Been coming here over the past 15+ years (from east Scarborough/Pickering) and still our favourite Viet place in the GTA. Popped by after rain started at Wonderland...pack the patience getting here with the MAJOR road work on Finch Ave West, but still worth the drive! Figured out that when ordering Bun bo hue here, I need to ask for it to me mild...that's just for me, decent kick w/o numbing the lips and tongue.

I have fond memories of visiting another branch during my Uni years and they were one of the best pho places in the area. Now with more pho options nearby in this location, this is still not a bad choice. We had the classic pho bowl, I like that it's clearly laid out on the menu to select the type of meat. We went with chicken pho, spring rolls, special vermicelli and end it off with a bean dessert. All were solid choices, I don't think you'll be disappointed when you get a bowl here. There's a reason they have sustained so many franchise locations for so many years.

Craving Pho as always and was nearby this area, so decided to give this place a try. Came here on a Tuesday around 6pm and the place had a few people dining in. This place is fairly big and can sit a lot of customers. I'm sure they get really busy during rush hour. If they do, I'm sure they can manage given the space. So no worries if you're with a big group. For the service, it was pretty quick. Got seated right away and the menu is already on the table along with the paper where you write down your order. The food came pretty quick as well. Again, would like to mention it wasn't busy so service level may change when you visit at a busier time. Now for the food... This one is a bit different. I was expecting to try their Pho Dac Biet, but issue is, I didn't see it on the menu. You can choose your Meat combination. This is actually neat since it keeps the menu minimalistic. The "Pho Dac Biet" I ordered is generous with the topping. Broth is good and not too salty like other places. The Spring Roll is crispy but thin. For the seafood dish, it tasted like Wonton Soup. Overall, can't go wrong with this place to get your Vietnamese cuisine cravings satisfied.

XL bowl is really just a medium bowl with an XL price tag.

This place definitely went downhill after 2 years. The menu scale back to something like the Fresh I salad bar e.g. make your own pho + protein + sides. I can't find the pho special and the old man worker(possibly the owner) was no help either. The spring is so fking depressing that I was glad they forgot to upsize it to a large portion (see pictures for reference). XL bowl is really a Medium, small is kids meal... Not sure why they offer the sizes in between. Service was shit too. I asked for a booster seat and the woman watched me struggle while holding my baby in my arm, and she didn't offer to help me attach their dirty booster seat to their dining chair. Now explains why the place was mostly empty during a dinner rush. Will not return here.

Pretty amazing place if you are in the hunt for some delicious authentic pho. This place has been around for a long time and when you have their pho you know why they are still in the business. We had their "beef special" which comes with many different formats of beef. Ingredients were fresh and yummy. It was a clean establishment and very efficient service.

Pho Dau Bo Restaurant Do I Recommend? Only if you live around the area, and if you are looking to pay less for a meal. How is the service? the service is but below average, when we were there they mistakes with our order, wasn't big enough mistake that we bothered correcting them, but it did decrease the dining experience, because the ingredients we wanted were missing. Otherwise nothing special. How is the food? the food was not as great as I remembered, but maybe the covid-19 impacted their food quality. However, it was still decent enough to enjoy. The price is lower than typical Vietnamese restaurant you'd go to so that is a bonus.

This is one of the first location for this chain of pho restaurants near Finch and Weston, they've been around the neighborhood for many years now and probably one of the widely known pho restaurants in this area. There is plenty of parking in the strip plaza and a few other restaurants but never out of spots when I come. This place is usually fairly busy but the wait is usually fast because the order goes in and comes out like the flash. Everyone just comes and goes as fast as the food. I don't mind it at all because this is not a fancy restaurant that needs time to prep or fine dining atmosphere, it's almost like fast food but not. Piping hot noodle soup full of MSG what more can you ask for. I always just get the special #342 thinly sliced beef, tripe, beef balls a little bit of everything. Sometimes we like to order some fresh rolls like today, we got the shrimp fresh rolls and pork fresh rolls. The pork fresh rolls are made with some rice noodles, shredded pork skin, basil, bean sprouts all wrapped in a rice paper roll. Best time to have it is when it's colder weather, rainy days, best hang over cure for me actually and most of my friends.

Pho Dau Bo's Pho is Not the best Pho I ever ate... but it is A-OK. Pho Dau Bo's is like a chain Vietnamese Restaurant which have over 11 locations.. I been to the Scarborough's location which I found it is not too good compare to this North York's location. It was quite quiet during evening dinner time. My Special Pho ($6) arrived in recorded time... 15 counting breaths and my bowl of goodness arrived!! Nice smelling aroma of beef...soup is quite clear but has good flavour. The noodle is the dried type, but well cooked and tasted decent. I like how the rare beef came out RARE!!! Thank You! Service is fast and indifferent... good place to a fast pho fix!

