This restaurant brought me out of my Yelp retirement :P I have had pho here several times but as to go. Visiting the restaurant is a real treat. Comfortable seating with nice spacing. Also, unique to this restaurant a sitting area for independent patrons which I think makes this Vietnamese restaurant stand apart when it comes to dining in. I notice bars like this more in Japanese restaurants. Again, all furniture is very comfortable made for you to relax and enjoy your time eating. I brought a book with me and never felt rushed, the music was a comfortable level and it wasn't too packed but steady busy for a Wednesday afternoon. The pho here is SUPREME to me. I base that on its purity, the color of the broth as well as it's packed flavor but still subtle. A nice balance of aromatics and beef flavor if you get the beef pho. The broth here is my favorite out of all the pho I've tried in all of Tampa. I definitely recommend trying it before adding sauces to see what I mean. I got the house special beef pho without tendons and tripe, extra ribeye. That's another thing that's wonderful about pho loc tho, the service is incredible and patient. They allowed me to do more of one meat and less of an other which usually other places are strict on the included ingredients. I usually get the rare ribeye pho but I decided to branch out a little today. Both are amazing, but I prefer my rare ribeye going forward. The slices of meat are thin and melt in your mouth. Great quality ingredients, and since I am trying to learn to make pho at home I learned it takes them 18 hours to make their broth here! The overall ambiance is nice. I had the pho beef It was really good. I did pay for the large bowl hoping I would get a little bit more beef. However I feel like the portion of beef was small. So if you pick the smaller bowl I'm not sure how much you would get. The spring rolls were good. My husband had fried rice and grilled pork.. great dish. Customer service was great. TLDR: Overall their food is definitely top notch and great service. Make sure to get their fried chicken wings with fish sauce and stir fried mussels! And their seafood boil is SO good! Went to Pho Loc Tho for dinner with family. We have been consistently ordering take out from them since the pandemic started but never dined in at the actual restaurant. We love their Cajun boils and that's why we really want to dine in at the restaurant. However we decided to go with the traditional Vietnamese cuisine this time around and started off with: - Fried Egg rolls - Fried Chicken Wings with fish sauce - Fried Chicken Wings with Buffalo sauce - One pound of stir fried mussels - Pork Chop platter with rice - Hu Tieu -- rice noodles soup with pork and shrimp For appetizers, the eggrolls were fresh and crispy just as we expected. However, we LOVED the fried chicken wings with fish sauce! The wings were perfectly coated and has a sweet and salty taste to them. The fried chicken wings with Buffalo sauce is good as well but pales in comparison to the ones with fish sauce. So definitely make sure you try those! For the main course we ordered one pound of stir fried mussels -- these were AMAZING! So much so that we regretted not ordering two pounds because they were gone within a minute. We also go the pork chop rice platter as well as the Hu Tieu Nam Vang. Both are really good: the pork chop has a nice char to the taste and the rice noodle soup was light and refreshing. I first tried this new Vietnamese restaurant when they just opened . As with all business there are kinks that need to be worked out and they definitely seemed to be in top of it. The owner personally took our order and made sure everything was expedited correctly. Note * vegetarian selections are not on the menu but you just have to ask. That being said, this was Vietnamese mom-approved . my mom, she does not like to go out anywhere to eat as her home cooked food is the best. Out of all the Vietnamese restaurants, this is the first one that she was pleased with and had no complaints....even ordered three more noodle soup dishes to go. We ordered the vegetarian and special pho , both were very flavorful meaty clean (little fats and oils) and didn't need additional seasoning. As appetizer we did grilled pork spring rolls and vegetarian spring rolls, both were very fresh and the peanut dipping sauce was amazing. They would do very well in Tampa! Found this place on Yelp and had to try it out. It's a small family ran Pho place and we just happened to go during Chinese New Year. Everyone was was dressed in traditional clothes and were very friendly towards us. We got the fresh rolls and two bowls of Pho. The rolls were tasty and the pho was full of meat and vegetables so I was in heaven. We live close by and will be back. read more

