Super nice and attentive staff. Good selection of Vietnamese dishes. Fresh food especially the grilled shrimp which were grilled perfectly. If I had any complaint it would be that the prices seemed a bit high with lunch with a tip and no app came in just under 20.0 read more

Good pho here. And my wife liked their vermicelli. The employees were very kind and made sure everything was made to order, including the exclusions of certain ingredients we requested. The price is just right for the Vietnamese fix that we are all familiar with! read more

The pho was good. Very filling. I had a tooth extraction and I couldn't eat solids so this was real tasty. The price was a bit much, but it did last a long time. I didn't eat it all in a day. I'll go back and see if their is a smaller portion bowl that I can purchase. read more

"Vietnamese Food & Fro-yo (frozen yogurt)... together in one beautiful spot". Don't just go here for the self-serve yogurt...although it is an added extra!! Go here for the food!! It is truly wonderful!! The only thing I wish they would add to their menu are the Vietnamese sandwiches/po-boys and bubble tea!! The customer service is suberb and the food delicious and tasty!! Thank you for being such a nice, clean establishment, too!! More restaurants need to get tips from your cleanliness!! It a beautifully inviting restaurant, with bright colors, LSU colors, self-serve fro-yo and a delightful staff, this place is a gem! Bring your group of family and/or friends because the place is enormous! I have had many of their dishes here including appetizer favorites: spring rolls, fried egg rolls and potstickers and they have been perfectly cooked. I do not like overly greasy foods, so this place is just right up my alley, when I am craving Vietnamese cuisine. Looking for low-carb and gluten-free options? Many of the dishes here fall in that category! I particularly like the beef salad with a soy-infused dressing. If you are a "pho"-natic, like me, this places will be right up your alley! They have some excellent pho bowls that are larger than life! * pho * spring rolls * egg rolls * Vietnamese food * gluten-free * low-carb * rice dishes * noodle dishes * frozen yogurt * read more

The girls that work here make the experience. I'm surprised every time I go because they make everyone feel like a regular. They remember everyone that comes in and what they have every time. The Spicy Seafood pho is really good and I do not have to add anything to it to make it spicier. It is my go-to dish everytime. One day I will change it up and try something else because everything looks so good on the menu. This is also the only place in Baton Rouge that you can go and have a bowl of pho and a bowl of frozen yogurt. It is definitely worth giving it a try to compare to the other places in Baton Rouge. I believe you will not be disappointed. read more

You don't have to drive to North Sherwood for excellent Vietnamese Pho. I hadn't been to Pho Cafe in years (actually then it was called Dream Berrie) and back then I found it just ordinary. Boy am I glad I was lured back with a coupon on Yelp. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon to place an order to-go. They weren't busy, so I was helped right away and had to wait less than 10 minutes for the piping hot food. The workers were friendly and the place was clean. But best of all my food was really very good. The pho was just as good as you can get other places a few miles north of here. I look forward to going back again for more. Plus they have frozen yogurt machines on site, so that's a bonus. read more

Large portions but heavy on the price. My family of 4 absolutely loved that we could get Yogurtland quality make your own yogurt in the same place as we got delicious Vietnamese cuisine! Nice, clean atmosphere with good service too. Only reason I gave it a 4 was because I expected lunch prices, but they only have the one menu so it seemed a little high. Would definitely return though! read more

A lifetime and a half ago I had a favorite Vietnamese restaurant I'd go to in Guelph, Ontario (Pho Saigon), and up until this point I had not found another restaurant that could compare. Pho Cafe is the first restaurant that has managed this enormous task, and it has become a regular spot for us. They have a decent menu and I'm ashamed to say that I haven't branched out more. My usual go-to items are the tofu pho, the meatball pho and the beef pho. All are superb, and I find myself getting every last drop of the tasty broth out of the bowl. Service is always quick and friendly, and it's been an easy place for us to go back to. read more

"Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful. And since we've no place to go Let it snow! Let it snow, Let it snow!" What about Pho to warm our cold bodies! I haven't been back to DreamBerries in 3 years, so I thought it won't hurt to take my family to try it...again. I order their Pork Dumpling--which is served either steam or fried; but they were so sweet to accommodate me and pan fried it for me! Yay! I also wanted to order the traditional Summer Rolls (with shrimp and pork), but instead I got the shrimp and grilled pork summer rolls. The grilled pork is suppose to have a slight charcoal aroma to it, but this particular time...the "smokey" flavor was overbearing. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, which was a disappointment to me. The soup was spicy per se, but was bland. The one good thing, was the plentiful of meat in the bowl. My brother got the Pho Dac Biet (translated: the Special/Everything Pho bowl), but it didn't have the tendon or beef tripe!!!! I had a taste of the broth, and it was missing something. Maybe more a little more anise star/five spice? Cinnamon? So sad. :( read more

I really love Vietnamese food but not so much here it lacked the fresh herbs that the other places I've tried it has. The other places have fresh basil, fresh mint and fresh cilantro and usually fresh Serrano pepper slices in it. Here it was noodles, iceberg lettuce, cucumber, carrots and meat. I mean it was ok here but it didn't excite my tastebuds it didn't even tickle them a little. The staff was very friendly and made sure your drinks were filled. They also sell frozen yogurt but didn't try it. I did notice some of the machines were out of order. I went to use the restroom but once I opened the door the smell completely changed my mind. Definitely needed some deep cleaning and some air freshener. May have went at a bad time but I might give them a few months and give them another try! read more

