Was so excited to try this place, when you enter, it's cozy, clean and well laid out, and the staff immediately directed me to choose a table. My salad was really good even if it was a little heavy on a mayo based dressing and the onion soup was very good. I was so excited about having nice fresh sushi because I live over in Diamondhead and the only thing we have available in town they should be considered bait. Ordered a nine piece chef's choice sashimi which should come with no rice just fish and a roll, can't even remember the name of it, but it was supposed to have smoked salmon, cream cheese, mango, and tempura shrimp. As I prefer fresh salmon, I asked if they could substitute the smoked and she told me it would be an up charge. I thought that was kind of funny because smoked salmon should probably be more expensive or equal in price with fresh salmon but whatever, I agreed to the up charge. The one time that I don't snap a picture of my beautiful Sushi, it arrives with no salmon at all on the roll. There seemed to be a little of a language barrier, so figured she thought I just wanted the salmon removed altogether. Not a huge deal, as long as I didn't get charged for it. Everything else looked really good even though they brought me Nigiri sushi, which includes a big glop of rice underneath it . I wasn't complaining, I was looking forward to a nice lunch with some good sushi grade fish. I tried to flag the server down and let her know that I was missing my salmon, but she was busy waiting on other tables, so I finally just went ahead and ate my lunch, avoiding the knobs of Sushi rice under was supposed to be sashimi (just sliced fish). Imagine my surprise when the bill showed up and I had a $4.95 up-charge for salmon - the salmon that never appeared on my roll. I brought this to the wait staff's attention and she turned around and walked back to the kitchen and spoke with the Sushi chef for a couple of minutes and then came back and said "well he said he put regular salmon on your roll, it was just cut very very thin." Nope, the only thing on top of that was mango sliced paper thin and some sauce. There was a little tempura shrimp on the inside and some cream cheese and greens but nothing else. The roll was already $15. I think so it was close to $20 roll for LESS product. Frustrating, especially when I specified fresh salmon ***replacing the smoked salmon***. Then she proceeded to tell me that she didn't know how to take it off the bill, even though I hadn't asked for it to be removed, but certainly expected it to be removed since I didn't get what I paid for. Finally, after I said "fine I'll just go ahead and pay for it, but I won't be back " she showed up with five one dollar bills , most likely out of her own tips . I felt a little bit bad but what they did was still unacceptable. They served me LESS, and expect me to pay for something I didn't receive . She was sweet and I really do think she did everything she thought she could do. She explained that the manager was out/off and she hadn't been trained on the register. I left her the five dollars that she "refunded" back and will this not set foot in this restaurant again. You should be able to communicate effectively with your customers so alteration or special requests can be executed. Disappointing read more

The menu includes so many great selections from soups & salads, hibachi dinners, a wide variety of sushi & rolls. Last time I ate at Ninja I had the Crab Rangoon appetizer which were so crunchy, creamy cheesy, and delicious. I also ordered the Kani Maruto Roll which is crab & creamy sauce wrapped in cucumber. We got take out and thoroughly enjoyed every bite! The fried softshell crab was SO good and only $8. The large salad with ginger dressing was great with added carrots and cucumber and the dressing was very tasty and a little sweet. The rolls we got were all very good! My favorite was the lobster roll. Then, at a close second, was the Godzilla roll. Johnney's roll was also good with a nice crunch, but it was a little one-noted. My only complaint is the rolls are SO big, I can't eat a piece of sushi in one bite, so it made for a very messy dinner. For $38, you can get any three rolls plus a salad and soup. read more

I ordered the Dinner A which includes the California , spicy tuna, and monkey brain rolls with soups and salad for $17.00. I liked the presentation of the rolls. The flavors were just as you'd expect them to be. They are fairly consistent in flavor and quality that you would get from other places in central AR. Although I do think the rice could be better. Overall I really enjoyed the experience. The onion soup had good flavor with a darker broth than the the norm. They offer sashimi salad and poke bowls that I'd like to try in the future. The rolls were a bit expensive but definitely worth it - generous portions of fish! And after four months of having to miss out on sushi due to COVID-19, this was a wonderful meal! We came here for an early lunch (11AM) based on Yelp reviews. We were the only customers in the restaurant and we decided to sit at the bar. The server immediately took our drink order and provided menus. We decided to order the lunch special combos. I order the 2 roll combo which came with salad or soup. My boyfriend ordered the special roll and nigiri combo which also came with salad or soup. For my two roll selections I chose the tempura shrimp and spicy crab roll with a salad and ginger dressing. The salad had a crunchy topping and the dressing tasted fresh and homemade. The tempura shrimp roll was the best of the 2. It was very thick but had a lot of ingredients. The spicy crab roll was also very tasty. The crab was fresh. The special roll that was ordered was the capital roll and yellow fin tuna nigiri with the miso soup. The capital roll included tempura shrimp, cream cheese, avocado, crunchy and spicy crab on top with spicy mayo and eel sauce. The yellow fin tuna was very fresh and the pieces were much larger than the rice. The servings were great for a lunch serving. The service was great as well and very attentive. Oh my goodness, best place I've been to in Little Rock for sushi. The people running it are nice, the service was excellent! My gosh the girl who was waitressing helped so much. Their Miso and Onion soup were legit, like souper good!! We had the Hanabi, Rainbow, and Johney Lover rolls. My daughter picked this restaurant for her dinner out for her 13th birthday. This place was perfect for us as we have kids ranging in age from 3 to 13. The little people in our family devoured their hibachi chicken and shrimp plates! The rest of us enjoyed the sushi, and we all agreed it was probably one of the best sushi dinners we have had in a while. We look forward to going back and trying more rolls! It was a decent experience, however not my absolute favorite sushi. Tried a special roll, roll with fire, and sashimi. The best one was definitely the sashimi, although it is served in cubes rather than the typical nice slices. The sashimi was also a little chewy - when it is typically very smooth. The with fire roll was an interesting experience, for sure! Although, it does leave a "grilled" taste in your mouth, since it is literally lit on fire at your table while it's wrapped in aluminum like a baked potato. Additionally, I was disappointed that the tea was unable to be served hot enough. They said something was off with the machine and they were unable to heat up the water any more. It didn't even get to a boiling temperature, or anywhere near boiling. I thought restaurants were required to have water available at a certain heat temp. The atmosphere is pretty interesting and I really enjoyed the low, Japanese style seating! All in all... I probably won't return, as I've found other sushi restaurants I like better in the area. read more

The manager on Wednesday7/3 was horrible and you can tell he doesn't care about the business. We ordered 3 fried rice with tofu instead of chicken. The food was ok but only 1 waiter in the place and the manager never left from behind the bar...on his phone. When the bill arrived there were 3 $8 charges for tofu. That is $2/piece and the waiter said that was what the manager insisted on, so we asked to speak to him, bit he wouldn't come to the table. Instead he dropped the price to $5 and we left. I have never been to a restaurant where the manager was too afraid to speak to a table about a complaint.
