First is the spicy beef pho. It wasn't spicy, overall flavor was ok. I added about an inch from a Sriracha bottle. Better. Was brought chili oil. I liked the heat from the chili oil, but the oil had a bad taste and ruined the pho. The garlic beef, on the other hand, is amazing! read more

Great find. It's rare that a place that does Asian fusion does each type of food equally well... but this place had really good Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese food on my visit today. The fried jalapeño with a tempura batter was incredible. And the vermicelli bowl and Bahn mi were also very good. The shrimp spring roll was also a hit. Oh Boy...coming from CA where there's multiple Pho restaurants in every city, it's hard not to be judgmental of the quality of Pho. But just basing the Pho from here on it's own and not to the Pho I get in CA, I give this place a 4 star. The restaurant is a little run down but the service is good and the quality is not too bad either. It's good on a cold day considering how cold it gets out here compared to CA. I was VERY skeptical with so many different types of Asian cuisine on the menu, but I'm eating my words after eating their pho! Broth was great and the choices go beyond just tai and bo vien. I had the veggie pho and it was loaded with all kinds of fresh veggies plus a few strips of fried tofu. They have lots of other authentic Vietnamese dishes like bun bo hue (next thing I'm trying!), banh mi, and banh bao with the quail egg. So was in town just for a few hours and needed to grab a quick dinner. So I yelped the area and chose this little pho joint. I must say this is a little hidden gem. I was greeted and chatted with the server about different menu options. I decided on the gyoza, fresh rolled spring roll, and fried rice. All were very tasty I really enjoyed the spring roll and dipping sauce. I don't know what it is about a fresh spring roll that gets me every time! The whole dining experience was very pleasant. I've ordered the hibachi steak/shrimp take out three times and each time the steak is overcooked and the shrimp isn't deveined at all. We've visited this place a few times and have been truly satisfied with our experience each time. The food portions are a tad more than other Vietnamese Pho restaurants which is great for people with big appetites but I sometimes wish that they had a smaller version of the Pho for a smaller price. Wait staff is always friendly. Owner is almost always present to oversee that things are in order. The building is quite old and has housed many restaurant brands. I witnessed a server take an egg roll order from a customer and go to the back. When he was in the kitchen through the glass windows, I saw him open a chest freezer, dig in with his bare hands a handful of frozen rolls and then walk over to where the frying pans are and dropped the rolls in the fryer. This was my introduction to pho about three years ago. For at least a year I would go once or twice a week. The food quality is exceptional. The amount they give you is more than enough. The only complaint is that recently as in the last year it seems the pho isn't as good as it once was. The Gyoza were fried a little bit too hard and which dried up the insides but they had good flavor nevertheless. For the main entrees my brother ordered the Pho with all the meats. fair warning there will be some stuff in there that you won't be able to recognize just eat it and enjoy the experience.
