41. Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio
Dana T.

I was excited to try a Viet place not in Garden Grove, but this place made me realize that nothing will ever beat the classic spots. I got the Bun Thit Nuong with Cha Gio and it was very bland and underwhelming. I had to ask for extra fish sauce and drown it in the sauce but it was still so bland. The meat was decent at least, but they barely give you any. The egg roll tasted stale and flavorless. The service here is very off putting because the staff is a little rude and side eye you when eating. Overall, super disappointed and will not be returning.

Liz L.

Great food and fast service. I took my meal to go, but would eat in the next time. The pho broth is flavorful and just what you need. I added the meatballs on the side. A little pricey, but it was a nice splurge. I also had the spring rolls and those were delightful.

Amazing food! Pho is delicious, bahn mi is perfection, and the egg rolls are fried to a crispy golden brown. My family and I visited from Seattle and we are so happy we chose Pho 45. Our waiter was so kind and attentive. When our tired 3 year old was about to throw a fit he brought out a kids bowl of pho just for her without us even asking. Best customer service I've had in a while.

Grilled pork spring mushrooms: grilled pork is the same as charbroiled grilled pork chop rice dish. Packed with noodles, lettuce wrap and pork dish is savory and filling.

4. Pho Chin

One of the best pho spots I've been to. Place was packed when I came by so be prepared. Service was amazing from the moment I walked in and greeted right away. I ordered the Pho Chin, which comes with well-done brisket, and it was excellent. No complaints at all, the broth was rich and flavorful, and the spices and sauces provided on the side were the perfect touch. Once you're done, you just head up to pay, which makes the whole experience quick and easy. Overall, a must try if you're in the area and craving a quality bowl of pho. Definitely coming back.

This is my fav local spot for pho. I've been coming here for almost a decade & the quality & taste has been consistent for all these years. The best part is the broth. It's served hot (temperature wise) which is a huge plus for me. Nowhere else I've been to serves their broth this hot. I also like that they're generous with the meat portion, onions & green onions although you could always order more on the side. Their spring roll isn't anything special but always served fresh. My husband orders the shrimp fried rice whenever he isn't in the mood for pho. The fried rice is also nothing out of the ordinary but solid. The 5 star review is for the pho. Service is polite & efficient. Place is packed all the time but never had to wait too long. I'll keep coming back as long as I'm nearby.

Have been coming to this restaurant for the last 5 years and I recommend it to everyone in the area! 10/10 food and just as good hospitality and customer service! Food 10/10 The pho is delicious with a flavorful broth, tender thinly cut meat, and fresh and generous garnish. I've also tried their spring rolls and Vietnamese coffee both of which are also good. I would ask for less sweetness for the coffee though unless you have a big sweet tooth, but overall the coffee is nice and strong and fulfills my Vietnamese coffee craving. Service 10/10 One of the main things that makes me come back to this particular pho restaurant when there are so many in the area is their excellent and consistent customer service. The staff is warm, welcoming, kind, and attentive. I've never once had to ask them to refill my water because they're always on top of it. Even while writing this, they refilled my water! There was once when I visited and the owner was going around meeting and chatting with customers, something I've never seen at a restaurant before. Their hospitality definitely makes them a stand out. Whether I come in a group or alone, they're always extremely attentive and hospitable. Their whole wait staff works really well together. Aesthetic/Space The place is simple, clean, and modern. If you going during dinner especially on the weekends, there may be a short wait. Other times, you should have no trouble getting a seat. Food comes out fast and takeout as well! Will definitely continue to come back. I hope this place stays in business for a very long time!

A well-deserved 5-star Vietnamese pho restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious, and the prices are very reasonable -- that's just the baseline here. What really sets this place apart is the outstanding service. Every staff member greets customers with a genuine smile, serves quickly, and treats guests with real care. Other restaurants should come here and learn what true hospitality means. While so many places only focus on tips, this team focuses on people -- and that makes all the difference.

This is a local favorite for a reason, it's incredible. I visited on a Sunday night and it was pretty poppin as always, but not too long of a wait either (about 10 minutes or so). The service staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, the food comes out quickly (but not too quickly, I'd say 15 minutes or so), and the restaurant seating is comfortable and clean. Overall, great!!! Will be exploring more of the menu soon.

Egg rolls

I came to Pho 45 and tried the brisket pho, #22 cơm tấm, coconut water, and egg rolls. Everything came out fast--within about five minutes--and the flavors were on point. The broth was tasty and comforting, the pork on the cơm tấm had a great barbecue flavor, and the egg rolls were crispy and well seasoned. Honestly the best pho in all of Whittier and La Mirada. I'd definitely come back.

Clearly very delicious- ordered spring rolls, and 2. Pho Tai Filet Mignon

Love this place! Pho is very delicious :). Service is fast and efficient. One of our favorite places in La Mirada. Seated and fed within 15 minutes

Spring rolls
Justina C.

Was quickly seated by the servers and the food came very, very quickly. I liked the spring rolls, they were largely portioned and the peanut sauce was delicious. I got the first combo pho item, which has all different types of meat in it. There was a lot of meat and noodle in my dish, but the broth was not as flavorful as I would've liked. You have to go up to the counter and pay, so it feels somewhat hectic but very efficient.

Is this owned by the pho 45 In Garden grove also?

Unless they had a recent change in ownership, then yes. If you check their website, it has a Garden Grove location listed too.

Do you add sugar to Pho? I am on a Keto diet that requires me no sugars. Appreciate your help

Traditional Pho contains rock sugar. The level of rock sugar also depends if you are eating "north" pho or "southern" pho. Sriracha also has sugar.

The menu does offer Korean dishes but given the name of the place, we opted to stick with pho. In hindsight, that may not have been the best choice. The pho dish is being recreated by Koreans without fully capturing what makes pho special. Traditional pho broth is usually a slow simmered beef bone broth that's rich, aromatic and layered with flavor from spices like star anise, cloves, charred onions etc. The broth here was much more bland and seemed to rely heavily on fish sauce rather than that deep, comforting flavor pho is known for. Even the toppings felt incomplete. They didn't offer the usual herbs like mint or thai basil and just offered cilantro and bean sprouts. Honestly, the soup felt flat and lacked balance. Shrimp rockets were decent but the pho itself just wasn't memorable.

The restaurant is open late -- 9:00 AM to 2:00 AM Monday through Sunday, which makes it a great place if you're coming out of karaoke or the bars and want a comforting bowl of soup. As a Vietnamese girl trying this spot out, not bad at all. I appreciate them doing a solid job with several Vietnamese dishes on the menu. They even serve bánh xèo (Vietnamese crepes), which I always appreciate seeing because it's not something every pho spot offers. I ordered the #15 and added meatballs, and the portion size was generous. The broth is on the lighter side, but still comforting and satisfying when you're craving pho in Buena Park. xxxTraditionally, pho is served with Thai basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeños. At Pho 21, we were given bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeños, BUT it was missing the Thai basil, which is a key garnish that really brings the bowl together, but thats not a deal breaker. Still, I love how Vietnamese and Korean cultures both appreciate bean sprouts, so that part felt familiar and comforting. Our server Korean taller lady was kind and attentive, and the young short Vietnamese woman working there was very friendly I see her coming in the front sometimes warmly greeting customers! Thui?
