We were going to get the vegetarian pho, but it came with only the beef broth. We settled for bun vermicelli, and it was really light and healthy, which is what we needed during the peak of our road trip. The waitress who served us did her best but I noticed the kitchen staff did not treat her well at all. The pho broth was not very flavorful and the noodles themselves had very little body and were lackluster. My husband did not enjoy their lemongrass grill because it had a sharp unpleasant aftertaste. I had pork and shrimp summer rolls followed by round and tendon pho. Was not crazy for the tendon. Place just opened, but they also have vermicelli bowls or rice bowls. Basil leaves for the pho were wilted and not very plentiful. Broth was good. In general, would like to see more fresh herbs in both rolls and pho. Went in a little before 5 and the place was pretty dead. I got the pho with tofu and veggies. Veggies were obviously the frozen kind. Tofu was overcooked and rubbery. Gross. Broth had very little flavor, so I had to add a jalapeno pepper slice, which is about all I could taste. I much prefer the top-notch pho place over in Evergreen. read more

Giving a 5 star because I love there Pho soup . The employees are very friendly and polite . They definitely care about that restaurant. I am only suggesting here I ordered a beef broccoli combination about 15-16$ fills up half of the split tray mostly broccoli about 5-8 pieces of beef . Just feels like a lot for the price. I really hate to even comment that because your so great and for others I highly recommend you eat here. Good pho doesn't feel full of MsG and chemicals , feels cleaner than pho ly doesn't taste good to me to many chemicals . This Vietnamese restaurant is the best in service and food I believe. I come from California and there are lots of Vietnamese restaurants. When I came to this city I just saw the Pho Ly rated almost 5 stars in the yelp. I was excited to try but I was really really disappointed. Almost the day before I leave, I was able to run into this restaurant and decided to give it a try. I was so glad I did it. The Pho broth is so delicious and the noodle was just cooked right. Everything we ordered turns out delicious. The service was excellent! On the manual, I could not find the option of the meat like beef tendon and meat ball which are my favorite. So I asked if that could be an option. The lady (I guess is the boss) was happily accept that option. Guess what? They even had the chili oil. That made the meal more favorable. As a tourist I depended a lot on Yelp app. to try delicious food. But not every time it gave you the right suggestions. From California visiting friends in Kalispell and decided to check this place out. Had cravings for Pho and wanted to see how it compares to pho in Orange County CA. Soup for pho was delicious. Flavor was on point and balanced. Not too salty not bland. Taste was authentic. Meat was kind of hit and miss I had the flank meat and a good amount of it wasn't flank and was another cut of beef, not sure if that was intentional. We ordered some egg rolls as well for appetizers. They were different from what I typically find in egg rolls from vietnamese restaurant. They had a lot of cabbage in them which was something new for me. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Definitely would recommend if you want an idea of what authentic pho taste like. read more

In brief: Clean and convenient (over at the box stores); yet, it's nothing to write home about, pricey for what you get, and definitely not the best in Flathead. Out of pressure, I did it - I tried Pho 888 with a friend. I ordered the "large" Pho Dac Biet, which I call "the Ultimate Pho" with everything from tripe to tendon to beef brisket and flank.... Good pho is the result of a combination of things, but primarily "it's in the broth." What is lacking? 1. Taste. I am really curious about how the broth is made, in terms of what is used (beef bone, oxtail bone, ingredients - star anise, cloves, yellow rock sugar?) and more importantly how long of a simmer (likely not 10 hours). The first sip of the broth yielded an "Okay" response from me and my friend. By the third or fourth, it was - as one reviewer indicated - BLAND. Too bad. 2. Affordability. The "large" is about $14!!! And it is NOT large. It is about the size of the Small at Pho Ly which I do believe to be the VERY best in Montana (more on Pho Ly in a sec). The Pho 888 "large" is also several dollars more than the Large at Pho Ly, which is HUGE, if you've ever gone there. Way too expensive, Pho 888! 2. Basil. I got THREE leaves on the stem. What?! There was an okay amount of sprout. 3. Chopsticks. None at the table, and I had to wait and ask for chopsticks. What? 4. Small-town warmth. Young waitress was nice and customer-service-training-warmth was there, but she seemed distracted. Maybe it's the darn box stores contagion. I will be making the longer drive to Evergreen and staying with Pho Ly, where the owners and wait staff are warm and friendly in a "homestyle" way, know a lot of customers by their first names, and Pho Ly's broth blows them all away! The only consistent disappointment I've had with Pho Ly is that they are a bit skimpy on the meat. Pho 888 is VERY generous in the amount of meat they provide. But I won't be going back, because what is lacking is significant to me. It's worth trying at least once, as our taste buds are different; and then you can go to Pho Ly (you'd think I worked there). read more

Waitress sat us and said she'd be back with waters but never returned. We did get a new waitress who eventually grabbed waters for us. We ordered egg rolls, spring rolls, pho, and the lemongrass shrimp. Food came faster than expected. Spring rolls were almost legit- only missing the peanut sauce (plain hoison was served), egg rolls were better than expected and piping hot, pho broth was missing salt/fish sauce , lemongrass shrimp was standard. We would consider coming again but would want to try out some of the other Vietnamese places in the area first. read more

Went to Pho 888 for the first time tonight. I ordered #18 Bún tht nng which is pork with vermicelli noodles. The bbq pork had really good flavor, and the noodles were also tasty with a hint of lemongrass to them. My friends both ordered different phos and both liked them. I tried the broth and it was quite tasty. The service was excellent and I would say this is the best Vietnamese food I've had in Flathead Valley so far. read more

First time at this new restaurant! Totally Impressed, the service was friendly. I had the Pho Trinh and it did not disappoint, the best part was it seemed to be a healthier version of PHO. The broth was so good, and not overly salty. Pho888 had plenty of spice options on the table to spice it up to the level I wanted!!! Checked this place out for the first time today. Ordered the potstickers- we were offered fried or steamed... we got steamed, they were good but will choose fried next visit. Ordered the vermicelli tofu bowl - good portion and fresh ingredients. Loved the egg roll that came with it. Happy with the Thai iced tea. And we were stoked to find that a new Vietnamese restaurant had opened up in Kalispell while we were off living in the South for the winter. Not only was the food delicious (I LOVE the vermicelli bowls), but, the service was excellent!
