Tiny glass and nothing but ice. $10 for that. We had already finished our appetizer before I even got it. Short staffed. There are not many classy Chinese restaurants in Little Rock area, both locations are clean and classy. we have tried as many things as possible- spring rolls, crab Rangoon - ginger salad, massive bowl of hot and spicy soup. I've been coming to AW Lin's for over 8 years. My family and I absolutely love this spot - it's a must-visit destination for Asian cuisine in the Promenade. Every dish I've ever had has been delicious and the service is fantastic. I recommend trying the spicy scallion chicken and spicy crispy fish. They also have a lunch menu with several combo options. Fantastic China was a staple of mine until the change in ownership in recent years. The quality is just not there so I had to find a new place. Well, A.W. Lin's is the place to go! The atmosphere is good. The service and the food, however, are great! Simply top notch! I haven't had Chinese food that good in Little Rock in years. I can't wait to go back. This was the worst Pad Thai I've ever had. Pad Thai is usually my go-to when I am traveling for work because it is a pretty standard dish. But this was pretty awful. Too soupy, weird vegetables that don't belong in traditional Thai disheS and way too sweet. Also big clumpy wet pile of crushed peanuts made the texture even worse. The sushi was suspect too, kinda slimy and weird. Do not recommend. read more

The pad Thai was overloaded with sugar. I could barely taste the lemongrass, if, in fact, it was part of the dish, and the peanuts. I've eaten at the West Little Rock location previously and enjoyed it. During the pandemic, I picked up from the downtown location, which smelled of sewer (same as it did when this place sought years ago to be a jazz dance and supper club). I'm not sure if I'll return. Except for the Mex and African fare that I've eaten in my sweet hometown, I'm pretty disappointed in the ethnic food. I cannot imagine that owners of AW Lin, who I presume are Asian, are, themselves, eating the PadThai they serve to customers. read more

We've ordered from here a couple of times and the food is really hit or miss. Our most recent order was the app for two, "mapo tofu," hot and sour soup, and a twice cooked pork dish. The app was good but hard to go wrong with a lot of fried things. Chicken skewers were excellent. My husband enjoyed his pork as well. My hot and sour soup was ok; not the best version I've had but not the worst either. The "mapo tofu" is what caused this order to go sideways. It's listed on the menu as medium spicy. What I got had absolutely no chili oil, no Szechuan pepper corns. It was tofu, with some garlic and a very few spring onions, in a gloppy brown sauce. Ugh. And no pork, though I've had competent vegan versions of mapo tofu. Don't put it on the menu if you can't do a halfway decent version of it. read more

I ate at A.W. Lin's about 2 weeks ago and it was my first dine-in experience as I almost exclusively ordered online. What makes this place truly stand out is the traditional Chinese dishes they serve, but there are some American style dishes for those who are hesitant to venture out of their comfort zone. I started with a cold appetizer of beef tendon followed by the hot sichuan braised beef shank noodle soup for my main. The chili oil they use for the beef tendon is home made and very aromatic, couple that with fresh cilantro placed on top to cut the richness of the tendon and it was a well balanced dish. And I will be the first to admit, when it comes to traditional Sichuan dishes, I prefer my spice level on the brink of deadly and I asked if the kitchen could accomodate that, and they were more than happy to since this noodle soup is typically a spicier option to choose. It delivered on the spice as well but the flavor wasn't muted from the spice thankfully. Not to mention the portion size is absolutely massive. All in all, I wish I would have eaten inside sooner instead of doing the online order. The service is phenomenal and everyone does a great job of making you feel welcome and insuring you have the best dining experience possible. Highly recommend! read more

Street parking clean quiet restaurant with a large selection pho was amazing! The Mongolian beef was the best I've EVER HAD! The wontons were thick but delicious. Egg drop soup couldn't have been any more perfect. I'm stuffed beyond measure and will now need someone to drive me home! Next time I hope to try the sushi it looks amazing. It was my favorite downtown spot. Sadly, I was informed last Friday night they are now under new management. Frankly, I haven't had service that poor in years. The bartender (possible manager?) was far more interested in chatting with the to-go delivery driver than he was in preparing and/or bringing drinks to our table (a table of 10 adults who waited over 20 minutes for drinks to arrive). Drinks, when finally prepared, sat at the bar until we finally asked if he would hand us the same. They also apparently have new kitchen staff. The food itself was bland and the lo mein was unforgivably mushy and was left mostly uneaten. The food was simply joyless. read more

The GM told me to "go kill myself"... I left a review about hair in my food and was asked to come back for compensation. Went back and the GM, Zach, was immediately aggressive, told me I was banned, then followed me outside to threaten to fight me if he ever saw me elsewhere. He ended up shouting at me at the front door of the restaurant, flipping me off, and ended with telling me to "kill myself" as he was walking back in... absolutely insane experience, all because I had a hair in my food during my initial visit and it turn out Zach was the waiter that told me, after insinuating it was my hair (which is blond, and the hair in the food was black), there was nothing they could do about it. Me and my girlfriend ordered from this location just a few minutes ago. we ordered it as a delivery and it was delivered by Uber eats. The restaurant only prepared half our food and only refunded one portion of it because they also left out a German chocolate cake but did not refund it. The food was good but definitely no more than average. There was no plastic ware or sauces in the bag. my girlfriend had to order from somewhere else just so we could both have enough food to eat. After this experience I find it to be a very slim possibility that we ever order from this restaurant again. read more
