This is a review long needed. This is my favorite spot to get Chinese food when I come into town, and I've never given them credit for that. I used to eat here when they first started as a tiny little "togo" type kitchen with a few tables for lunch goers. I love authentic spicy Hunan Chinese food, but I also like mild American style Chinese takeout. And this meets my needs for the American style, good beef and broccoli, sweet and sour American style Chinese food. Speaking of Beef and broccoli... that is my favorite things to order at a Chinese spot. So I attached a picture of their yummy version. I also like a good egg roll and white rice, which I also had here. We came in for lunch... now they have expended their Restaurant to have a real dinning area and even a sushi bar. We explained to the waitress we only had 45 minutes to eat. She said no problem. And it was no problem. This waitress was on her game! we ordered off the lunch menu, and she had our food out in ten minutes, followed by our check. She came right back and ran our card immediately. We were done eating with 20 minutes to spare!!!! So, if you're in the area, and have a hankering for some American Chinese... check out Lin's. :) read more

The food was made exactly the way I requested as always, and so much I had dinner the next day. Honestly one order is always enough for two people. I ordered my favorite wonton soup and it was full of dumplings with pork balls in the middle of Nothing fake here. I always get my order as a take out and bring it home to eat. Ordered the black pepper chicken and fried rice. It was dry, bland, and not good. It was basically chicken nuggets, fried, and tossed in sautéed onions and peppers. Never had a bad meal at any location. Food is always fresh, hot and plentiful. Servers are on point and don't leave you waiting. I especially like to sit at the sushi bar and watch the magic happen. Sports are on the TV, noise is at a minimum and food is flowing. Pickup or eat in, no disappointments at Lin's. read more

Unless you've had REALLY good Chinese food you would assume that all Chinese food is made up of overcooked vegetables, slimy meat and salt. You would also assume that Chinese food is comprised of four tastes profiles - brown salty sauce, white salty sauce, brown candy and red candy. Chinese food seems to be the junk food of Asia. But that isn't really accurate at all. Good Chinese food just seems to be a rarity here in Louisiana. There are a few gems hidden amongst the slop. Lin's Kitchen is one of the better Chinese establishments here in Bossier City. They have tables inside for dine-in, but it has more of a fast food vibe than a nice sit-down place. It's more of a take-away place than anything. The prices are very nice. They also offer combination meals. Service is fast. The vegetables in each of our meals were crisp and perfectly cooked. The beef in the Beef and Broccoli had great color and consistency. It felt like beef! It wasn't encapsulated in gelatin. Nor was it limp. And the flavor! There is a hint of something - I don't know what, but it's good. I want to say cinnamon, but I'm not overly fond of cinnamon and this was good. It made my taste buds pop. The wonton soup was comprised of the typical, yet flavorful broth. The dumpling filling was very tasty. Nothing like the cooked-from-frozen blah-ness you usually find. The egg roll was perfect - it wasn't soggy and it was brimming with flavor. I wasn't crazy about the Lo Mein. It tasted like typical food court Lo Mein. I wrote a review for Lemongrass last year. The only positive that came from that place was THEIR Lo Mein and it was tops. Lin's Lo Mein tastes like something poured out of a bag and reheated. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't special either. A few things I did NOT like- the packaged sauces are gross. The fortune cookies aren't the best kind. Of course, this isn't the result of their cooking. Only their ordering. This will probably be our go-to to-go Chinese place around here. I just wish there was a "fancier" Chinese place in the area. read more

The food is fine, but if you go in the evening the meal is more costly and you have to pay extra for fried rice, extra for soup, extra for everything but the entree. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken, pork egg roll, shrimp egg roll, and Hot & Sour Soup. Everything tasted good! The food wasn't salty or greasy, and didn't leave me feeling uncomfortable in any way. The entree was fantastic. Good flavor, awesome presentation, and I appreciate that they didn't try to implement a lot of fillers to make it seem like you were getting a huge portion. The portions were definitely adequate though, I could not finish the entire meal. Well I could have, but they would have had to roll me to my car lol. The soup was good as well. It had a good flavor and consistency and wasn't the type of soup that turns into jello once it cools down. The egg rolls could use some work though. I have been eating at Lin's kitchen for over 15 years and it has ALWAYS been hot, fresh food.

I've been searching for a Chinese restaurant that doesn't add so much breading in their food and I have finally found one.

Really great chinese food. $6 lunch special. Can't beat it. I love this place.

Average . Two and a half stars would be more accurate . The fried rice had as much flavor as the regular rice . The Mongolian and the Gen Tos was ok but kinda bland, even when they drowned it in there sauce. The portions are a decent size though. It was good enough to go back and try something new. read more