    No meat.

Had an early dinner here and ordered Pho with rare beef and soft tendon ($9.50); Spring rolls at $8. For $9.50, there was not enough meat to warrant the charge. The noodles were appropriate in quantity; the broth was not as flavorful. They do use MSG here. The spring rolls did not taste fresh and did not have pork in them; taste was lacking. It is 2019 and this restaurant still does NOT declare / pay taxes to the government; they charge 13% tax without having an HST number and no official receipt printed out and given to the customers! The Pho here is not worth paying cash for. I don't recommend eating here at all since there are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants that accept credit cards with better broth and fresher spring rolls.... ...and issue receipts!

A little bit of communication would have been nice, just got the "it's coming" the two times I asked about where it was, no timeline or anything. The perfect amount of spice - makes you sweat a bit without killing you - you can still taste everything you're eating! I do prefer Toronto's Pho Anh Vu over the Vancouver location, somehow the Bun Bo Hue doesn't hit the same over here.

The place is quite small and they get busy so expect some crowding. The food was delicious and had exceptional flavour and quality. My partner and I had the Bun Bo Hue (5/5) and the Grilled Pork and Chicken on Broken Rice (5/5). Bun Bo Hue was filled with meat and blood pudding. It was not as spicy as I had hoped it would be but the flavour profile was irresistibly good. Grilled Pork and Chicken on Broken Rice had ample portions of meat. They were tender and juicy. As I mentioned, the place gets busy and packed. We were a group of 8 and I tried to book a reservation a couple of days prior to our visit. To our disappointment, they did not accept reservations at all. The wait time was quite long since we were such a big group. This was quite hectic and stressful for the servers. Hopefully this can be considered in the future for big groups (8 people and above) to make the service smoother.

We walked in and were greeted by a friendly few staff members who showed us to our table. The decor inside was modern, it was clean and the ambiance was great. As soon as we sat down we were brought hot drinks of our choice to warm us up. It took a while before we settled on our meal choices after much discussion. We have some vegetarians and some non-vegetarians in our family so it was nice to see that vegetarians could be accommodated here. All of the meals turned out to be very tasty from our appetizers to our mains. Spring Rolls** were crispy, tasty and served with a sweet-spicy sauce. These were the outstanding showstoppers of the entire meal or at least a few of us agreed that they were our favourite choice. Vegetarian Cold Rolls (small) were crunchy, refreshing and served with a peanut sauce with roasted peanuts on top. I was told that my homemade version of vegetarian cold rolls was even better than the restaurant version since I include more tofu but this restaurant version came in a close second place. Stir-fried Vegetables with Tofu and Steamed Rice was very super flavourful, as was the veggie soup broth. The main vegetarian dish had a bit of kick to it, lots of black pepper, and a tangy spicy taste which was almost too spicy for one family member's simple palate. Nothing a bowl full of rice couldn't fix. What would make it a 5 star rating would be if they had included a bit more tofu, otherwise it was a very good dish. Grilled Pork Chop with Rice was wonderfully delicious. The veggies made the dish eye catching. The flavour packed broth was delightful. It was served with a drizzle of oil of green onions which when combined with freshly steamed rice make the perfect trifecta. Stir-Fry Rice Noodles with Seafood (which had squid, fish balls, shrimp and possibly scallops) was very well received by one hungry man. He didn't mind that the vegetarians had more veggies on their plates than him. Stir-Fry Rice Noodles* with Vegetables had a great colourful presentation and tasted very good, according to another. Once again their only other comment about the dish was that they wished there was more tofu in it. What would make it a 5 star rating would be if they had included a bit more tofu, otherwise it was also a good dish. The staff were more than accommodating to the requests of grandparents who needed to relocate tables to stay warm during this cold winter season. My family very much appreciated our visit to this restaurant. Fantastic hospitality. Great service and friendly personable staff.

However, we did notice a nearby table did exactly that and I guess the staff didn't mind at all. If you scroll and look at my recent photos of the rib pho dish, they've chopped the rib up into smaller pieces so it's easier to eat and they also provide scissors so you can cut through the meat and take out. We couldn't finish it so we packed it home and air fry the ribs for more texture. We especially like the clear vermicelli from their egg and clear noodle section. The broth is more elevated from the standard pho, with more herbs. Definitely recommend #216 we ordered with chicken clear noodles (scroll right to see the most recent video).
