I higher expectations for this place because I've been going to pho ha restaurants since I was a child. However, this one had iffy authentic tastes to their broth. The prices are eye watering high for what you get too. The ambiance and decor is probably why the prices are so high but I'm not here for the ambiance. We eat here weekly. The restaurant is really cute and clean and the food is consistent and yummy. I get the number 51: small vermicelli with grilled pork, grilled shrimp, and an egg roll. I ask for extra veggies and this meal is so tasty and refreshing! I feel full without feeling icky. Honorable mentions are the bahn mi, Lettie wrapped egg rolls, and pho!(duh). read more

The most expensive but the most worth it food I'll eat. Big portions and nice ambience. My son was looking up at the ceiling fans and even those look nice. My mom had their vegetarian noodle soup with the mushroom base. It was really tasty! I'll for sure order that next time. I had the vermicilli with chicken, $16, and paid extra for the egg roll, $3. The restaurant was quite slow because I came at 4 PM so it was a quick service. The server was also responsible to check every customers coming although she was the only one in charge. The restaurant has a good ambiance as the building is spacious and plenty of seats available. We ordered the eggroll that came freshly and meaty and the House Special Combo that comes with sliced round steak, flank, tendon, and beef meatball. The sliced meat came in a plenty amount, but the tendon and meatball only came in one small piece, I wish I could get more a little bit for that tendon and meatball. The soup was hot and very mouthwatering, but the flavor wasn't solid as I expected, and I need to fix with the sauce to improve. I frequent pho ha plus nearly every other week with my family, but service seems to have been steadily going down hill. Granted food is good, but not great enough to keep me from what happened today. 3/28/22 came in with my wife and daughter and placed our usual order.Half way through our meal I noticed a baby cockroach crawling around on our egg rolls. I removed one of the egg rolls with the cockroach still on it and placed it on an empty plate and flagged down a staff member to show. He didn't say a word to me, but took the plate real quick and brought back literally (1) egg roll not saying a word and just placing it on the table and waking away. They didn't even listen or replace the entire plate of egg rolls which I found disgusting and unprofessional. Walked in and placed a to-go order right before the dinner rush. Was told 15-minutes which turned into 45-minutes. Got to two apologies for the wait but by the second apology you're just like what the hell - especially when you see people that walked in after you ordered, wait for a table, get seated, ordered and then got their food first. On top of that rest of my order (pho) was ready but it was waiting for the fried rice. Pho was for my sick kid and the soup i swear is lukewarm...all because back kitchen couldn't manage tickets. Here's feedback, I ordered for 4 people, if other get service before my ticket then it doesn't matter how good the food is (and it is decent) if you're going to let your customer eat angry before they have your food. Great food and great ambiance. I've been here many times, at least 30. I've only ordered three things on the menu 1). Veggie Pho with mushroom broth 2). Chicken pho 3). Spring rolls with no pork only shrimp. The food has been excellent each and every time. I love that they have the option to substitute regular broth with mushroom broth. I can tell that the broth is made fresh and it has so much flavor. The ambience is pretty neat. Went to try this place for the first time since it seems like they have been in the area for sometime. We were the only party of 2 and the only ones in the lobby. Others parties came after us. Somehow they skip our name and seat other parties which I had to point out to the host. Host did not apologize whatsoever. They are very understaffed for such a large place. If you are ordering food here, prepare to wait. We had to get up from our seats to find someone to acquire the check in order to pay and leave. This place used to be Diamond Bar's historic landmark, Bob's Big Boy, but sadly, the landlord raised the rent which led to Bob's closure. Somewhat recently, Pho Ha Plus opened instead. It's an extension of Pho Ha in Rowland Heights. The modernized upgraded interior is rather nice and very spacious, but the restaurant's bathroom could be better maintained. I would say that the taste of the food and portion sizes are excellent compared to other Pho restaurants, but the prices here are higher, as well. My favorite dishes to order are the pho noodle soup varieties, vermicelli spring rolls, and fried egg rolls. Drinks like the limeades and thai tea are great complements. Work recently relocated from Ontario to Diamond Bar, and honestly I'm so happy with the significant increase in Asian food options. We've had a pretty authentic Vietnamese place nearby in Ontario so I wasn't sure how Pho Ha was going to compare up to the old place I used to go to, especially with it's more modern, less Vietnamese-style decoration, and diversity in workers in the restaurant. LOL. I wasn't feeling particularly hungry that day so I decided to order the charboiled pork spring rolls. I liked that they had option for you to order either 2, 3, or 4 rolls, suitable for people with various sizes of appetite. I've been spoiled by a really famous spring roll place in Garden Grove/Westminster area, so I had my expectations high. Although it wasn't quite nearly as good as the other place (since it was missing the crispy crunchy rolls inside), it was actually really good! The rice paper wrap was very chewy, and the pickled veggies were seasoned just right. The fish sauce for dipping was sour enough, just the way how I like it, and there was plentiful for the rolls I got. Not bad at all! read more

