My dad's favorite place! He always gasses up this place, so i went ahead and tried it. It's soooo yummy! What a nice gatekeep, but the pho is amazing! Can't wait to try other dishes :)

This is my second time here, and I love this place! We ordered the egg rolls once again, and, once again they were outstanding. We both ordered the Pho soup. One was the spicy beef noodle soup, #32 in the second one was the house special, #34. They were both outstanding. We had to take leftovers home with us because there was so much. Both dishes were absolutely yummy! And, once again, I will be back.

Beef Stew Soup was excellent! Tasty and flavorful broth, large chunks of tender, fatty beef. Egg noodles were also great. Large portions of food with the perfect balance of soup, noodles and meat. (I didn't run out until I was finished) Guys were very friendly.

Pho Cali is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking and it's fairly close to the Galleria mall. The place is quaint with furniture that's a bit dated. The staff is friendly and we were seated immediately. I got the house special pho with has everything (flank steak, tendon, meatball). Overall it was okay. The portion size was good but the meat was low quality and chewy. The broth is okay. I've had better pho elsewhere.

We came back with friends and I can now say this is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in NorCal. In addition to the perfect chicken pho and delicious mama marinated grilled pork (nem nuong) spring rolls, their grilled pork banh mi sandwich? Divine. Top tier. Our friends also loved the stir fried egg noodles with beef (hu tieu xao bo). Unfortunately their BBH was a let down because it was way too sweet- looks like both their beef pho and BBH tend to lean that direction. Nonetheless, I am impressed that a restaurant can completely nail a variety of dishes and am excited to come back and try more items from their menu. 5 stars!

What a nice find in Rocklin! Pho Cali is a short drive from the Roseville Galleria, and is a nice place to sit down for a good meal, especially as the offerings at the Galleria aren't the best. I've had this place bookmarked for a while, but didn't get to check it out until recently. The smell of boiling broth hit my nose as soon as I got out of the car. That's always a good sign. It was a hot day, but I still wanted pho. It wasn't very busy when we arrived, probably due to the heat, so we were seated immediately. The dining area isn't the largest, but it was clean and spacious. I went for the pho dac biet, while my husband went for the dry wonton and BBQ pork hu tieu. I also ordered a Thai tea. Our food arrived pretty quickly, and my bowl of pho was huge. It was packed with meat, broth, and a good helping of noodles. My husband's bowl was also filled well, and came with a good-sized side of wonton soup. I had a quick sip of my broth before adding any fixings, and it was delicious and fatty. It seemed that the kitchen staff didn't skim off the extra fat during cooking the broth, but I didn't mind. It was so beefy and flavorful. (Normally that would be reserved on the side as nuoc beo.) As far as fixings, the herbs were fresh. There was no chili oil at our table, but this was one of the rare times I didn't care about adding it, since the broth was so good. The noodles were perfectly cooked, however, the meat was tough for my taste. There was a ton of meat, so I'm definitely not complaining about the portion size, but the pieces of meat were neither sliced thinly or as tender as I would have liked. My husband, on the other hand, really liked his BBQ pork and wontons, and also said his noodles were really bouncy and to his liking. The hu tieu sauce was also flavorful. The Thai tea was refreshing and the perfect size. It wasn't watered down or too sweet, as I'm not a fan of sweet Thai tea. The balance between tea and cream was good. It also had the perfect amount of ice. I do not like when I pay $6 for a drink and the majority of my drink is ice. This had the perfect amount of ice. It is rare that I ever have leftovers when I get pho, but both my husband and I ate our fill and still had plenty of food left to take home. I ate all my noodles and brought home the broth and meat. Pho Cali is definitely worth it for the price, and since all their dishes are one-size, you can expect to take leftovers home. I'm hoping that next time, the meat is not as tough, but we shall see. I'll gladly return to Pho Cali again if I'm in the Rocklin/Roseville area for my pho fix, and would recommend this place for those looking for some delicious broth.

My go to Pho spot. I lived in the San Jose for over 10 years and this spot has beat anything I have had there. If you are a beginner with Pho, I highly recommend the #43. Genuine authentic food and kind front of house staff.

