This place has gone down hill! Our previous order had to be partially refunded because they forgot several sides- they even messed up the sandwiches and didn't put bbq sauce in the bag. Tonight, my husband checked the bag before he left and they forgot one of the bbq sauces. When we went home to eat, us sandwich was missing cheese, the brisket I paid extra for on my potato was actually pork. I was already irritated and then we were both lucky enough to find plastic wrap in our pork, so disgusting. Went to pick up to go food at 8:30- they were rather put out just having a customer in there. They also couldn't provide any fried items because they said the had shut the fryers off already. 10 minutes after picking the food and arriving home, everything was cold. I start taking the sandwich apart to microwave it and found a piece plastic wrap and the slice of cheese just crumbled when I tried to take it off. Called to pick up an order at 7:50 pm they supposedly close at 9. The man that answered the phone was completely bothered by my call and even asked how long it would take me to get there. I asked if I could get a side of okra and he proceeded to tell me no we turned off the burner. When we got the food we asked if they closed at 8 instead of 9 and they said "no we just ran out of trash bags." When we got home the food was cold and was the scraps of everything left over. My parents love to frequent this place when going through town so they brought me here today for lunch. It did not disappoint. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was massive. Could be shared with 2 people. I had the green beans as a side and they were very heavily peppered which didn't bother me but might affect someone's decision if they don't like pepper. TL;DR: Small cold portions served on a sheet pan. Terrible customer service. Avoid. There is a kid cosplaying that he's a redneck behind the counter. Every time he opened his mouth some stupid fake Southern accent and cheesy insult would belch forth from his prison goatee. In his best Deliverance voice: "I'm gunna chop yer meat now, boy heehee" *loudly bangs tiny portion of meat on cutting board with dull knife to make it edible due to gristle - dramatically dumps shreds of cold dry meat on sheet pan muttering something about tourists* "We ain't go nomo rolls". No offer to sub the roll for a side or another starch, just a dismissive pissy hand wave after he got my money. The other guy working the register was cringing, and looked down sheepishly when I commented. I genuinely felt sorry for him having to deal with his disgruntled co-worker for eight hours. I don't know if he's related to the owner or if he genuinely resents the customers or whatever, but his personality was abrasive enough to send me to Rib City from here on out. read more

Dickey's simply isn't good BBQ. Reheated smoked meat is poor form, and if a place is serving multi-day old smoked meats, then it's not an authentic BBQ joint, or at least not one that takes any pride in their product. We shared a three meat combo, with turkey, chicken, and pulled pork, along with jalapeno beans and coleslaw. The turkey / chicken is cubed in 3/4" irregular cubes, and almost fall-off-the-bone, except there is no bone, so it's just falling apart, cubed mushy meat. The pulled pork was clearly reheated, or had been sitting in a warmer for days; it was greasy and grey, like it was microwaved. Sad little pork :( Even the sauces were mediocre. For sides, the colelaw was diced cabbage with Marzetti coleslaw dressing. The beans were the only redeeming quality of the meal. We would have rather had Subway than here, unfortunately. I usually LOVE Dickey's so I was thrilled to find there was one a couple of towns over from me. Went to this one on a Friday night and it appears understaffed. Took longer to get through line. Sweet tea was completely out and when I asked if they had more or could make more they were just like "nope." Asked for fried okra when I ordered, but they didn't drop the okra in the fryer until I paid, adding to the delay while waiting for the okra to cook. Whoever owns or runs this one: you need to do better. read more

Recently had the Dickey's Barbecue at an event they catered and it was very good. The meat, both ribs and brisket were melt in your mouth. The delivery was on time, set up efficiently and there was more than enough food per person to make even the hungriest men happy. read more

If you want a nice family place with super good meat, here's your stop. It's pretty self service here, with a tall counter, so be prepared if your small. But they truly are super friendly here with large and durable cups toy can keep. When I'm to lazy to make dinner for the family but don't want to feed them proces I go here. I've eaten at this place a half dozen times since they've open hopping they'll get their stuff together. However, I'm still not impressed. I've eaten at other Dickeys and have really enjoyed their model but the service is so poor at this particular location I don't think I'll be going back. The last time I was there the staff was unorganized clearly stressed out which made for a very uncomfortable experience. Also, it took almost a half hour to get my food because they completely stopped serving people in line to put together a take out order. They had two people working on this one order while the guy at the cash register was standing there doing nothing. I don't think the staff has received any training. read more
