There's a lot of options and most of the food is good. I had the pad Thai and the masamun curry that was really good. The pad se eew was okay but it was not as good as the masamun curry. The pad Thai is good too but it is a bit too sweet for me. The pho here is good too. I would say one of the better Asian restaurants in Shreveport. My biggest complaint about this place is the service. The service here is incredibly slow and I legit have no idea how but I have had to wait a long time for food before. Even when it was a few of us, I would say that we have had to wait for over 30 minutes before. Sometimes the wait staff is good and refills our drinks and asks us if we need anything. Other times, the staff don't really pay attention to us at all. So the wait can be either good or bad. Overall, I would definitely give this place a try but not to expect too much from the wait staff. The food is good but the sitting and waiting can be an issue at times. read more

We got Sunday afternoon lunch takeout. We ordered Drunken Noodles with Chicken, Drunken Noodles with Tofu, Tom Kha Noodle soup with Chicken and Red curry with tofu. All of them spice level hot. First time eating here. The restaurant's pho feels authentic to southern Vietnamese. Sweeter, less salty broth. I'm very satisfied with the portions of protein, noodles, and herbs. Having bowl options is also great. Pho can be pricy, and having a restaurant with quality herbs and giving you them (and noodles) in abundance is hard to find in small town areas. I ordered Sliced Beef Pho, with the beef cuts on the side for me to dip into the steamy broth. The service is very friendly and super sweet. Great experience while eating. read more

The staff is nice and attentive. I give it 2 stars because the food we ordered was edible, at best. The pho broth was sweet, too sweet. I had to use a lot of sriracha and two limes to mask the sweet taste. Pho is not supposed to be sweet. The bean sprouts and basil were fresh. Whoever cut the brisket took care in trimming most of the fat out. Yet, the meatballs were not good quality. My favorite part of pho is the meatballs so I was disappointed. I really don't think the owners are Vietnamese. Also, hubby ordered the pad Thai medium spicy ( level 2). He couldn't eat it. It was too spicy. He didn't want to waste it so he asked for extra noodles (no spicy) to mix and offset the spiciness. It worked. But what we discovered from the non-spicy batch was that it freshly made compared to the original order. The original order must've come out of a large pre-made batch. That explains why it was spicy and mushy compared to the non-spicy noodles. I'm sure there are really good menu items that we did not get to enjoy. They had a nice size crowd so maybe we just didn't order the "right" stuff. read more

Used to be better before they redid the menu a couple years ago. Hours are a bit spotty and change frequency. They used to use water chestnuts in their food (or at least have them available) and don't anymore. I believe they got rid of the pineapple fried rice as well. The vegetable/tofu pho broth tastes different than it used to-- not very savory and they overdo the onions and cabbage. I'd recommend the tofu clay pot for vegans/vegetarians and the spicy drunken noodles for carnivores. The spring rolls are ok- would be better if they had tofu in them but the peanut sauce is really good. read more

You don't go here for the ambiance. It's a very old building with outdated decor. Don't get the kids menu food it's basically frozen nuggets heated in a microwave. Noodles and soup was decent. Good enough for when you're craving Asian food but will not be going back on a regular basis. read more

Visiting from Texas by way from California I thought I give this restaurant a try base on the positive reviews. Boy was I highly disappointed. Not only did they overcharge for the food they messed up my food order. I ordered the combination pho which was ok, the combination rice dish it was ok but not enough fish sauce small container, then the order spring rolls I SPECIFICALLY told them 3X that I wanted the fish sauce instead of the peanut sauce they messed that up. And the order egg rolls were tiny with no sauce to dip the dry egg rolls in. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH the $7.95 price charge. I enclosed pictures to show what I was dealt didn't notice until I got back to the hotel room by then it was too late they had already closed. On the suggestion of a friend, I gave this place a try. They suggested the pho, but I was getting carryout and so I tried the chicken and shrimp pad Thai. I also got an order of their spring rolls, which came with peanut sauce. The Pad Thai was good, although a little peanut-heavy. I didn't taste too much vinegar or fish sauce. It was sweet, spicy, and herbaceous. I wouldn't be surprised if they had tossed in some peanut sauce when making it because it tasted very similar to the sauce that came with the spring rolls. I squeezed a lime over the top and that helped with the sweetness. The chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly! The spring rolls were pretty average. Just tasted like lettuce and bean sprouts. Dipping them in the peanut sauce was good, but I'll add some sriracha to it next time because the sauce was pretty sweet. Next time, I'll be dining in. I want to try the pho and the fried baby octopus, which I heard is phenomenal. read more

I have been searching for a place with good Pho other than my house. I have finally found it. I got the sliced beef pho -raw on the side- with a side of vinegar dipped onions. It was delightful! The broth was amazing!!! The beef was thinly sliced and cooks in the broth (I've had it other places and they did it as chunks or shredded which I'm not a fan of). The mint, bean sprout, cilantro and onion was fresh and tasted splendid. I literally woke up the next day and wanted more. I wouldn't mind eating here another 2 or 3 times this week. read more

For my main, I ordered the lemon chicken vermicelli bowl, the serving was huge, a TON of noodles. Some of the BEST food I have ever had. I was so excited and pleased with my food it was unbelievable! Felt lucky to discover such a great place to eat locally with my fiancé and daughter. First time ever having pho (ordered the beef pho) and it was incredible. The flavor was amazing, serving size made 3 meals, and the service was wonderful. Great environment. My daughter had the sesame chicken (lasted two big meals) and it was the best sesame chicken I've ever tasted (and I've tried a lot). Will most definitely be going back. We were traveling down to New Orleans and decided to stay in the area on impulse. As always we were willing to try the local Vietnamese fare and chose Danh's Garden. Usual these smaller towns usually disappoint ... BUT we were pleasantly surprised when they DID NOT. We called in the phone order for pickup: 1. Spring rolls 2. Beef Pho 3. Vegetable noodles 4. Combination fried rice The rolls were pretty decent w shrimp and pork and not overly stuffed w noodles. Plus. The beef pho was flavorful and had decent body in the broth. There were several types of cuts of meat along with tripe and small portions of ligaments. The only draw back was that there wasn't enough herbs. They provided the customary hoisin and sriracha sauce. The vegetable noodles were not overly cooked and had plenty of variety and flavor. My son consumed a large portion of the combination fried rice. They did a good job of balancing the different portions of meat and they didn't darken the rice w soy which many places tend to do.
