Grilled beef LAAB (larb) salad
Ce Ce T.

2 stars for fastness and good service. papaya salad (extra hot) - Wasn't what I was used to at all. No flavor, maybe they only used salt and lime. (Don't know) but that's what it seemed like to me. Not a normal papaya salad. I'll passed. Larb beef - Ok. The beef was tender. Had a little bit of flavor. But I definitely had to add more salt on it. And took the lime from my papaya salad to make it more tangy. I'll passed.

Nice sized portion. Location was a little smoky from friers. Tasty pho. Worth visiting.

Papaya salad, Shredded beef laab with missing steamed rice and $6 worth of sticky rice in a sandwich baggy!!!!
Madelyne M.

I have been catering for over 8 years and I would never deliver a customer a sandwhich baggy full of rice, that cost $6!!!!! No one should be okay being served like this!!! I asked if this was all of my order(I was polite) was looked at as if, I lost my mind. Come to find out, items were missing from My order. I was so excited to find a Thai & Loas restaurant. Was I expecting back home quality??? NO!!! But this right here is ridiculous!! Perhaps this is what they consider catering to the American palate. (Which we have been told before by Asian restaurant owners here) I am very familiar with authentic Thai and Loas food. This isn't it!!!

My friend took me here during my work trip to Shreveport in early August as he's been here a few times. He recommended the oxtail pho which I planned to order but sadly they were sold out. No worries, the beef rib pho was our contingency which they did have. The pho comes in a huge bowl with three beef ribs on top. The meat perfectly accompanies the broth, noodles, and fixings inside. Squirt on some of the hoisin sauce and add some chili oil flakes in for a great balance of earthiness, spiciness, sweetness, and fattiness. Absolutely scrumptious! We both ordered it and we couldn't finish the bowls cause of how large they were. We also ordered their chicken wings (spicy) which were quite large with 6 to an order. Great crispiness and spiciness. Also, their drinks such as the passionfruit tea and vietnamese coffee are excellent and will compliment whatever pho or entree you decide to order. I look forward to coming back here again. I don't understand the negative reviews others have posted cause my experience here was a pleasant one.

Shrimp spring eggrolls - those 2 steady complaining that the rice paper looked like c*ndoms and refused to eat it. Enough about them. I arrived at 12:30. Ordered the potstickers and seafood pho. The potstickers were hot and fresh. Crispy and delicious. Delivered 8 minutes after I sat down. The seafood pho came out 3 minutes later. The broth was good. But the seafood was hit and miss. The shrimp and scallops were both delicious but the squid was chewy and the bites cut too large. The crab was off too. I finished my wontons but didn't carry my soup with me.

This place is one of those gems - at least for flavor. I love Pho. Not just a little. A LOT. The selections were plentiful, they just didn't have the things I really like listed on the menu like tripe and tendons. So, I opted for the Bun Bo Hue (#9), shrimp and pork spring rolls, and a Thai tea. I guess I didn't read enough about the Tea as it came out as a Bubble Tea - I'm just not into tapioca pearls but it was good tea. The spring rolls had flavorful shrimp and pork, not just bland fillers. It was severed with a ginger and peanut sauce. The soup was VERY good. Most Vietnamese places tone down the sour in this type of soup; but not here and it made everything work even better. I wasn't expecting so much meat and noodles. It was huge and I couldn't finish it all. The spice level was just right for me. The place is a little run down. But there must be a good weekend entertainment run as there is a Karaoke setup in the corner. The service was great and I was welcomed to return. Which is nice, you don't get that a lot anymore. It's a recommend for me. If I pass this way again, I will make an effort to return.

So is the lemongrass chicken (with vegetables, all of which are crispy). The chicken skewers were better the first time than the second time, and the beef skewers were good the first and last time, which was only one time. I don't know the names of the staff, but the regular lady (thinner Asian lady) was excellent. The backup (a little heavier Asian lady) was not good. I had no water for 15 minutes and she was really bad at keeping up with what was going on. Just telling it like it is. There was a big debate about the short ribs. A few of my friends (one being a local) thought the short ribs were the best dish in the house. Three others told me not to get the short ribs. And then another person told me the short ribs were amazing. I haven't had the short ribs yet, but I wanted you to know about the short rib debate. Despite mixed service, a lackluster second serving of chicken skewers, and a short rib debate, the lemongrass chicken, quality service from the main server, and skewers (aside from the last time) were all excellent. That's why it's still 5 Stars. Recommended.

Baaabbbyyyy...when I tell you those drinks are NOT to play with!…read more We stopped at Luk Fu while at Live! Casino, and apparently the bartender had a different financial plan for us. Forget spending the rest of our money trying to win on the slots they were trying to get it one cocktail at a time! And you know what? I wasn't mad at it. The food was good, our waiter was really nice, and the atmosphere was a whole vibe. I loved the red lanterns overhead and the overall look of the restaurant. It fit perfectly with a night out at the casino. But those DRINKS?! The show-stoppers. They were good, they were strong, and the bartender clearly did not come to work that day to play games with anybody. lol Good food. Good service. Great atmosphere. And cocktails that may have you reconsidering whether you really need to go back to those slots after dinner. We will absolutely be back

Ambiance was a mixed bag, the place looked nice enough but you still got faint whiff's of smoke from the casino floor. But the main issue surprisingly was the food. For an appetizer, we ordered pan fried potstickers (that were lacking flavor) with dipping sauce (that was in small container) that we poured over the potstickers but most just ended up in the plate not the food. For our mains, my wife ordered the Beef and Broccoli, assuming this would be an elevated version... it tasted and looked like mall food court beef and broccoli for $23. I ordered "Jet's shrimp pad Thai" for $22. It seems Jet's style is near sauceless noodles with peanuts tofu and unseasoned/unseared shrimp. So I asked the waitress for some hoisin sauce so it could at least taste of something. The only redeeming item was my wife's lychee martini, which was very boozy but also super smooth and flavorful. We both agreed we could come back for a drink, but if we want Asian food, there are tons of options that give better quality and better pricing.
