Blackened Ahi Tuna Bowl Chowly House Miso Soup Robata Shishito Peppers Chowly

For the price and the taste? Absolutely not worth it. Hot garbage at best, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I was hoping for a good meal to take to the park but this was a letdown from start to finish. The tuna bowl was bland and when I added the ponzu sauce it tasted like what I imagine cat piss might taste like...truly awful. The sake sauce on the shishito peppers was way too overpowering and for $8, I expected more than just eight peppers. As for the miso soup... I've had miso all over the world and this just wasn't it. If you have functioning tastebuds do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. The disappointment was overwhelming

Stopped here for dinner on a road trip. The staff is wonderful. The service is amazing. And the food is delicious.

I was able to taste test these octopus bites. Hopefully they make their way to the menu because they were phenomenal

I would move to this state just to experience Kemuri again. The rolls- transcendent. The toppings selected from the sea gods themselves. The service- impeccable. When I moved to the south I didn't believe good sushi existed. After 3 years, and traveling through LR- this is it. Kemuri changed my mind. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the edamame. The garlic didn't complement it well but still 5 stars. That's how good everything else was in comparison.

Food was fresh and tasty. I had California Roll and edamame. The Mocktail I ordered was a light, refreshing drink made with grapefruit, pineapple, and club soda. The host and wait staff were all pleasant and welcoming. If you plan on dining here reservations are recommended.

We dined at Kemuri for the first time for a special occasion date night last Friday night. We had a reservation for 6:45 PM and they got us seated pretty quickly (in a dark corner?) and we started to look at the menu. Took 10+ minutes just to get waters and 35-45 minutes to get our appetizer and at that point we were starving. It was busy, but not so busy for us to be ignored for so long. Our server didn't introduce himself and told us to just throw a dart at the menu and order whatever because it was hard to go wrong. We had PLENTY of time to figure out what to order because we sat for so long and the food really was superb, but my partner would be hard-pressed to return because the service was exceptionally bad. Would probably return because it's the best sushi we've had in Little Rock, but would maybe have a snack before :/

Love this place! One of my favorites in Little Rock. Sushi is always fresh and I've never had a roll I didn't like. The spicy edamame, ribs, crispy rice are all delicious appetizers. I personally love their spicy rolls (crazy monkey, volcano, poison)! Service is always good and staff is all great. Ambiance is wonderful for a birthday dinner or date night.

This was my first trip to Little Rock, Arkansas. Since we were only here for 1 night we decided to go for sushi. This restaurant was fantastic! I was so hungry I didn't get pictures of the starters. We had the edamame, mussels, and tuna tataki, which was absolutely delicious. The edamame had just the right amount of garlic salt, the mussels were in a coconut lime sauce which was perfect, and the tuna had a thin crust of spice but it was not overwhelming. I had the princess roll with the jalapeños on the side and my husband had the Chefs Sashimi plate. JD our server and he did an excellent job of explaining the menu., which is extensive. Great ambience throughout the venue. Highly recommend this restaurant for great sushi dishes

It is a pricey meal, but let me just tell you it's also one of the best sushi experiences I've had in a long long time!! The service was perfect. The ambiance is pleasant and upscale. I'll definitely be back!

Located a short drive from downtown Little Rock, the oyster bar is in a cool strip of bars and restaurant on west Markham street. My dad has raved both their Rockefeller oysters, so we had to make a pit stop. Lively, two open dining areas, central bar area, and a well lit patio makes for a good sized restaurant for any occasion. We just missed the oyster happy hour, but that's more reason to come back for more! Our oysters were good sized and stuffed full of spinach, cheese and breadcrumbs. Drinks were great as well. We walked in at 5:30 and by 7:30, there was a waitlist, live music and some big groups dining in. Definitely worth a stop in if you're in the mood for oysters, the Oyster Bar didn't disappoint!

The service was slightly disappointing, which led to a four star rather than five star rating from me. The restroom is on one corner of the restaurant. Unfortunately, we were seated in the farthest corner from that restroom. It's a fairly large building with multiple rooms. Going forward, I will ask to be seated closer to the restroom. My mother has dementia and the distance to the restroom made things a little difficult for us. It might be also be difficult with small children.

This time around I asked the girl at the counter what her favorite dish was and she said, "shrimp kabobs." I was sold. SO GLAD I LISTENED!!!! These are THE most flavorful kabobs I've ever had, and they are accompanied by some of the best rice and beans I've ever had. I was fully expecting beans and rice Mexican-style since the place is owned-operated by mi gente, but it was a more Cajun-style brand and rice. These beans and rice are so damn good. I just can't. These kabobs are perfectly seasoned with fresh lemons, tomatoes, onions, and zucchini. It's is CLEAR they make these to order, so when you get it expect a wait...that will be well worth it. Yeah, I take back my last review. You don't come to a place like this in central Arkansas and order oysters. That was dumb. This, however, is the best decision I've made this trip. Hands down.

The chairs look like they escaped from a 1950s diner and that's how everyone likes it. The catfish is the real deal -- cornmeal-crusted, perfectly seasoned, tender inside with just the right snap on the outside. The shrimp are butterflied, large, perfectly breaded, and fried with the same care. Hush puppies that are neither greasy nor dense, which sounds simple until you realize how rarely anyone gets it right. The shrimp and grits definitely lived up to its hype! I ordered the half order of shrimp and grits, the grits were perfectly made and also came with six of the most juiciest shrimps. The waitress that I had was very attentive and professional, she helped me with everything that I needed and was timely when it came to placing the order and serving food. Unfortunately, my experience was EXTREMELY subpar. There were only THREE menu items available and were extremely overpriced for the ingredients used as well as the quality and portion size. I only had $20 in cash on me, because by the way, they're mostly cash only, so the only thing I could order was the " hood noodles". That honestly should've been my red flag right there, but I wanted to support a local black business. Not only was the owner or the food truck manager, extremely RUDE and DISMISSIVE to concerns I had about my order accuracy (at the time of ordering), but the wait time was 25 minutes for some REHEATED Ramen noodles, jar Alfredo sauce, overcooked shrimp WITH the shell on, and OVERLY salted and seasoned food. I'm someone who loves flavor, but that plate was walking hypertension. Also, eggs were supposed to come with my order, and there was none in sight. The most edible thing on the plate was the sausage and that was after all the excess seasoning was washed off. I'm not one to trash small businesses, but even the presentation of the truck was underwhelming and concerning. Handwritten and torn up menu signs and NOT the cleanliest either. I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this food truck, or the actual restaurant business in Little Rock to anyone. Even though the owner specializes in "hood meals ", I don't think quality has to suffer.
