Is been a while since we've been here and I had a major craving for their grilled chicken. Boy was I hungry... I got the grilled chicken rice dish, mmmm so good! I really liked the little salad that came with it. My family both ordered the seafood pho soup, a huge portion! I couldn't finish it if I tried. The good thing was I got to have some Thai mint which is delicious with the rice and chicken. The staff is friendly and the place is spacious. Definitely be back. read more

I have tried this restaurant several times because it is close to my home, but the food has been consistently disappointing. The egg noodles were overcooked and mushy, and the lemongrass chicken tasted off with a slimy texture. The only item I actually enjoyed was the spring rolls and those were very greasy and almost burn. Like they need to change the oil. Even after giving it multiple chances, the flavour never feels right and the meals leave me feeling off. The interior of the restaurant is also not very inviting. I'm done trying this place. Great first time outing to this little gem!! Happy to see papaya salad on the menu - fresh and delicious! Also tried the crispy rocket shrimp appy - delicious . Had the spicy pho - so good, great size, very flavourful broth. This will be my new go-to spot! read more

This new review is now reflective of the new management of pho hillton. The service is still great but there are some differences - mainly how the pho is, but overall it is still a good spot to go to. Their pork banh mi was very good. I find the portion slightly smaller than usual spots and their broth isn't quite as flavourful. The BBH is a specialty dish and only offered in the Large size. The prices are a bit higher than the previous owner but again that was then and this is now (and of course inflation doesn't help). The restaurant has a clean interior and ample seating - when we were there there was a family of 8 comfortably enjoying their meal. read more

One of the best things about this place is that they open earlier than other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The online ordering system is very convenient and easy to use, and the service is great. I ordered the Grilled Pork Chop with Spring Roll on Rice and a Chicken Roll. I really liked the grilled pork chop and thought the flavor and char were excellent. The chicken spring roll was good, but probably not something I would reorder as I found the seasoning they used on it to be a bit too strong for my liking. However, all the food was prepared quickly and was fresh and tasty. Plus, the people working there were very nice and friendly. The one caveat was that the portions are on the smaller side, especially compared to other places in the area. If you're quite hungry or have a bigger appetite, you might be satisfied by the amount of food. However, I'd definitely order from here again (especially the grilled pork chop) if I was craving some early morning Vietnamese food. read more

We stopped by here for lunch. We were seated right away. My date ordered the house special pho combo with spring roll and a can of Coke. I ordered the special sub and iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. Service was fast. We received all our items fairly quickly. My banh mi was tasty with a good amount of filling. I should have asked if spicy was an option, but I ended up using the jalapeño slices from the pho garnish to dress up my banh mi to my liking. The iced Vietnamese coffee was done right with the right amount of condensed milk. The pho was okay. It was missing beef tendon for a house special. The broth was a bit on the sweeter side and was not greasy. Otherwise, there was a decent amount of noodles and toppings. The spring roll was made well. My only complaint is that it was made with a wheat wrapper. I prefer the rice wrapper instead. The filling was a good mix of pork, noodles and veggies. Covid precautions were in place. Hand sanitizers were located at the front of the restaurant. There was social distancing between tables and staff wore face masks. Credit card payment accepted which is always a plus. read more

Tried this restaurant tonight and was surprised with a couple things. We were the only ones there for dinner and their food was actually tasty. This is definitely a family ran restauarant. Ordered a salad roll, chicken wings, beef pho, chicken vermicilli, and chicken banh mi. Salad roll was good as the prawn and meat stuffing they used was large. Always a bonus. The chicken wing was tasty but not worth $9 as the other appetizers were half the price. Beef pho was good. Average size (ordered a small) but loaded with a meat variety (#9). The banh mi was good and great price. I wish it was a bit spicier with fresh jalapeno peppers or seranno but its all good. The bun they used was worth it. The bun was light and airy. The authentic bun I was use to growing up. It wasn't heavy like a subway sandwich. The bun for a banh mi should be just the vessel that keeps the flavour in tact which they do. The flavor in the banh mi and the light crunch of the bun will keep me coming back as a regular. read more

What a terrific find. This place is super CLEAN! I peeked in the kitchen and found the same thing. Even the men's room was the same. The server spoke perfect English, was friendly, quick and professional. Prices are affordable. Parking is a bit tight, but not an issue. Great place for the family. read more

Small little Vietnamese restaurant tucked in a large shopping plaza in the Hillcrest area of Cloverdale. I wanted to try this place after reading positive Yelp reviews. The restaurant is very clean and bright. We were seated and served promptly. The food came quickly and was super fresh. I found the prices super reasonable as well. Dinner for 4 including an appetizer and a bubble tea was $51....hard to beat that in 2018! The only thing I'll say that could have been an improvement overall was that when we were finished our meal, the server didn't come and clear our plates or present us with the bill. They have a cash register so I guess the assumption is that you'll approach the register when you're finished eating - all good! I'll definitely be back! read more

Really great pho for the price, and their establishment is super CLEAN. They offer a pretty good deal for a 'pho combo' - large pho of your choice, a fried meat spring roll (delicious) and a can of pop for 13 bucks and change. Eat in or takeout, servings are generous and super fresh. I prefer the broth here over some other places as I find it less salty, which is what I prefer. Some may call that 'bland' but to each their own :) Salad rolls are fantastic - good size and loaded, and make a nice light meal for $6.50. Tried the wonton soup for the first time tonight but found the meat filling a bit on the sweet side for my liking. Think I'll stick with the pho if I'm craving carbs, or try a banh mi one of these days. Admittedly there ARE better pho places out there but if you're looking for something quick and authentic without spending a fortune, this is a great choice. read more

Had the pho here and it was ok. Not the best I've had but also not the worst I've had. I would come back if I was desperate for pho otherwise I would drive a little further because there are better pho restaurants around the Cloverdale area.
