I brought my wife here for a date. We have a lot of history working in Thailand, and we were looking forward to a good evening together and good Thai food. (I had been here once last summer and it tasted very good.) This was not at all what we hoped for. The worst part was the food. I ordered pad thai and my wife ordered the red curry. I ordered a spice level 10 (hottest), and my wife ordered a level 8. Our food was at a spice level 2--almost no heat. My kids could easily handle the spice level. And the flavors were pathetically bland. With our experience in Thailand, we can confidently say the food is just sub-par. I wanted to at least request some salt (or some fish sauce and a spice tray like most Thai restaurants have), but no one ever came back to check on us. This brings me to the second worst part of the evening. The waitstaff showed very little enthusiasm. They took our order and dropped off the food. That was it. There were only three other customers in the restaurant. Even though we had disappointment with the food, there was nobody we could voice our concerns to. Another annoying factor was that, they had 80s hairband rock music pumped up pretty loud. It is just not conducive to enjoying your time. We didn't stay to finish our meal because the whole experience was so disappointing. Since the weight staff never came back to our table, I had to go upfront finally and ask for the check so we could leave. My recommendation is that you get your Thai food elsewhere--or just don't get your hopes up. Although it's not Thai, we'd recommend heading to Pho888 just one block away, or Hokkaido next door. We wish we had chosen either of them instead. Granted, Kalispell is not a sought after center for authentic Asian cuisine, and we know that. But this experience tonight was just a waste of time and money. (We headed to The River Coffee Company so we could at least somewhat rescue the remainder of our date night. I went here back in March! The good: food tasted pretty good. We only have one other thai restaurant in Kalispell, so it's great to have this option now! New restaurant. I think we ordered soup (can't remember if it was thom kha kai or Thom yum) and larb. The bad: Portions were a bit small. The menu said rice came with most items, but we were told rice was a seperate side because the tablet computers used to take orders would only accept it as a seperate side rather than part of the meal. They gave us rice anyway! (And maybe either the tablets or the menu have been corrected by now.) And weirdly, there seemed to be hand sanitizer rather than soap in the restroom? Hand sanitizer is less effective than soap. We will certainly be back --I expect most of the issues we ran into were related to the restaurant being new and still finding their footing with the computer system they use to order, or the getting the soap for the restroom. read more

We've been patiently waiting for this place to open since they put the sign up, as we love Thai food. Last night we finally got to try it - and were very happy with the food! The only reason I am only giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to them not yet having their adult beverages available, and the atmosphere is more of a casual take-out vibe, and we like to dine-in and prefer a warmer, cozier vibe. The food was excellent - the spring rolls were extremely light and crispy, just the way we like them - they were not greasy at all! The drunken noodles, volcano shrimp and crab fried rice were also fantastic. Great flavors, and if you can believe it, really good level of spice. They ask you what level of spice you want (0-10) and they deliver tasty and spicy food. The veggies were fresh and everything was cooked to perfection. Service was attentive and fast. We will definitely return when we have a craving for Thai food, and I can image this place will do well for takeout. Glad to have another option in the valley! read more

Food was not good. Chicken dish had pieces of skin and very little chicken. Heavy peanut sauce that tasted stale. Some of the vegitables were not fresh and the Thai coffee tasted fermented. Our waitress Michelle was amazing, the service was impeccable and our water glasses were always cold. The restaurants clean, well lit and has huge Windows facing the mountains. We ordered the Tom costume which was delicious. Then we ordered Pad See we and Pad Thai for entree. Coming back from trip to Canada and happened upon this little gem! Oh my goodness, the food was so delicious and I'm not sure we have had such generous portions (without skimping on the flavor in the least). The menu was confusing with the photos jumbled up, and the only allergens shown were gluten free or fish. In all my years of eating Thai food I have never had a fresh roll without tofu. It was just cabbage and veggies and the peanut sauce was not good. We asked for a side of brown rice and they brought us fried rice. The chicken satay had good flavor, but the texture was very rubbery. The noodle dishes were decent, but nothing memorable. The Tom Kha soup tasted very "farang" -- it lacked the aromatics, heat, and depth you expect from authentic Thai cooking. So good! We had the crab rangoons, tom ka hot pot, drunken noodles, and volcano shrimp. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The only thing I wouldn't order again was the volcano shrimp. It was a beautiful dish with a yummy sweet chili sauce but the shrimp was too heavily breaded for our liking. Everything else we ordered was spot on. Food had large portions bloated with rice.Fried rice had very little flavor no green onion in it. The pork pineapple was bland ,meat was slimy not much flavor my husband hated it very disappointed. My cashew pork had a flavorful sauce. Vegetables were crispy. It was hit and miss. Only one waitress on a Friday night. Food was pretty good but the service was a mess. We waited a long time to be greeted at the table. We didn't get silverware and had to go get our own, we asked for water and never got it. The waitress forgot some of our order and even though there was more staff than customers, we piled our plates up and still no one came to remove them. I ordered chicken satay and chicken Tom kha to go. II asked if it came with rice (it's always come with rice everywhere in the world I've eaten it). No it did not. I had to pay for rice as an extra for my soup. When I got home it was not tom kha in my sack, it was what looked like clear beef bullion. I called them and they said drive back and we'll have the tom kha with chicken ready for you. I did. The soup was not ready When I arrived. I had to explain to two people I had ordered tom kha with chicken. they gave me another sack. When I got home it was a container of coconut milk with many mushrooms. No chicken but also no lemon grass, galanga, peppers or and of the other herbs that go into the soup.Coconut milk straight out of the can. I thought at least i have the chicken satay. The peanut sauce was like water with chopped up peanuts in it. the chicken was so rubbery it was totally inedible. I called back again and the cashier told me she would call me back and refund me. no one calked back, so I did.The chef says that's the way you ordered it. No tefund. As with any other restaurant opening, it starts with what works and what doesn't, and with room for adjustments and improvements. I do appreciate this restaurant opening in Kalispell & the new staff that came in to help it open because, as many MT locals know, we don't have good cultural food. Thai cuisine is one of my absolute favs to eat. Although I do love my papaya salad, sadly, it is not on the menu. The first time we ordered out for dinner, we ordered the eggplant pork, basil duck, pad gra praw & white rice...& my whole family devoured it all!! The dishes sent me closer to home. The other time we dined in, the environment wasn't conducive to me. It was more of a fast-food chain than a dine-in place. The dishes need to be updated. If you want outsiders to experience Thai cuisine, at least make it feel that way in the restaurant; pictures won't cut it. The sitting, plating, and the employee uniform should be Thai wear. Teach the staff to say hello and/or thank you for coming in in Thai. One thing I was disappointed about was that they didn't have Thai sauces sitting in the center of the table. The first server we had was in training (Emma), and she was terrific. We also had Charles & Missy, who were both excellent. Overall, I hope to see improvements at this restaurant and that they continue to make it better rather than settling, as this town is growing and more restaurants are coming in to compete. Overall, I recommend this place, but if you have been here and were disappointed the first time, I hope you try them again. Hopefully, they make enough changes to make you want to come back! read more