Best Pho ever! The flank steak pho was perfect. The noodles were tender and the broth was flavorful! Bean sprouts were crunchy, jalapeños were spicy, and herbs were perfect! Dumpling and spring rolls were delish. Can't wait to go back! Little surprised to see froyo with pho- strange combo. Restrooms were impeccable! read more

Frozen yogurt is a big deal in our house. My oldest daughter is crazy about it, and my youngest daughter is shaping up to be the same. That being said we pride ourselves on finding the best places for enjoying frozen yogurt and all the goodies that go with it. So, enter Dream Berrie Cafe, a lovely place for that frozen treat. I really like going here. It is never overcrowded, but there are always people there...diners and people getting carry-out. It has always been a fun place for us to go. Since we started getting yogurt there, our daughters and my wife have made it clear that they also enjoy the fine Vietnamese cooking as well, so another plus. This last time we patronized Dream Berrie was slightly different. Normally, the service is great, friendly, and fast. However, this time our server did not meet our expectations. This gentleman seemed very distracted and did not seem to have much of a since of urgency about his job. We asked for sugar and lemons for our water, which we had to ask for a couple of times. Eventually I went to get sugar myself. He did not seem knowledgeable of some of the menu items when we questioned him, almost as if he didn't care about our questions. Even though the service left a sour taste, luckily the food has never. We will return. read more

Pardon my terrible pun but this place is PHO-real. Small, casual, and colorful but their pho is legit. You can't go wrong with the Bun bo hue, a spicy pho complete with Vietnamese ham (similar texture of Bologna but much tastier), pork, and beef. When the customary pho topping of bean sprouts, jalapeños, cilantro, and Thai basil are added with a splash of chili paste, you are greeted with a spicy, sinus clearing treat guaranteed to make you feel better immediately. And when you start off with a fresh pork spring roll, you have the makings of a satisfying and comforting meal. It doesn't hurt that the staff is awesome and quick with a glass of water or an extra plate of jalapeños, whatever tickles your fancy. Introduce some Dream Berrie into your world, ASAP. read more

My wife and I usually end up getting combination pho or the combination vermicelli at a Vietnamese restaurant. My wife had read somewhere about Bun Bo Hue and we also saw it on an TV show and thought it looked awesome. She did some research and found Dream Berrie Cafe was being recommended as one of the best Bun Bo Hue in Baton Rouge. My wife didn't care too much for the blood cake but I really enjoyed it. We both thought the broth was very good and tasteful to the last drop. The waitress was really great and very attentive. We definitely recommend this place read more

Pho Cafe - Spicy pho soup - Vietnamese Near Me - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

My server was super polite and friendly. Unfortunately, the pho was inedible. It was as salty as sea water with very little flavor otherwise. There were about two tablespoons of shredded chicken and two cups of noodles. The vietnamese eggrolls were very good, but that was all I ate. The waiter was kind enough to take the soup off the bill, but I still wouldn't recommend this place. Even if the broth had tasted good, $10 is too much money for a bowl of broth with noodles. I can make a large pot of this stuff at home for $10 as it is. read more

Pho Cafe - Shrimp Spring Rolls - Vietnamese Near Me - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

We finally gave this place a try and it was....A-OK. Nothing to write home about, I'm quite sure the menu was toned down a little bit to accommodate the western palates. Bun Bo Hue (Today's Special) - The most important component in any Vietnamese soup is the broth. Whether it's Pho, Bun Bo Hue, Bun Rieu, or Hu Tieu, each soup has their own unique and distinctive flavor and taste. And for Bun Bo Hue that distinctive flavor has to be spicy w/ a hint of shrimp paste, and an aroma only lemongrass can bring that soup to life. There was some flavor but not a whole lot dancing in my mouth....."Elvis has left the building y'all!" They did however, had "blood cake" in their Bun Bo Hue. Well, I'll be damned......how ya like that Andrew Zimmern? Let me see now, the blood cake was earthy, minerally, and irony......Who in the hell talks like that?! - (3.5 Stars) Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong - (4 Stars) ...the eggroll was spot on, and the grilled pork and shrimp were well seasoned. Shrimp Fried Rice - Ooooh do I have a bone to pick w/ you!!! WTF were you thinking when y'all came up w/ this concoction?! Whatever happened to PRESENTATION and TASTE? Better spike that chef's coffee w/ some Red Bull or 5-Hour Energy drink 'cause that crap tasted worse than PF Chang's TV dinner.... That stuff is UNFIT for human consumption! PLEASE take that off the menu before it becomes a Weapon of Mass Destruction! - (Negative 1 Star) read more

I definitely thought this place was great. The soup was tasty and so were the spring rolls. I really could have guzzled the soup broth. I wish that more places would offer a choice of noodles, and this restaurant is no exception. I'm more of an egg noodle kind of guy. The service was attentive and friendly. I finished off my dinner with a cup of frozen yogurt. This was quite satisfying as well. It's easy to go overboard on the toppings. They allow samples, so that is an added bonus. read more

Girlfriend and I stopped in Baton Rouge and swung by this pho restaurant. First off, great quality food. Service was quick, store was clean, atmosphere was quiet/chill, and food arrived quickly and tasted good. Solid store. We both ordered the pho noodles and were very satisfied with our orders. We even used the 15% discount we got from checking in on Yelp. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the food was a tad bit pricey (9$ for a bowl of pho noodles that would be considered a "small" in most pho restaurants), but I mean it's Baton Rouge Louisiana. Overall very happy. We didn't try out the froyo place, but it looked alright. read more
