Great quality for the price. A must-stop if you love pho in Portland! Service was quick and friendly

The menus make ordering a snap, whether you've been here before, or not.

Every time I come back here, the ambiance seems to be a bit nicer than the previous visit, and the food continues to be fantastic. The menu appears to have been streamlined, with photos and clear descriptions for every level of customer. Each table has everything you need (chopsticks, silverware, hot oil, sauces, napkins) in a neat dispenser, making it easy for the wait staff to concentrate on taking orders, delivering food, and efficiently turning the tables to be ready for the next group of customers. As always, I'm torn between the pho and the vermicelli rice bowls, but there are no wrong choices here.

My go to spot for a Viet meal. Food is consistent and comes out fast. I respect the waiters for carrying such heavy and hot bowls so well. Restaurant is fairly spacious and can hold large parties. The parking lot is not my favorite but it works. Their phở đặc biệt and bùn bò Huế are my usual order.

You've driven by a million times. Pho Hung has been there waiting for you! It was a holiday, and everything else was closed. Thank you for staying open, we appreciate you so much. We ordered #1, #48, and some salad-rolls. Everything was delicious- lots of beef in the broth if you know what I mean. It was busy, but the service matched the crowd and the vibe. You can cash out at the counter anytime which is convenient if you have somewhere to be, or if you want to order some apps to-go .

I absolutely enjoyed my whole experience here. The vibes 10/10 food 10/10 and even the bubble tea was 10/10! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is having a pho craving & would go back myself!

This Pho place will always have a special place in my heart. I've been eating here since I was 2 right after I moved to Oregon from NYC. This was one of my first restaurants that I ate at, in Oregon and honestly the best one. My parents loved this place so much that to this day we still go here so many times! The cuisine variety is so big that you could eat a different thing there for 100 days and you still wouldn't have tired it all! The broth of all soups is so rich, flavorful and you can tell that it would just made. They also add so much meat, like they're generous with it, and it always is the most tender delicious thing ever. The herbs are what adds the sparkle. They always have the crunchiest bean sprouts and mhmhmm, the lime gives it that final touches. What I also love so much about this place is how clean it is and fresh. You could smell the Pho from outside and it just kind of, intrigues you into the store. I've been to a lot of restaurants and I find hair, dirty plates, etc in there food but this place, for as many years, I never found anything gross in there food, or dishes being dirty, which give me a trustable feeling about this place. The staff here are also elite! On Vietnamese New Years so called Tết, my little brother and I were eating at the this restaurant and one of the waiters came up handed us a red envelope, and I thought inside would maybe be a $1 bill, but was I so wrong. Inside was 5 $2 bills!!!? My brother was so happy, and that just made his and my day. Well to wrap up everything, the food is authentic, the place is clean and cozy and the staff are amazing people, plus another thing to add, the food always comes out quick!

Both Pho Hung locations are considered the best in Portland by foodies in my circles. I think this location is owned by the sister and the on on Powell is owned by the brother. If you prefer a more Vietnamese ambiance, this location has it hands down. The elegant elevated wooden booths are great if you want more privacy. Today I asked the waiter which Pho has the most soft tendon. He replied that they could add more soft tendon to any of the Phos. I wanted more soft tendons because Chinese believe that it nourishes the joints and connective tissue as a natural source of collagen. The answer is #9 Eye of Round with Soft Tendons. I'm loving it Fresh Avocado shakes are my go to for beverages. Ask the waiter which have fresh fruit on ingredients. That's one of the special things about this place, over and above a standard Boba place. Check it out!

    Bun Bo Hue

I got my fav dish as a Vietnamese person, Bún bò Hue. Noodles were so soft and yummy and flavor immaculate! If you like spicy beef noodle soup this is a classic! I grew up coming here, and it's one of the fool proof pho places! Service was great too!

Came in with a large group an hour before closing. We were kindly greeted and seated. Our group was a bit confusing I'm sure because not all of us ordered. I ordered a beef pho. It was 8.5/10! I've had better but it was super good and exactly what I needed. I ended up eating the entire bowl. I definitely prefer some other spots but I wouldn't be mad being taken here.

Very expensive for an average pho. Would I eat this if it was right next to my house? Sure! Will I order it again living in the burbs? Nope! Ice tea lemonade was super good! And the salad rolls were decent. Good peanut sauce which is a plus. Ordered delivery from Grubhub which was a good experience. All of my food came and it was hot.

