I can't say that I would come back. It's waaay overpriced. My husband got the hot chicken sandwich and I got the Caesar salad, 2 drinks... $42 with tip. The hot chicken was I suppose a description of the temperature and not the spicyness because the sandwich was sweet and very mustardy. The chicken Caesar was disappointing and I had to get my own sugar and lemon from the drink stand, so I really don't know why there is a waitress or why I had to tip her. We walked in thinking it was a deli... because it says it's a deli, but you can't walk up to the counter and order a sandwich like one would in that type of establishment. You have to sit at a table and be waited on. I hate to advocate for the elimination of a position, but this place would just be so much better without the waitress. The potato salad also tasted rancid and when we mentioned it, nothing was done about it. No refund, no replacement. Just, "ok, we'll check it." There's a food truck down the street called Two Forks. It is much much much better and has better prices. Sorry Capitol Deli, but you aren't going to make it if you keep this up. read more

Not only are the sandwiches well made with Boars Head products, the service is exceptional, friendly and helpful. I'm pretty dissatisfied right now. I ordered fried zucchini and, instead of being told they were out, instead of being offered a refund for an item I ordered and did not receive, they gave me a bunch of sweet potato fries. I'm allergic to sweet potatoes. So I paid for an item I can't eat and I was given absolutely no choice in the matter. That's no way to do business. Two thumbs down. read more

Nice find! Being from Chicago & also lived in NY I'm always skeptical about delis that are not traditional deli places like Colorado but capital deli in Rifle was wonderful. I ordered a hot pastrami sandwich & got a pastrami Ruben but is was still very good. The pasta salad side was also very good. The pickle was not the size and quality you would get in Chicago or NY but not overlooked in Colorado. read more

Amazing service David had such a fun personality and really knew his stuff! Definitely recommend the wings! Super flavorful, juicy with a subtle kick. For being located in rifle their fish for the fish and chips were super fresh, crispy, and paired amazing with malt vinegar! And for desert for only 7.27$ an amazing cut of carrot cake that wasn't overly sweet and so far best in Colorado. What a great find!!! We were traveling thru and needed to get lunch, and this spot was a gem. The server was so incredibly friendly, and helpful! I recently had to give up gluten and he helped me navigate the menu and even gave me helpful tips for shopping for gluten free products. Stellar Food! We wanted a sandwich for lunch on our way home to Littleton from Moab and this was amazing! Amazing food and friendly staff every time. Daily specials are always fun. Personally, my recommendation is if you see chili on the specials, drop what you are doing and go get some. Havent tried anything that I didnt like. The cheesesteak is awesome, and if they have cheesecake when you order, you are cheating yoirself if you dont get some, even if you have to take it for later because you got so much food with your meal. Third time ordering takeout from here. Really tasty high quality food each time! Tried their lunch special of a turkey, bacon avocado wrap with potato salad on the side. No shortage of turkey! And the bacon is chopped so it made it easier to eat without pulling out a whole strip of bacon. I've also tried the grilled veggie pita with coleslaw. The grilled veggies were fantastic! This place has a small variety of food and won of the things I was loooking fowerd to was there chicken but they make all there chicken in the morning and leave it in a hot box and by the time you eat it for lunch it tast horrible but the won up side was the waters they had a good personality and seemed kind but the food ruined the night becuse 2 of the 3 people did not like there food but the 1 person who did had a amazing sandwich I will pop in time to time and see how this business dose but if they cook there chicken when a person ask then I think this will be a great place to eat read more
