Good pho place in the Milliken neighborhood. It's not a fancy Vietnamese soup noodle place with some solid dishes. The Bun Rieu - Vietnamese Crab and Tomato Noodle Soup gives half a small crab with it. Pretty impressive. The Viet spring roll is also tasty. Recommended.

We were in the area and we're always down for pho, so we decided to dine here. I ordered the bun rieu, and my party also ordered pho too. I love that my soup noodle came with some soft shell crab. It was good, but I'm not sure if it was outstanding enough for a return visit, given we aren't super close to the area. The unique thing is they do have homemade sweets like cassava cakes and more for you to order. I'm glad I tried it, but I'm not sure it's something I would crave again. In terms of ambiance, it's not run-down but also not very elevated either, more middle of the ground. Service was efficient.

Pho Hue has an extensive menu with a variety of traditional dishes along with some speciality items and sandwiches as well. Their actual pho is slightly smaller than other restaurants, but prices trend lower as well so it's a good choice for smaller appetites. I easily polished off the large ox tail rice noodle soup ($19.95), as there wasn't a lot of noodles. But it did have plenty of fall-off-the-bone ox tail, which was a nice change from the typical flank or brisket and easier to eat than a hulking beef rib. The broth was satisfying - piping hot, salty enough, and relatively clear. Perhaps, not quite as nuanced in flavour as some places, it still hit the spot on a cold winter day. I enjoyed all the fresh herbs garnishing the bowl, they gave the dish a bright punch. Their noodles were 100% better than the complimentary vegetarian spring roll (normally $7.95 for two pieces) that was given in return for posting a Google review. I've had better spring rolls at buffets: at least they're not as oily and even buffet fillings are more substantial than the paltry cabbage and carrot that makes up Pho Hue's. It's a shame Pho Hue serves their spring rolls plain... a vinaigrette would really help cut through the oiliness. At least service was friendly and because it's not overly busy very attentive. During their grand opening period, they're also offering 10% off, so the meal was at least budget friendly. Just make sure to bring something other than a credit card as they are cash and debit only.

Another great authentic tasting pho place in Scarborough. The service is great and I love the pickled condiments that they provide at each table (garlic and chillies). I ordered the grilled pork vermicelli and was impressed by the portion size. Good thing I was hungry and was able to finish it :) My husband ordered the beef pho and he said it was very tasty as well. The pork was grilled very well, and I loved the crispness of the spring roll. Give this place a try if you are in the area.

I was pretty excited when I saw a new pho place, but I was also wary of the fact that there are so many good places in this area of Scarborough so it was going to be tough to stand out. I can summarize my visit in the statement that every aspect of my visit was passable, but nothing stood out. My pho and spring rolls were tasty, but the portions were a bit on the smaller side. A previous review said the broth is a bit on the sweeter side, and while I think I agree, I also didn't find it off-putting and instead I enjoyed it. The iced coffee was good, but this place did not give me the glass of ice and condensed milk with the dripping coffee filter on top of the glass. I can appreciate an already made product arriving at my table, but I much prefer the novelty and experience of watching the coffee drip and mixing myself. Regarding price/value, prices were average and maybe leaning on the expensive side, but given the rising cost of everything I thought it was still reasonable. The restaurant is pretty new, so all of the furniture is still clean. The wait staff was quick and to the point, and I appreciate that. Overall this is a 3-3.5/5 for me. I think it's reliable and if a friend wanted to go, I would gladly eat here. But it would also never be something I crave for.

The food is pretty good but also pretty standard. Their pho stock is a bit on the sweeter side but it's nice. The meat is a bit on the fattier side though. The coffee could use a bit more condensed milk but if people like it less sweet then it's good. The smoothies were also pretty good. The servers were polite but nothing out of the ordinary. The price was a little bit on the higher side for average pho. They only accept cash or debit. Overall a pretty average experience.

Came here to try out the pho and enjoyed my seafood soup. Service was quick also. Would come back to try the other menu items

First, the pros: their burgers are definitely a highlight. The patties are very substantial, with a genuine meaty flavor, not the mass-produced kind. The toppings are also well-chosen, not just piled on haphazardly. The plating is also a plus; it looks quite appetizing when it arrives at the table. The service is generally friendly, not overly enthusiastic but not unpleasant either. However, the cons are also quite obvious. The biggest problem is the inconsistent quality--some dishes are excellent, while others are rather ordinary, even making you feel like "something else tastes better." Plus, the prices aren't cheap, so if you happen to order an average dish, the value for money doesn't quite meet your expectations. Also, the restaurant lacks a truly memorable signature dish, making it less memorable after your meal.

Staff were so nice and happy - always smiling at us whenever they brought anything to our table. The dishes here were great with some adjustments to their dishes, I think it could be a solid 5/5! Here goes: Viet coffee 4/5 - Love me an iced Viet coffee. Was a tad sweet imo, so think they could adjust their condensed milk portions for this. Overall was a great caffeine hit drink though. Banh Cuon 5/5 - Oh my goodness - must get! Chewy steamed rice rolls with a pork filling dipped into the fish sauce. Came with grilled meats which were to die for. Bun Cha Ha Noi 5/5 - Meats were very well seasoned in the broth like sauce. It's a dipping type noodle and was absolutely divine. Bun Bo Hue 4/5 - This was good but not too spicy. Lacked a bit of umami flavour and felt like it could have used a bit more depth. Pho Bo 4/5 - Standard beef pho that was comforting and delicious. Overall a pretty solid spot for Vietnamese food. The 12 wings and beer would have been such a good deal except the drink was pretty watered down. We brought it up to the waitress so hopefully they change that in the future. The wings were crispy,m and delicious. The razor clams tasted good too, but it only comes with 4. The smoked beet and pig eat salad was one of our favourites! Unique, flavourful and good crunchy textured. The brisket and ribs were another favourite. Tender and flavourful. The bun bo hue was good too. Service could have been better. One of the waiters wasn't that friendly. We still had a good time though and enjoyed the food. I would come back to try their other dishes.

I don't know if it was strategic on their part, but they have effectively undercut some of their biggest viet competitors by $3-4 on a lot of their items which to me makes this resto rank VERY HIGH in terms of value because of their also huge portions. Admittedly, the taste of their pho broth still doesn't beat Ngon Corner in Richmond Hill for me but they have some items that I can't find on a lot of resto menus. For example, the signature grilled meat platter is amazing. It says serves 2-4 ppl on the menu and I think that's pretty accurate. My friend and I shared one and we're big eaters so we shared it between the two of us and actually felt full! They also PACK the platter with ingredients and don't skimp on anything which is awesome. You love to see it. Also, I came with the gf and the curry is quite layered in terms of flavour. But for me, the most underrated item is the tomato beef brisket noodle soup. Damn, that tomato broth SLAPPED. Better broth than a lot of chinese soup noodle places I've been to and the brisket was also very tender. Even though Ngon Corner is still packing the most flavour in their pho broth, I found myself somehow gravitating to this place with more and more visits because of the sheer value and pricing (I've also told a lot of ppl that they're quite affordable compared to some of the other Viet stalwarts in Markham/RHill). Hopefully this continues and they don't get greedy and decide to increase the prices!

Maybe they were understaffed because I thought the service was quite poor, hence the two stars. They were friendly but very slow and kept forgetting stuff that we asked for. Anytime we needed something, we had to ask multiple times in order to get it. Whether it be water, more sauce, getting the bill, etc. I won't be returning here with the plethora of other pho places in and around the area.
