Ordered medium tai pho, upon arrival didn't get any herbs, sprouts, basil or jalapeño, had to ask twice because each plate had the most minimal amount, don't serve pho if you can't provide all accompaniments of a dish and given you are repping you carry in your own name!! I was definitely forgotten about, no napkins, no utensils, no water had to ask for all of them. The best part was I was right in between the kitchen and host stand so I got to hear the servers complain about their schedule, being over worked, and an American server trying to explain to a Vietnamese lady what veggies and herbs need to go on a plate for pho. We just had lunch at Pho 88 here in Grand Junction. We've driven by it many times - it used to be a Schlotzky's - and were meaning to try it. I had the steak and rice noodles off the kids menu (for under 12 or over 60). It was really good. Also very good egg rolls. The server offered me free hot green jasmine tea. Very nice on a cold rainy day here today. And we liked the Maggi sauce better than the soy sauce we're used to. I'm sure we'll try it for dinner sometime. read more

Wonderful Vietnamese soup but the service was PHO-KING terrible. They sat us at a dirty table, and we saw our waitress two times; once when our butts barely hit our seats she asked if we were ready, then again when she took our order and then never saw her again. The Pho has very good flavor; however, after 6 visits since they opened, I can say we are not impressed with the overall service or food. The prices are high for what you get, especially for the boba drinks. We were really excited for them to open and wanted to be patient as they were a new restaurant. Each visit has been increasingly disappointing and today was by far the worst as far as service. Multiple tables had to go up to the counter and ask for their drinks, food, and checks after being forgotten for extended periods. I don't see us eating here again, it is really too bad that they haven't been getting better. read more

Delicious boba I loved the boba with jelly in it. I'm sad I live in a place where I can't find this stuff!!!so I will drive 1 1/2 hours just for this stuff! I have eaten at pho 88 many times and I have not been disappointed. The service when they first opened was chaos but very friendly. Now, the service is fast and the food is fresh and very tasty. We had never eaten there before we had lunch, today. It was really good, no complaints about the food or the service. We missed something on the menu that said weekend lunches are dinner sized and you get charged $3. extra for that. Personally, I think that's a bad business practice. If you serve lunch, it should be priced the same way...unless someone WANTS the dinner size on a Saturday at noon. I'll go back, for sure, but lesson learned. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. Today after working 10 hours in the 100 degree sun, my Husband and I decided to "treat" ourselves with Pho 88. However after waiting for 40 minutes and watching two groups of people being served before us when they came in 20 minutes after us. When asking our waitress where our food was she says " I don't know let me look" 20 minutes passes and still no sight or mention of food.... Frustrated when my husband asked where our food was and that we had been waiting for 40 minutes and 2 different groups that came in after us was served before us. Then why my husband said he was hungry and quite literally dying of Stage 2 stomach Cancer and he laughed in my husband's face!!!!! Laughed!!!!!! Then he insisted we paid for our drinks or else..... So we just paid and left... We should have been home and in bed by now but instead we are eating at IHOP.... Not to mention watching the waitress pick paper off the floor and set it on the serving counter before bagging to go food..... The floor while the delta variant is on the rage!!!! . Delicious and friendly service only 8 days after opening! The first week of training employees is always to be avoided when new restaurants open but we were there after lunch and it was still a good crowd. We had the P1 and noodle bowl no meat. Worst dining experience I've ever had in grand junction. 3 appetizers and 5 bowls of soup and it took an hour to get. The food trickled in.