My go to Pho restaurant in Diamond Bar /Walnut area. They also have great vegetarian options to choose from ! I usually always order their #1 pho special but today I wanted to try their vegetarian soup noodle. It was a mushroom soup base w/ fried tofu, fresh mushrooms, broccoli, cabbage , carrots w/ rice noodle. To my surprise, it was super good ! I will definitely re order that again. Formerly Bob's Big Boy - this location is the largest Pho Ha location I've been to. Parking can be a pain during peak hours since they share the parking with the strip center. I've been here twice and both times ordered the #1 pho which has includes the whole kitchen of protein. The broth was excellent and the quality was outstanding - not to mention the interior is clean and under went and complete remodel. Service was friendly and efficient both visits The only con was I made the mistake of ordering the large bowl the first visit. The regular is more then sufficient and satisfying. Overall I preferred this location over other Pho Ha's and it's much closer and less hassle then driving to Westminster for a killer bowl of Pho. read more

I have driven by this place s few times and always wanted to give it a try. From the exterior it looks like Pho Ha's attempt make a super upscale Pho place. Parking is ample in the large lot, but there are not too many spots close the restaurant. The food here is a little subpar. We ordered a #1 and #37. For the #1, the soup base tasted MSG filled and bland. The #37 the meat was good, but the fish sauce was very lacking. Can't have a quality Vietnamese meal without good fish sauce. Pricing was on the expensive side as well. Now down to the service. Out right terrible. Staff is quick to order then ignore you pretty much rest of the way. Takes forever to the bill and no one comes to get it. Take the bill to the counter and you get acknowledged but they take forever to charge your card. Hard to be upscale if the service is bad. Overall not recommended, many other better options out there. read more

Pho: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 One of my ultimate guilty pleasures is the premium cotton jersey T-shirt series from H&M. The t shirts feel much softer and much more comfortable than the regular base T-shirts from h&m. Although I do pay a bit more, I believe this markup is well worth it, and the designation of premium is accurate. The reason why I mention this, is because I hold the same belief about pho ha plus. There are numerous pho ha's around the area, but pho ha plus is probably the best, despite being slightly more expensive. The difference in premium flavor from the broth is well worth the markup. The deep complex broth, as well as freshly cooked rice noodles ensure a great experience. Additionally, the meat they include in their large pho bowls is quite plentiful, and well worth the 10+ dollars you pay here as compared to 8+ at other pho places. Ordered two number 10. Biggest issue was the quality for price ratio. $17 for a bowl of pho is kinda insane. In my opinion, this place doesn't deserve as many decorations that they have. I expected amazing broth and food because of the amount of decorations but the broth was too bland and the noodles were mid. Any other smaller shop would be more authentic and taste better. It almost seems as a white-washed pho place. The extra meatballs option is also a scam. Makes it seem like it's four full meatballs in the photo but it's just one cut into fourths. Service was regular and nothing special, although the place seemed understaffed since we were waiting to get seated for a while even with plenty of tables available. Overall, go here if you want to try different houses of pho shops. Wouldn't recommend for this place for being your go-to pho shop, too expensive for the quality. read more

