicelli with shrimp, pork, egg roll and fried tofu was delicious and #68 vermicelli with grilled pork and shrimp wrapped with sugar cane was done just right. Even the durian shake was very authentic. The menu selection is huge but owners are able to make each dish as it should be made. We will be back for our Vietnamese fix when we're on the right coast. read more

The only negative about this place is that it's so far from my house! Luckily, kids' sports brings us to the area frequently and we never miss an opportunity to get our pho on. Our server even knows what our usuals are. We've tried many different pho places in many states and this place is our favorite! So much more than Phö! My intentions were for pho but then a menu with many pages of choices came out. I cannot ever pass on anything in a clay pot, so I chose #100. The chicken was so tender and roasted perfectly, all the vegetables were cooked perfectly and it had such a variety I knew I was eating healthy. Went here yesterday with a friend. A pretty neat pho restaurant. Unlike all the other pho places I've been to, this one is spacious. This makes the whole experience a lot different and enjoyable. Granted we came here when it wasn't busy, but even if it was, you wouldn't have to worry about someone's body rubbing against you while he/she is trying to squeeze by to leave his/her seat. We ordered 3 items: pork spring rolls, shrimp French toast, and seafood claypot. Spring rolls are spring rolls, nothing much to say about them. It tasted good is all I'll say. The shrimp French toast though!! Oh em gee. So freaking delicious! A must try. The shrimp meat is mixed with other ingredients and topped on a baguette. They cut it into 4 pieces; I ate one and my friend ate 3 because he's a hungry child, but next time I go I would gladly gobble down the whole order myself. The seafood claypot was also pretty good! The rice was chewy with a bouncy texture? I'm not sure how to describe it, but I liked the rice! It came mixed with squid, shrimp, scallops, mushrooms, baby corns, carrots, onions...and maybe a few other things. I thought the flavor was just right, but my friend found it a bit on the bland side. We love pho. We lived on it in Seattle and seek it out whenever we can get some. We ordered beef brisket phos - mine also had (extra) tendon. It was good, the restaurant is clean, and the service was good. There were a bunch of ppl in the restaurant which is always a good sign and that was around 4pm. Bae ordered a dirty martini which we were told couldn't be made by our *very young* waitress - I think she didn't know what was in one since she was like errr we don't have the sauce lol and then gave us the cocktail menu... first thing on the menu ... dirty martini! So he ordered that - it was actually good but the only drawback is that it came with ice in it. :D Since she was the one that made it and was probably not even able to drink I think she'll just figure it out eventually. About 1 year later and this place still holds up when it comes to quality Vietnamese food. The appetizers (goi cuon and bo la lot) were tasty. The beef noodle soup warmed up my cold soul. WE had a training in Randolph and needed a place for a power lunch and my trusty Yelp App pointed me here and I am glad it did! We love Vietnamise food and this place is where it is at. Wonderful first impression, the family / owner greeted us with a smile and was super friendly. Asked if were local and asked us how we found them. I told them Yelp! The restaurant is super clean! Noted and appreciated on all levels. We went with fresh rolls with pork and shrimp and they were super fresh and good with the peanut sauce. I could eat those all day! I then had the Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp (tails on) which the shrimps were a tad overcooked but no biggie. Loved having the nice sauces and condiments to sample on the table. This place is legit! I had the Pho with beef round and flank... delicious. Comes with giant fresh pile of basil/sprouts. Vietnamese iced coffee was perfect as well. The decor is bright and new. This is my first time here so I'm not sure if this place is new our remodeled but it is nice. It's right next to a $0.99 store so I was worried when I arrived but the interior atmosphere is very clean, calm, and nice. I well definitely return. P.S. HAVE THE FLAN!! Love being the first to review a hidden gem! Randolph has several Vietnamese restaurants opening... but you can tell that Plum Bistro had a smart roll out plan before opening their restaurant to the public early August 2014. This adorable bistro has an easy to read menu, incredible customer service, and food that is so light-yet-comforting. I see a good future for them and look forward to my many "thank yous" after you read this review! Ok let's break up the categories... Decor - Zen. It was clean, calming, had nice art and flowers all around... Somehow I accidentally spent two hours eating and catching up with a friend. We actually forgot we were in Randolph at one point. Menu- Although, I mastered the art of traditional menu reading... It was refreshing to browse through a menu that had clear descriptions. It made it easier for me to pick out my favorites and to also try something completely new! Beer and wine coming soon! Customer Service - Good food doesn't mean anything without good customer service! The first time I came here (yes, i've been here twice already) - the owner introduced herself, thanked us for visiting, and suggested a few items on the menu. The next day (yes, I went consecutively) the entire staff (including Susan the owner) was extremely enthused and was calling me by my first name! The attentiveness of the wait staff was incredible... and that alone will keep me coming back. Food - Fresh, tasty, and beautifully displayed. You can tell that everything that comes out of the kitchen is made to please the eye and the stomach. I hope with even more clientele, they continue to keep this level of detail. I tried a variety of things from apps, entrees and desserts and everything that hit the table was an A+. How do I put this? Pho 98 is a hole in the wall. Okay, not really a hole in the wall but driving up to it, as it's in a non-descript plaza, I wasn't sure what to expect. If that's you, it's okay, you should go in, because the food is great. I've been a few times now and am surprised each time by how empty their dining room is. While there are always others there, it's never full and I've never had to wait. (no complaints about that, just confused as their food is really good) Their menu is very intensive. That said, I've only had the pho, Vietnamese coffee and a few of their apps here but it's all done well. They give two choices for pho, both small/medium and large. The large portion of noodles is a lot, their portion of meat, slightly less than I'd like, but their broth isn't SUPER watered down, so I'd say that it almost evens out. I might be pickier than others but the bean sprouts and basil that comes out in partnership with the pho bowl always seems fresh and never too old/frozen etc. Pho 98 really gives a good bowl of pho. One that I'd keep coming back for. The interior is clean, brightly lit and the service is always there when you need but not annoyingly always present. I am not a huge fan of boba in icee slush as it makes the boba hard but if/when you order their slush, their lychee option is great! I came by and asked if the vermicelli could be served cold (as in room temperature) as each restaurant is different when serving their food. I have eaten this dish before but didn't want scorching hot vermicelli on a summer day. The waitress said yes so when the dish came out warm to hot, I was annoyed. She said it wasn't that hot but I explicitly stated I wanted it cold. I would have been perfectly fine if she stated that they couldn't change it but it is a poor service for someone who is a frequent customer. read more

Prob the best Pho I've had in the Randolph area in a very long time. The spring roll was stuffed and plumped, almost bursting the skin layer. I had the Veggie and Tofu Pho, it was fresh and plentiful. Soup base was not at all salty or filled with MSG, because normally I would have to drink cups upon cups of water if a dish had a lot of MSG but this time I was not feeling thirsty.