The pho broth is slightly on the clear/sweet side, but absolutely delicious and perfect for the day when we wanted hot soup. The chicken wings weren't super crispy, but they were made for dipping in the sauce and the sweet chili sauce it comes with is positively flavorful and fantastic.

Pho cravings satisfied! Nothing special about this spot but sometimes that's a good thing. Just good'ol, traditional soupy bowls of delicious pho servings. Ambiance is welcoming but nothing classy with limited seating and a generous parking lot. Feels a bit old and outdated inside, but it's clean and the food tastes great along with yummy smoothies for pairing. Service was friendly and accommodating for my family of 6 but seating is primarily designed for parties of 4 and below. Pho dishes were delicious and classic. The sautee curry chicken was good but was sad to hear that it was the only curry fish they had. Thus the only reason for the 1 star deduction - other than that, smoothies and thai iced tea were fantastic! Had some banh mi w/beef to go (TBD but I'm sure it's going to satisfy our cravings 100%). Great local spot, recommended for a quick way to satisfy your pho cravings, and no stress with parking!

I love this place. I'm here almost every week--sometimes by myself, sometimes with my whole family. At this point, the staff probably recognizes me already, lol. This place is a real comfort spot for me. I'm always satisfied and happy every time I eat here. The food is consistently good, and the prices are affordable. Definitely deserving of 5 stars

Brightly lighted room. Clean enough. Fast & friendly servers. I ate the crispy fried calamari and a giant bowl of stir fry rice noodle with seafood. My dining companion ate the beef stew with egg noodle. Crispy calamari is just passable. Probably just pre-packaged, frozen. Yes, crunchy. Rubbery calamari rings inside. Served super-duper hot. Not much flavor. A small bowl of sweet syrupy not spicy chili sauce served on the side. For $10 there's about 9 calamari rings on the plate. My seafood chow fun noodle dish was quite healthy. Chock full of diced vegetables. Seasoned mildly. I used a small bowl of Sriracha on the side to occasionally dip some morsels. There's at least 3 pounds of food on the big dish. I can eat like a hungry hound all day. I surrendered after about eating 1/2 of the meal. Brought the rest home for tomorrow's lunch. Tasted my friend's beef stew. Broth is sweet, not spicy. Beef hunks are tender. All done this inexpensive meal for both of us, $41 before tip, was quite satisfactory. I plan to return for a bowl of pho. Note: There is no alcohol served. No beer, no wine.

Automatically taking in the ambience of the restaurant, it felt really clean and has a nice dim light that makes the dining experience feel private. The service was very attentive and they'll do a temperature check on how the food is with you after you receive your meal and they were all genuinely very friendly. 10/10 for the service, no doubt. For food, we ordered their "Fukumi Ramen" and their chicken karaage . Chicken karaage came out first and was freshly fried. The coating was amazingly light and the chicken itself was flavorful. It comes served with a lemon wedge and tiny pieces of salad and the dressing in the salad was delicious! For the Fukumi Ramen bowl itself, the initial taste of the broth was flavorful and the black garlic oil was a nice touch. You'll immediately notice how thickkkk their chasu slices are and I think the free order of extra noodles is a nice plus. However, the thin noodles served with the Fukumi Ramen bowl seemed like a lighter color than I normally see at ramen places and the noodles were overcooked so I feel like it obscured the overall taste of the ramen itself since ramen noodles make up so much of the bite. Even though the extra noodles were free and a nice complimentary addition, I feel like I could tell why because the ramen noodles lacked the quality the rest of the bowl had. The tamago egg was decent and I was surprised because it looked like a plain white boiled egg rather than the traditional brown seasoned egg you get in ramen. Overall, I think Fukumi Ramen can do the job of satisfying a cold rainy day, and I think with their wide variety of ramen options, you'll definitely have to try and find one that might hit for you! Portions are huge here too so it might take a couple visits to try more options!

