Our new favorite Asian fusion place in Arkansas! Food is fresh and the service is great! We will definitely be coming back over and over.

I ordered sashimi, unagi don, and fried soft shell crab. I picked it up about an hour later and the…read moresashimi wasn't ready so I waited another 7 or so minutes while they rushed around to prepare and package my order. The octopus sashimi was not tender. The white tuna was not particularly buttery as it should have been if it was escolar (not sure what it was really). The eel was deliciously soft and had the traditional sweet unagi sauce atop. The fried soft shell crab for $7.95 was a whole crab fried into about four pieces. It was not as tender as I've had elsewhere but good for Searcy. The unagi don was in good portion with about seven slices of eel atop a bed of somewhat dry rice. It came with some pickled ginger, a wee bit of seaweed salad, and some artificial wasabi. The eel was good.

I was quite unimpressed with this place. It lacked ambiance, character and warmth. The service…read morewas robotic, and the food barely met standards.... I've gotta vent here..... as a former Sushi chef in Japan, this bastardization of Sushi has gone too far, and this place is just another contributor.... I see that people's favorites here are the Volcano Roll and other localized concoctions... Here's a hint: If you're seeing 'deep fried', 'sirachi', 'cream cheese' or a multitude of other American ingredients in your sushi roll, it's not Sushi. Sure, you enjoy it, and so do I sometimes, but let's stop calling it Sushi. Fair enough? Let's call them 'Fat Rolls' or "Saucy Snakes' or something that describes them better. OK, off my soapbox. This place is un-inspiring....

My husband and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary at Rex's. On our reservation, my husband noted…read morethat our wedding cake was a Rum cake and we rarely get it, but if they could make one it would be appreciated. (We ask every year) Not expecting them to honor it because it's a BIG ASK in food service - they went ABOVE AND BEYOND. We were given champagne and they made a rum cake for us! We were crying with gratitude, the hostesses and wait staff were crying, and it will be an anniversary to remember. The ambiance and decor was edgy and modern. You could actually have a conversation while it not being too quiet or too loud. Oh and the food was fantastic! We ordered crispy rice cabbage salad () a patty melt, Khao Soi, and two cocktails. Unbelievable quality. Even better service! Our waitress, Parker, was knowledgable about everything on the menu, suggested the fries (don't skip those), and very attentive. We will be back.

When it comes to Arkansas and foreign foods, I think we need to do better than just our southern salt and pepper seasoning. Bring on the Thai spices!! The pad kra was good, I'll give it a 7/10. It needed more of a Thai punch. I get it, people here have a soft palate but come on lol. I added some extra gochujang, chili flakes, and Thai chili to elevate it and all that made it work. Those wings though are outstanding! Extra crispy and hot to order. I prefer wet wings but the fun does come into the dipping process and their sauces. The burger looked fantastic and tasted good. The bun just doesn't stand a chance, it'll become moist from the heat and not stand on its own. But I still give that a 7/10. I am eager to come back and try other things. Their kimchi gravy schnitzel is something I want to try soon. Will be back for sure!

Tried KPOT as a pitstop on a family roadtrip and was pretty disappointed. We came during lunch time…read moreand asked for a table for 4. During lunch you get to order from a limited menu, and we decided to go with the AYCE Korean BBQ option. After we received the meat, the grill failed to get to a sufficient temperature to cook the meat. We brought this up to the waiters attention, and he immediately tried to fix the solution by moving us to a different table. Because there was a shift change, he transferred us to another waitress which was no issue to us. However, the grill again failed to get hot enough to even put a sear on the meat. I asked the waitress again if this is the hottest temperature that they have, and she said yes. I attached a picture but imagine waiting 10 minutes for the meat to get cooked, only for it to be barely braised at a Korean BBQ restaurant lol. Taste wise, the bulgogi was not marinated in what I would consider a bulgogi marinade and had a strange aftertaste. Not only that, the waitress did not check up on our table for the remainder of the meal so we didn't get a single water refill, and I had to ask another staff member to please bring the check. The restaurant appears to be clean, but to call this Korean bbq would be a joke considering you couldn't even cook the meat properly. I did notice that some of the other tables on the outskirts seemed to be able to pack a little bit more heat so maybe the tables in the center are not as great. Definitely would not be back nor recommend anyone else to come.
