I would do zero stars if I could. Ordered 4 meals online for my husband, 2 daughters and I and when I got all the way home which is a 20 min drive I only had 3 meals. I've been going here ever since 10 years and they barely changed the food is really good and I would say it's really good quality it's priced really well I would recommend eating it there that's when it's the best. The elderly owners are a really great people and really nice. The ambiance is really calm and chill and it's really somewhere you can just sit and eat. read more

TLDR: food is great, prices are cheap, highly recommended. My wife and I live up in Benton and we have determined this place is not only the best Chinese takeout in our area, but also the cheapest. Is the customer service incredible? No. But the other two options in town also don't have incredible service. We choose to drive past two other places to go here because the food is better and it is significantly cheaper than the Benton/north bossier options. We typically get the house special lo mein and the general Tso's chicken. We've gotten other dishes, but those are the best in our opinion. We add extra vegetables to our lo mein and they charge $1 for that. Go give this place some business! It's great. read more

It's a little hole-in-the-wall and maybe one of the best kept secrets in Bossier City. While the food isn't the best you've had, it is very good and very reasonably priced. This business is owned by an older couple who also staff it. They are friendly and accommodating and move your fresh food from the wok to your take out box before your eyes. I am giving this an exceptionally generous 3 stars because it did not taste awful. So I ordered broccoli with garlic sauce. It was very oily as you can see in the photo and drowned the rice. The texture of the broccoli was good and the sauce tasted ok. But the thought of consuming so much oil almost made me sick. I also ordered a small vegetable fried rice. I was extremely disappointed. I looked forward to having some substantial vegetables, however I had what I would consider a typical side of fried rice. I was really hopeful for Chen's and may try something different in the future, but as for this meal, I just couldn't eat it. read more

We ordered takeout and the experience from start to finish was fantastic - great menu, easy order experience, fast order preparation, nice service with clear/helpful pickup instructions, and best of all - hot, delicious food! I have lived in Louisiana for 3 years now and haven't found a Chinese restaurant that I would like to be my go-to place. I decided to try Chens for take out about a week ago for the family. I called ahead but arrived in only 8 or 9 minutes. My food was ready when I got there. All of the vegetables were cooked just right- firm, not soggy but tender enough. We were all pleased with our meals. Portions were good size, take out containers were nice plastic with lids, making storage of leftovers easy. We will go back. We picked up some take out again tonight, different entrees this time and still really great. I am hoping their business is doing good. While normally I try to keep the good finds to myself, I am sharing because I have never seen them busy and now that I found food I love, I need to ensure that they stay in business! The white rice smelled like dirty socks ( this made us very uneasy about eating anything else we had)! If you are looking for good Chinese food that doesn't brake the pocket book then Chen's Chinese Restaurant in Bossier City LA is the place to go. I ordered some food yesterday and it was fantastic. The white rice was a little dry for my taste, but still good. This place will now be on my list of restaurant to visit for lunch. read more

This is the rudest restaurant in the city. The many times i have been nice and understanding ; i finally reached my boiling point. This man is mean and insulted me. Once he thought i was mexican and said he did not understand my order while I spoke better english than him he was very insulting. He talked very fast and always interrupted. He has seen me order many times and had the nerve to ask me if i understand english LOL! He does not listen to you and his wife is always in a bad mood. Do not come here the food is cheap but tastes old refrigerated and heated. Only if you are really hungry and broke. There is a reason it is always empty. The lunch special is $4.95 which includes a soup OR soda. He will confuse you by asking you if you want eggroll , soup , or soda. When you ask him to explain he will be rude to you and get mean. He is a mysoginist ! So, when you order lunch special with soup or soda it is 5.45 with tax but if you add egg roll it is 6.50 $ I still did not respond to his rude behavior, but yesterday i realized I will not give this restaurant another penny . As far as the food its a quickie hole in the wall place. I guess the owner thinks since its cheap he can treat people like crap. read more

It's a small hole-in-the-wall place on Benton Rd. that not many people know about, and that's what makes it great. Food is great, better than any buffet around. It is prepared fresh and quickly and hits the wok before you're finished ordering. Portions are more than adequate and prices are very reasonable.