My volunteer organization meets here more often than not due to their central location in Diamond Bar, sizable private room in the back, decent Vietnamese food, and easy parking. After our September visit, we are not going to use Pho Ha Plus for our monthly gatherings anymore. Their food is decent and I've had their pho, bun (noodles), and egg roll dishes. No complaints there. The beef I (and my group) had came when the check arrived. We were surprised to find the sales tax amount so high. We asked the employees and it turns out that the gratuity they were charging our group was treated as a service charge and thus they were taxing us on it. Nowhere on their menu nor on their itemized receipt did they say the gratuity was a service charge. In the past, they've never charged us like this before. And at other places I've ate at, the service charge is applied across all bills, not just large groups. They refused to work with us on this and so we've now rotated to other restaurants for our meetings. read more

Service is horrible. They are severely understaffed. Only two employees serving the entire restaurant when I arrived. We waited at the front desk for over 7 minutes before someone came to attend to us. There were also a lot of other customers waiting to be greeted. We waited over 25 minutes before our waters came to our table and 40 minutes for our two pho's to come out. The pho was bland as the broth had no flavor. I added sriracha and hoisin sauce and it was still bland. Their pho noodle is $14 for a regular and it's barely any pho. Also I tried to order number 9 from the menu (see image) but the waitress said they no longer had it on the menu because of the NA. Why bother printing out a menu and typing NA to confuse customers when you can just remove the entire order before you print it out. Won't be coming back. read more

Came in on a Monday night around 5:40. They don't care to greet or acknowledge you. There was no waitlist when we got there, had to wait for about 10-15 minutes someone finally came up and sat us down. After getting our food we asked if we could get another plate of the toppings for the pho and the guy with the blonde hair rolled his eyes as he turned around to ask what we wanted. At this point the restaurant was busier, I get it you're overwhelmed, but no need to be salty about it. Also! As we were eating another couple that came in left after receiving the same treatment of not being greeted after a long period of time. Seems like they're understaffed and the staff there hates their job. Only one worker was attentive and very kind to us and several other tables (Allan). Pho was delicious though. We came on a Friday night at around 9 pm. The location wasn't full but there was about a 15 min wait. The food we ordered came quickly. I ordered the bone marrow and my friend ordered the pho. Honestly, the food was subpar and bland. There was not much marrow or meat on the bone marrow. Most of the ligament was gone and what was brought out was mostly fat. For the price, I was expecting a bigger piece of bone marrow. It was a huge let down. The pho was bland as well. OVER PRICED FOOD & POOR SERVICE Third time eating here so I decided to write a review. If you are hungry and coming to eat here, be prepared for a loooooong wait time to sit, get your order in and to have your food served to you. Its been over 20 minutes and we still haven't received our appetizers...well, we haven't even received the garnishings (mint, bean sprouts, lime, etc) they normally bring out prior to you receiving your bowl of pho. My child and I are here just observing everyone else receiving their food and how management seem to check on everyone but us. And just now witnessing customers who walked in after us receiving their food. Another measurement of time and how long we've been waiting is that they have the Laker vs Pistons game on, you know the game where LeBron gave Pistons player a bloody eye. And as I write this, I finally caught the attention of the manager and told him we've been waiting for 35 minutes now. We'll we've sat here with 2 glasses of water and nothing to munch on and saw the whole 3rd quarter of the game ... can you begin to feel how frustrated I am? And another table who walked in after us, just received their meal ... and this is where I decided its time to go. We ended up at another pho spot 5 minutes down Golden Springs and it only took them 10 minutes to serve us. Meal was also priced decently at this other pho spot.
