Our group stopped in for lunch this week, because we were craving some good Thai food. It is tucked away from other main areas for restaurants, but easily accessible from the downtown area. The inside feels nice and open with very high ceilings and many tables. We were greeted and seated promptly. The hot pot tables have individual burners so that everyone can handle their own dishes instead of having to share one pot. This is a huge plus from other hot pot places we have been. There are two food menus - hot pot and Thai. We decided on Thai that day, but we will 100% be back to try the hot pot. We order pot stickers, edamame, Larb Gai, Tom Yum, Red Curry, Pad Ka Prow, and Thai teas. Everything came out fresh and in generous portions. Every single bite of food was delicious! I am not leaving this review for the hot pot food. I am leaving this review for the Thai food that this place also prepares. I am not a fan of hot pot anywhere, but I am a big fan of Thai food. The lady that owns this business used to have another restaurant that I frequently visited. The food was absolutely fabulous. When they moved to their new location, I was out of State for several months and when I got back, I could not find out where she went. I finally located her at this new location with a new name, Smile, Hot Pot. The food is exactly as I remembered, and absolutely fantastic. I have eaten at every Thai food place in the Grand Valley and none compare to the quality and flavor that is delivered here. As I said, I can't speak to the hot pot part, but if you're looking for excellent Thai food look no further as you have found it. read more

We had lunch on a Saturday afternoon, was fairly busy, but we were seated immediately. The waiter was attentive and helpful with ordering. We had an appetizer, we split the 2 pork buns among the 3 of us. It was delicious! We ordered 2 of the brisket, 1 shrimp, the large vegetable platter. For the soup, we ordered 2 of the house soup, and 1 spicy soup. The order came out pretty quickly. Each individual has their own burner to place the soup on, with adjustable heat settings. I had the spicy soup, and it had just enough heat. I think I liked cooking the brisket in my soup the best, dipping it into the spicy dipping sauce, although it was all very good! It was just the right amount of food for the 3 of us, we left feeling full, but not so much that we had overeaten. The service was good, food was good, and felt that the price was reasonable for the meal we had. Will be our go to when we are back in Junction wanting Asian food! read more

You get a pot of soup base/broth of your choice, meat of your choice, your noodle choice and vegetables. You can also barbecue meat of your choice at your table. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. I really enjoy seeing different restaurants all across different cities and states, and this is top 3 of my favorite restaurants of all time. For the price, I definitely recommend the all you can eat option. It was incredible!! It is nowhere close to being buffet-quality food, all of the meats, veggies and broths were incredibly fresh with amazing flavors. The all you can eat is perfect so you can try everything from the octopus to the ribeye steak, and everything in between, for only $32.99!!!! Which is a little spendy, but for the quality, the amount of food, and the experience it is 100% worth it. The could not have been better, we went at 6:30pm and were greeted and seated immediately with a smile and warm welcome, and both servers were extremely helpful in ordering, and even offered to customize broths to cater to personal preferences! The food came extremely quick, and throughout the meal the waiter often came by and would take our empty dishes to make sure our table wasn't crowded with dishes! It made a big difference so that we weren't stacking up dishes, especially since we wanted to try so many different things. I thought the ambiance of the restaurant was great, calm music, although almost every table was filled it definitely wasn't too loud, but it wasn't too quiet to be awkward, it was just right!! I could not have asked for a better night, it was more than just a meal, it was an incredible experience! I honestly appreciated that they had a rule on leftover food (16oz = $10 extra) which I think helps so they don't have to waste food, and helps so people don't get too much then they would eat. We loved it so much that for our second dining adventure here, we brought our friends, driving an hour from Montrose. They recently added AYCE to their menu option, which we were SUPER excited for. AYCE pricing is fair and affordable and honestly you will not be disappointed with the choices of meat, veggies, and seafood. The servers are so friendly and fun - they had our entire table laughing! This is a fairly new restaurant in GJ and it is the ONLY one of its kind. If you've never had hot pot, please try it. This eating option is great to have in our area. I shared an order of the pork belly meat along with our hot pot and it was plenty for two of us. There were four of us at our table and we shared a large vegetable platter which was also plenty. The spicy broth was delicious with the right amount of heat. I ordered the glass noodles with mine and the others ordered the udon noodles, both were good. It was surprisingly filling . One person ordered a serving of dumplings that was inedible, dry and tasteless. She also ordered an iced green tea drink that was very good. Her bill was about $25 where mine without the meat was $10. The interior was ok, seemed like a large warehouse made into a restaurant. Service was very good with lots of support on how to order your meal. I will go again as I feel the hot pot and accompanying foods were quality. Hope they figure out the dumplings. I'd give this place more stars if I could. It's a fun dining experience that you need to check out if you enjoy Asian fare. The service was exceptional and the food was so fresh and delicious and it didn't break the budget. The fun part is that you're in control over what makes it into your own cooking pot. Waited 45 minutes up front without any acknowledgement from the staff just to be seated. Then got seated at the only table with no grill and weren't told anything till end of meal that, that was even a option. Kind of pricy for paper thin meat & small portions.
