We had two kids with us, so we couldn't order anything too spicy. The japchae and mandu were tasty, but the lollipop wings deserved a stage of their own. Boy, were they delicious! Perfectly sweet and savory, with a crunchy batter that somehow stayed crisp despite the sauce. I honestly wish I could have eaten more. The portions are generous, parking is sufficient, and the staff were attentive. We'll definitely be back to try their hand-pulled noodles!

I asked for recommendations, although I knew I was going to get their infamous Lolipop Chicken. It lived up to the hype! While a tad pricey for one person, the portion is HUGE and I will have leftovers for days! The chicken was piping hot and flavorful. I also love noodles, and recently hand pulled noodles. You can literally hear them slapping around your noodles in the kitchen! I also ordered the spicy seafood soup, which was recommended. I liked the chicken a little more than the soup, but the soup was a large portion as well and very shareable. I washed my meal down with a Korean beer.

So I said why don't we try this place, it's closer to us and right by the other restaurants we frequent. The ambiance is so cute!! It's a smaller sized place but that really emphasized the personal feel. We were sat right away by our server who was very welcoming and friendly. There were lots of menu items but like I said we were craving pho and pho we got! There's only one size for the soup bowls, which would be a large at the other place we frequent. SOOO MANY NOODLES !!! And hefty portions of protein!!! The broth was soo flavorful and the dishes came out hot. I got the #6 and my partner got the #2, our bowls were clear by the end of it. My partner rates the pho a 7/10. Not to mention the side of vinegar onions is also LARGE and only $2.50 add on, worth it. The Thai tea was also very yummy as well! This place is definitely a hidden gem, we'll definitely be back! (: (food was so fresh that we ate right away without getting any pictures lol)

The Pork Bahn ($9.00) Mi was very good and enough for two people (today). The pork was more like sweet pork rather than sliced pork. The bread was delicious although very crispy, not for people with dental issues. On the other hand, perfect if I had no teeth issues. You can crush it but it will be messy. The Brisket, tripe Pho ($16.50) was quite delightful with very tasty, apparently, rice noodles. The meat was perfect. The spring rolls are two for $8:00, You will need 4 for two people ($16.00). However, the spring rolls were extraordinary today. A small and modest restaurant that did not disappoint us.

Everything was great. The salmon entree is two salmon steaks with a thick layer of crab filling in between. The top salmon steak was thick, but remarkably moist and cooked perfectly. On the right side of the restaurant is a bar area where you can get drinks/cocktails and order food. Someone will bring the food to you on this side. On the left side is the cafeteria style where you order at the counter and they call out your number and you pick up the food. Service is really nice. They have an extensive menu and they answered all my questions. We got fried scallops, which were big and juicy. Not overcooked! Paired well the sauces available near the door, and my favorite was a mix of cocktail sauce and the hot sauce. The fried oysters were my favorite though. We also liked the crab balls, and the Maryland crab soup which came with big pieces of crab. The sides of collard greens and Mac and cheese definitely hit the spot. The steamed Cajun mussels were big in portion and delicious too. We were only visiting for a short time but I wish I tried their desserts and chicken wings and seafood boil. The little bottles with alcohol on the side (rum punch , jungle juice, etc) were so good too. Those are dangerous, they don't even taste like alcohol! The food is super heavy here but it hits the cravings and the ambiance with everyone there is nice.

We didn't stay for the DJ, but the atmosphere was already lively and fun while we were there. We ordered margaritas, empanadas, and the octopus. The margaritas were decently strong, had great flavor, and were about double the size of what you typically get at most restaurants (a win in my book)! The empanadas were a 10/10! Absolutely delicious. The dough was perfectly crispy without being too hard, and they were fully stuffed with ground beef and cheese. I'll definitely be thinking about those empanadas for a while! Now, the octopus was my first time ever trying octopus, so I didn't really know what to expect. It came out sizzling and the presentation was great, and there was even a good of amount of shrimp (head on) on the side, which I didn't realize came with the dish.. It also came with a side of rice beans and the choice of corn or flour tortilla. The flavor was absolutely amazing. You could really taste that fire-grilled flavor. For the most part, the texture was good as well. However, the thicker bottom portion didn't seem to be cooked all the way through and had a very fatty texture. We asked our waiter if they could put it back on the grill, and he took care of it with no problem. Service was really great. Our waiter was on top of everything and got every part of our order right. Parking was easy, and the restaurant itself has plenty of seating. Although I didn't stay for the DJ, I have a feeling this place turns into a really good time later in the evening. I'd definitely recommend Salsa Brava, especially for happy hour...and I'm absolutely coming back for those empanadas!

I was finally in the area and got a chance to go in person and wow, the experience of eating the food fresh there was even better - although I must say this food does travel very well. I wish I caught the young man's name, who was the cashier, but he was great! He was very friendly, just seemed like a good, hardworking kid. I wanted a classic so I just got the gyro platter, the Greek fries and the soup. The soup is so good and reminds me of my favorite Greek place back home in chicago, I used to eat this type of soup every weekend with my family. Ingredients are fresh here and quality is always A1. The Greek fries are my favorite and a guilty pleasure. They are so flavorful and have the best texture. The gyro was also very filling and they really don't skimp out here with their toppings. I'm an extra sauce kinda gal and here, they really just go above and beyond without you ever needing to ask them. I wish I had a closer location in DC! The is my first review of November so I'm behind but will be catching up soon...lol But back to Mad…read moreCow I came on yesterday (11/9/25) around 1pm to meet up with some friends for Brunch. Usually with brunch we would do the bottomless mimosas and all but because I was driving I decided not to participate in that. And usually I would get chicken and waffles but I was in the mood for a burger. So I thought because their name is "Mad Cow" the burger would be the bomb...but nope it was not good at all. So I prefer a beef burger cooked medium with blue cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onions. When I burger got tot the table it was dry as a board. No blue cheese that I paid extra for and the burger was not cooked correctly it was cooked well done. Smdh. So the waiter brought me my blue cheese apologized about it and also gave me a mayo bottle. Even with the burger still was not good and the patty was so thick with no flavor not even salt and pepper was in it!! I tried their punch drink which was really good but for $15 a pop in a regular water glass was ridiculous. Make sure you don't get too tipsy as they already have like a 20% gratuity added on each of our checks no matter how small or big your group is which again is ridiculous! Will I come back...maybe only because I would like to try some Jamaican food they offer. But for brunch...it's a no for me!

Today, I gave them another shot because Uber Eats was offering a buy one, get one free deal on the jerk chicken meal. I chose rice & peas with plantain for my sides. The chicken was cooked on the grill--which I love--because it really brings out the flavor in jerk chicken. I also requested my jerk sauce on the side since I prefer a dry rub style over a saucy one. The only drawback was the small bone pieces in the chicken and rice. That's something to be cautious about, especially if a child is eating the meal. The plantains were also inconsistent--some pieces were hard, while others were mushy. On the bright side, the coco bread was perfect and the Jamaican rum cake was phenomenal. Whoever baked that cake clearly took their time soaking it in rum. It reminded me of the way my grandmother used to make it--absolutely delicious. I would definitely order the rum cake again.

Anyway, it's in a shopping center so Sunday best might be doing too much. I wouldn't drive back to the area for this place but definitely would come back if invited and was in the area.