The pho is good but I'm not satisfied with my solo dine in experience. I also feel they skimped on the tendon for my order. Also the soup was a tad bit too oily for my taste. I may just stick with take out as I usually find the pho itself is good, but not so much when I am dining in. Hopefully next time I'll have more positive things to say.

As Vietnamese girlies, we're always looking for a good pho restaurant whenever we're craving it. We've been to a few places and this one provides a rich flavored broth! It had a slightly different taste than the other places we've tried, but it was good. We each had a small bowl and it was the perfect portion.

We're so glad to have found this great Vietnamese restaurant in Portland after recommendation from a friend! We tried one of their Pho, a rice dish and a Vermicelli bowl in our first visit. The broth is clear and super flavorful. Both of the portion sizes are large, so even a small size is good for a hearty appetite. the Phò is served piping hot, as it should be. There are plenty of spices on each table if you'd like to add some extra heat. The pork chops in the rice dish were flavorful and delicious, as were the pork in the vermicelli bowl. The restaurant is large, with plenty of seating and the service is great. They have adequate parking on both sides. Phò Hung has one of the best Phò in Portland, but you've got to try their other dishes as well... we've visited them a couple of time thus far and have tried other dishes on the menu... they're all good! This should be added to your "must visit" places if you like Vietnamese food.

With that being said, I do think that the food could use a bit more work. The restaurant is called Luc Lac, and so naturally I ordered their namesake dish. The beef was not very tender or juicy and the flavors overall seemed to be lacking. Portion sizes, however, are very generous, so I'll give them that. I tried the Durian Horchata and sadly could not taste any durian flavor. I know that durian can be an acquired taste (and smell), but the drink just tasted like a regular horchata with some hints of pandan. Maybe I will return to try their cocktails.

Downtown Portland's hidden gem for authentic Vietnamese!…read more I was walking around downtown Portland and stumbled upon Cuốn Vietnamese Street Food, and honestly, it was the best meal of my week . If you are looking for fresh, flavorful, and satisfying comfort food, do not walk--run to this spot. To get the full experience, we ordered a variety, and every single item was a hit. We started with the Beef Pho, and the broth was the absolute star. It was rich, aromatic, and deeply savory, clearly simmered for hours. It was the perfect dish on a sunny Portland day. We also grabbed a Chicken Banh Mi. The bread had that perfect crispy crust with a soft, airy crumb, and the chicken was grilled to perfection with fresh veggies and herbs. Of course, we had to wash it all down with a creamy, sweet Thai Tea--it was delicious and the perfect end to the meal. Beyond the food, the vibe is great. It's a super clean, casual spot with big windows letting in lots of natural light. It's set up for quick counter service, which makes it perfect for a fast lunch downtown, but the staff is so friendly and welcoming that you feel right at home. It's a family-run business, and you can taste the passion in the food. Highlights: · The Pho Broth: Seriously some of the best in the city. · The Banh Mi: Fresh bread, great fillings. · The Service: Fast, efficient, and incredibly kind. Pro Tip: Don't forget to grab your own utensils and sauces (the chili crisp is a must for the pho), and help yourself to the free self-serve hot tea. It's the little touches like that which make this place a winner. I am already planning my next trip back to try the Crispy Pork Belly. Highly recommend

Positives: fresh, well made, very flavorful proteins. Cons:…read morePrice I tried Cuon for the first time and enjoyed it. I went for a Vermicelli bowl where you get to pick 2 proteins. I selected Pork Belly (their specialty) and lemongrass chicken. The bowl itself is standard Vietnamese fare, nothing special, creative or exciting in that sense. That said, the ingredients tasted fresh and the proteins were very well seasoned and cooked. The pork belly skin had an awesome crunch and you can clearly taste the lemongrass in the chicken. The included spring roll had nice crunch but little flavor. Unfortunately, outside of Pho, Banh Mi and Noodle Bowls, there's sadly not much else to the menu. No Vietnamese salads, stir frys, etc. Either way, what they do make, they seem to make quite well. So, on to my main issue ie, that for a place thats only open for lunch, the prices are a bit too high. I noted about $16 for a Banh Mi sandwich, no sides. Pho was around $20 and my noodle bowl was about $20 as well. Weirdly, its about the same prices as eating lunch back home in Miami, a FAR more expensive city in general. In fact, I've often had more exciting Vietnamese in Manhattan for lower prices. So while its easy to recommend Cuon on quality, its not a top recommendation for lunch value in the PDX which is why Im docking 1 star.