I've had three things here. Beef phó months ago, lemongrass tofu and the bún chay. This beef phó is good, lemongrass tofu is meh but the bun chay (rice noddle bowl) is super legit. It's like the Vietnamese version of the impossible burger but it taste just like pork. I mean you really cannot tell it's tofu at all and the seasoning and sauce makes a party in your mouth that goes on for hours. Frankly, I've been getting tired of this vegan sh*t. It's like living in a black and white 50s sitcom for me. I totally believe in the health benefits, but dayum, why does everything good for you have to be so hard! I'm on week 4 and today I was ready to quit and make a b line to Jazzy's BBQ. I mean there's only so many chipotle veggie burritos, chips n' salsa, lemongrass tofus, curry lentils over rice that you can eat! I need a sizzling streak or juicy carnitas from the nearest hole in the wall taco stand. So what does any of that have to do with this place? Well, just when I thought I was OUT, they've PULLED me back in. After eating the bun chay, it feels like I just ate meat. I'm like a drug addict that just got his nightly fix. It tasted just like shredded grilled pork and now I can go on for another week. I was about to jump off the ledge and they brought the negotiator to talk me down. I wonder how they do it... Funny, the women who took my order warned me that it's NOT actually meat. I told her "yeah, I know, that's why I choose it." She then explained that she's telling me this because it's tastes so much like the real thing some vegetarian customers called her once they got home and cursed her out, saying no way this was just tofu. I had the veggie fresh rolls and the regular veggie pho. I was surprised that you get two rolls for $3.50. I also have never had cucumber in my rolls so that was an interesting addition. It was a decent appetizer. I just wish there was a bit more of a sear or fry to the tofu slabs. I'm still searching for a good bowl of pho around here so I thought I would try this place out. The sizes are quite big even for the small which is great because you get your money's worth. My vegetarian pho had a lot of broccoli and quite a few chunks of tofu. The tofu was the standard kind that you can buy at any Asian grocery store that has a slight fry to the edges. The pho itself was...okay. I'm really searching for a unique broth and this one wasn't special. Most pho places have the same components that make up the soup (jalapenos, bean sprouts, lime, some assortment of vegetables, noodles, Thai basil, onions, green onions, and possibly some meat or tofu). So in order to really stand out, you have to have a phenomenal broth since all other restaurants have the same basics. It wasn't terrible but it didn't knock my socks off. It's just my personal preferences. I thought it was better than Pho Viet in Brandon though. The restaurant itself lacks a little bit in having a vibe but maybe as the evening drags on, the vibe picks up. I did go in the early evening and it wasn't busy. I may possibly come back to this place if there are no other pho places around that make a better bowl of pho. So, this review is subject to change. read more

Delicious food! The flavored teas are so good, the service is amazing and the ambiance of the restaurant feels very warm and inviting. My go to order is either spring rolls or the Vietnamese eggrolls, beef pho with the shaved beef and a passion fruit tea. I drive 45 minutes there AND back from plant city to eat here! Mediocre Vietnamese food. The meat content of both the pho and bun Bo hue was very low . The broth was too salty for bun bo hue and flavorless for the pho. The restaurant said the were leaving for vacation the next day , so I don't know if that was the issue . The smoothies were packed with imitation syrups The chicken wings were good. read more

my original review was from over 2 years ago and i have also taken out from here more than a few times since then. I hate to post bad reviews but I don't know, is it inflation or just ordering on a Sunday evening when they are closed the next day , not sure. But the quality of the food was not great. I ordered (takeout -didn't inspect the dish before I got home ) the Vermicelli Pork ( B1) - the pork was dried out like it was leftover from a day(or 2) ago. The vermicelli noodles are not the Vermicelli noodles that I remember. Looked more like angel hair pasta noodles. There was no daikon, no mint, no basil, no carrots, just cheap old cucumber julienned and some shredded lettuce...not sure what has happened to this place - maybe an off day- but not what I expected. I have had authentic Vietnamese food from NY where I am originally from which had a large Vietnamese