Since it was our first time, we ordered a bunch of items to try. The pan-fried pork buns: were a highlight! Crispy on the bottom, soft on top, and filled with a clean, juicy soup that didn't have that heavy ginger taste. The soup dumplings xlbs had perfect, delicate skins and were incredibly juicy; the classic pork and the crab & pork were my favorites. The pork xlb had tender meat and was juicy, flavor was clean, the crab one is definitely for the seafood lovers, it has a nice SF umaminess too like a crab roe fishball lol. Other standouts included the spicy wontons in a great chili oil sauce and the truffle Angus beef fried rice, which featured surprisingly tender beef and a subtle, well-balanced truffle flavor. For dessert, the chocolate xlb, was excellent and tasted just like a strawberry Nutella crepe, though the matcha version was a bit too concentrated and bitter for my liking. There's a nice parking lot and, the collection of restaurants/stores in this little plaza give a nice vibe. There isn't a ton of seating inside; you kinda get an idea from some of the various Yelp pics.... and, there are a couple tables outside as well. The Food: - Pork Xiao Long Bao: this was fine...... I guess it's about as good as my memory of Journey to the Dumpling. Honestly, I'd say it's in the ballpark of goodness as the frozen Mila XLBs you can buy at Costco. again, Din Tai Fung has kinda ruined XLBs everywhere else I've gone since no one else comes close. - Spicy Pork Xiao Long Bao: this had an odd tanginess to it.. like there was a bit of kimchi in it or something... I didn't care for it (and, I do happen to love kimchi).. and, it wasn't very spicy either. pass on this one. - Spicy Wonton: this was probably the best thing I had here. it was fine. not particularly spicy. and a bit salty. but, it was fine. - Pan-Fried Juicy Pork Buns: I think the filling in this is the same as the XLBs... you just get it in a pan-fried bun instead. I think I actually preferred the regular XLBs bc the larger size of this thing made it kinda hard to eat. - Garlic Noodle: I don't know what I was expecting here... and, I know I shouldn't expect Crustacean (just like I shouldn't expect Din Tai Fung) bc this certainly wasn't anything like Crustacean. These were okay.... the flavor of oyster sauce dominated my palate in an unpleasant way. - Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings: these were okay. they ask if you want them spicy or mild. I got mine mild, but I probably should've gotten it spicy. The outside was nice and crispy, but the wing itself was kinda bland despite being covered with chopped garlic. Other things: - The food comes out fairly quickly & scalding hot..... so, don't burn your mouth! - I'd never really thought about it before, but every place that serves XLBs should also have spoons with flat bottoms; this place does not have flat-bottomed spoons. I like to rest my XLBs in my soup spoon while it cools, and since these spoons had rounded bottoms, my dumpling was always kinda lying sideways. - There's only one single-room unisex bathroom in the back, which is probably fine for the size of the restaurant; though, I did get stuck waiting behind a couple people when I needed to use it. so, I guess if you're not an XLB snob like myself & find Journey to the Dumpling and frozen Mila XLBs to be fantastic, then you may like this place quite a bit.... but I was rather disappointed....

I ended up ordering 2 of the same bowls because it was a limited time only kind of bowl which was a Chili Garlic Ramen noodle bowl. One bowl I ordered Grilled Chicken for the protein and the other bowl I ordered Seasoned Tofu. Side note, the 2 for $12 deal didn't include the proteins since that costs extra so the deal was only if I didn't add any protein to my bowls. Since I ordered from the app, I was able to go in and grab my order then drive back home. My food was still hot by the time I got home even after driving in the cold and pouring rain. When I got home and started eating my bowl which had the seasoned tofu protein, I noticed that they didn't put much of it compared to my husband's bowl that had the grilled chicken protein. On top of that, the noodles were extra oily and greasy and too salty for my liking. I had to drink something sweet after to get rid of all the saltiness. I understand that noodle bowls are typically oily and salty but I just felt like it was too much for my tasting with this bowl. I mostly wished I had more of the seasoned tofu protein though. I guess if I were to order here again next time, I would probably get a bowl with the grilled chicken protein rather than the seasoned tofu protein since it seemed like they add more protein if you opt for the grilled chicken.
