TL;DR: Inconsistent and mediocre. I don't know what the deal is at this Jimmy John's, but it must be an awful place to work because all the employees act like they are on suicide watch. The person at the register puts on this saccharine fake tone while trying to impede you from getting your sandwich made how you like it, then mutters under their breath as you walk away. FYI: customers can hear everything you say back there. I'm sorry your GM or franchise owner or whomever makes you work an erratic unpredictable schedule, but please don't take it out on the customer. My main complaint is just a lack of consistency and a total lack of a kid's menu. I've never been to a Jimmy John's with slow or terrible service, nor have I been to one that had food that varied from the standard chain fare. This one had the usual, with fast service, fairly helpful staff, and the decent sandwiches. Really, the only thing that always gets to me about the restaurants in the chain is they always seem to have a distinct lack of sitting space. Perhaps this goes along with their mantra "Super freaky fast", and they just expect you to bolt down your food standing up while rushing for the door. Which is nothing new for people like moms, nurses, and other people who never have a chance to sit and eat their food, but sometimes, you just like to sit and relax, and not have to rush through your food like it's going out of style in the next ten minutes. In other words, don't expect sitting space if you get here during a rush. Or, if you do get there and there's a lack of seating, you could probably go in the bathroom and enjoy yourself there. They have surprisingly nice, roomy restrooms at this particular restaurant. read more

Tend to stay away from chains, especially when I am traveling on business; however, I opted to try it out becuase I was on a tight schedule & the location was close to the office. None of the staff were rude, but they weren't friendly at all. No one greated me nor did I see anyone smile! They didn't seem to have a good work flow. I ordered a sandwich without tomato & I feel like it threw them off. Didn't like the mayo, plus they put way too much on my sandwich. Threw over half of it away and decided to leave. Called Sunday evening and placed an order for delivery. After listening to their commercials all the time, I was surprised by the SUPER SUPER SLOW guy taking my order! I almost thought it was a parody of the commercial, but alas, it was just a really slow guy. About 5 minutes after hanging up, he called me back and told me that they don't deliver to The Redlands of Grand Junction. I can see their store from my front yard. It can't be more than a 10 minute drive!! But, nope. They wouldn't deliver to us. Additionally, my debit card is still showing the charge. They said it can take a week to get a credit and it's only been a couple days, but I'd still like it off. So... if you live within walking distance, I guess, they'll deliver, but why would you need them to do that? read more

Good food, very fast. A couple times my sandwich was done before I even go to the fountain to fill my cup. They have a 5 or 10 mile radius for delivery. Get there early if you want to sit down, because seating is VERY limited in the store, only 7 tables, 3 of which are two person tables. read more

Was excited to jimmy johns for the first time with my mother saying she likes Subway, but I said we have never tried it maybe it would be good. don't waste your time and money. I told the guys I dragged my mom from Subway so we could try them for a first of what I thought be the first of many. I asked for a the beach club,specifically ask for no cucumbers. Sat down and cucumbers,and look at the pictures of the sub evidently they must have ran ot of guac. So nicely I talked to the manager, normally I would just eighty six the cucumbers myself never mentioning it, but after looking I honestly thought hey maybe they just were in a hurry and I got shorted on the gaucomole. I politly asked the manager, said his name was Brian. I also as well as my mom askd for more mayo, with a smug look on his face he said we already put mayo on it. I said I know but I would like a packet of mayonnaise to. That was the begging of the worst example of how to treat a customer. He was copping an attitude over getting me a packet of maynaise, of then I asked him that maybe I got allitle less gaucomole than was normally there. As I was discussing with Brian surely he could put a little more on there. Now here any mansger knowing its our first time eating here and the fact they screwed up my order would of been ya sure maybe Jimmy Johns could afford the extra teaspoon of gauc. As we were discussing this he says no they all come with the same amount,as he makes two subs with guac three times my amount. Now I'm pissed but he claims there all the same. I observered him measuring ohh nevermind he just puts it on with a spatula, how are the all the same when you just eyeball it . like a five year old after being caught red handed I called him on it and said put my sub next to the sub you just made and tell me that's the same. At this point any manager would have already put the proper amount on and satisfy two new customers So I told him if this is come to this keep and give me my money back keep your sub , this guy is such a juvenile he ignores me and dose not ever get my or any ones else bussines but if you wanna be pay 7.00$ and want to slug a manager that provides the worst customer service I ever seen in almost 40 years have a try at a sub that so reminded me of the subs you got in the brown bags that's your spot. I really like Jimmy John sandwiches and I don't often write poor reviews. I have used Jimmy John's catering service (2502 Highway 6&50) on several occasions for a wide range of meetings and events. Unfortunately, they have completely dropped the ball the last two times I have used them. Recently my delivery was 35 minutes late to the lunch meeting (embarrassing!). I thought I would give them a second try and I placed a delivery order with them. I received a call (30 minutes prior to when the food was suppose to be delivered) asking for my address. I had already given them my address along with the payment when I placed the order. They then informed me that they don't deliver to my location (something that they should have informed me when I placed the order). Keep in mind that this is the same location that they have delivered to in the past. I was in the middle of preparing the logistics for a large corporate board meeting. I had to drop everything and run pick-up my own 'delivery' order. They were still making my sandwiches when I walked in the door (by this time the food was already suppose to be at my location!) The staff didn't seem to be focused on my order as they were joking amongst themselves (Manager included). The environment changed the moment they realized I was there to pick-up the order. I addressed my concerns and their track record with the General Manager. She didn't seem to be the least bit concerned about why I was in the situation I was in. Then I noticed that they charged me taxes when I provided them with my tax exempt information (which still remains unresolved). I arrived late to my own meeting. I don't know if there has been a change in the management at this location but I really think the owner of this franchise needs to clean house! First off... the atmosphere of this shop is cheeky and fun. I really enjoyed the wonderful signage everywhere. But I didn't come here for the wall art. For this being the worlds best subs, I was really disappointed. I ordered the number 5, which is called the vito. I love an italian sandwich. Salami, capicola, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion and "real tasty Italian vinaigrette." I LOVE vinaigrette on my sandwiches. I will always order an Italian sandwich before all others. I was excited. Upon ingesting, I found that the bread was indeed tasty. But, if I wanted only tasty bread I'd go to a nice bakery and buy a loaf of french bread to chow down on like popcorn. The amount of meat on my sandwich was deplorable. Very little. The tomato was hard and unripe, the lettuce was overly plentiful and above all.... I tasted little to NO "real tasty Italian viaigrette." It was very disappointing. I wish I had taken a picture of my sandwich, to help illustrate my disappointment. Sorry Jimmy Johns in Grand Junction. It wasn't the worlds best subs. Wich Wich is SOOO much better. Wowed me on the first visit. I even like Blimpy and Subway.... but so far Wich Wich is the best. On leaving the restaurant, I almost got hit by a delivery driver on my motorcycle as he cut the corner sharply at significant speed in the parking lot (gotta be fast you know...). I say what the hell and he blurts out some obscenity. I call the store and they defend their driver because the sun may have been in his eyes. Really?