community so I feel like I know what Vietnamese should be and this time the food here did not cut it for me. I was looking for a Vietnamese place to have for lunch and came across this restaurant. Overall it's alright, pretty decent, we ordered beef brisket pho and grilled pork chop rice. I've got to say that I thought the food would've tasted a better because of the ratings, however I wasn't as impressed. The pork chop portion size was generous but it wasn't as well done and crispy like the way i normally have it. The pho we got in large didn't have that much beef or noodles. If we could do half star ratings I would be giving them a 3.5. To start off the vegetarian broth for the pho was absolutely phenomenal! I've been to many pho places that tend to have watery, tasteless veggie broths, but this was amazing. Although I was given a meager amount of jalapeños, just one slice. Maybe they were running low, I don't know, but I guess I'm so used to at least 3-5 slices. I guess next time I will ask for extra jalapeños! The menu also clearly stated that the protein would be imitation ham. When in fact I received 3 small chunks of bland tofu. I was looking forward to imitation ham, but was disappointed when it was just fried tofu without any seasoning. I came for lunch. There was no wait. The staff were so friendly and helpful. All the food I had tasted like home. The banh bao was fluffy and delicious. The noodle dish had a nice kick of spiciness. I don't eat spicy food but this was the perfect amount of spiciness for me to just give it great flavor and not burn my face off. I also got Vietnamese coffee. It tasted just like the coffee I had when I visited Vietnam. Everything was clean, and they spaced out the tables to deal with COVID-19. I had a great experience and will be back! Delicious! My first experience was via delivery, as I had had dental surgery and didn't feel like leaving the house, but was craving some good pho. Even though it was a little late arriving via third-party service, it was still hot. I liked how everything was packaged separately so that nothing got mushy in transit, and the broth was super flavorful. My husband and I were fortunate enough to be invited to a birthday party for a good friend of ours, Mrs Ly. We had such an amazing time here. The food was great! Especially the wings! I love the lemon pepper and the Parmesan ones as well. The wrapped shrimp are awesome! And ....oh my goodness, the Pho is magnificent! I tried so hard, wanted this so hard for a Viet place out in the burbs to be worthy of a Pho smackdown with the best of Tampa and St Pete. Luckily for owners of Saigon Deli (SW corner of Dale Mabry and Waters, adjacent to Zaxbys) and Pho Kien Giang in Pinellas Park, they will be sleeping without worry tonight. I had read the yelp reviews and heard the buzz, so I gathered the family into the car and headed over with my family and several hungry children in tow. Firstly, although located in a small new strip complex behind the Mobil gas station, there was more than enough parking to be found at 6 PM on Mother's Day. We felt a little worried when we saw the OPEN lights were not lit up, like maybe we should've called ahead to see if they had special hours, but luckily they were open, which is the first hurdle to prove legitimacy - Asian restaurants never close. Although small, the ambience is cute But try to sit in the back. If you sit up front, you will get all the bugs or hot air entering from the front entrance. Our table was probably 6 feet away from the front door. Moving onto food, because that's what you're really here for, our table ordered seven bowls of noodles soups : different variations of pho, bun no hue, and the "ultimate" seafood soup. While the spices and seasonings were technically present, it was just all ruined by a thin, young broth - the scourge of all Viet soup bases, broth that hasn't simmered the 10+ hours to beat the full bodied and complex taste out of the bone marrow and spices. For some reason my noodles were hard. I wonder if the kitchen also tries to elevate the food too much. Lobster in Pho? Quail eggs in the seafood noodle soup? Nice touches but it's better to master the basics before tossing in the fancy stuff. Guess I still live a minimum 35 mins drive to get good Pho. read more

Decent place, when in the Brandon area I usually go to Pho Viet but noticed this place on map search and tried it out. The Hue Tieu what's pretty good, they use pork broth and not chicken broth which is good but I wasn't a fan of the glass noodles. I like my egg noodles in my Hue Tieu. The Goi Cuon was good but the peanut sauce was pretty bland. My waiter was really nice, friendly and was running around waiting on people. Definitely a good server. read more
