=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE My money's still with Pho Han (in north Richmond) which wins on price and taste; however, Pho 37 is close behind in taste, while winning on dine-in experience and parking availability. === 2. FOOD Special Beef Noodle Pho ($15.95) It's got a little bit of everything and the soup base is good - a little more runny than what is at Pho Han and so a little less flavourful too, but overall pretty decent. We specifically asked for no greens on top, but still got them anyway :) Charbroiled Lemongrass Pork with Spring Rolls ($16.95) Overall the meat was good and flavourful; the noodles are on par with other establishments. The spring rolls were different - cut diagonally and filled a little more than what may be found elsewhere - they were decent in my opinion! === 3. SERVICE Service was reasonably quick and professional enough in English and Vietnamese (it seems, given the staff conversations between themselves and customers). Our server was cognizant of our toddler, and so brought hot tea for the adults and cool water for my little guy. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's a small-to-medium restaurant with dark tones but it all looks contemporary enough to have been built in the last 10-12 years. There are plenty of tables for groups 6 or smaller in size. There's not a ton of space between tables tho, so those with strollers and wheelchairs may find themselves stay with tables by the front door perhaps. However, the shopping complex parking lot is plentiful and beneficial for those with a Tesla, as superchargers were installed outside relatively recently.

Gooooooodddddd mornin' Vietnam! What the Pho!? I know I know, please staaap! Pho 37 (where do I find 1 - 36? LOL) has been introduced to my life & I'll never look back! Delicious, fresh, fast, superb, you can Pho me up anytime! I see why people love this spot! Located at Ironwood Mall near 5rd & Steveston Highway, this area is busy but with ample parking. Pho 37 is a small restaurant holding approx 50. Very cool pictures & deco adorn this restaurant. The Seafood Crispy Chow Mien, Yellow Curry Chicken & Lemon Grass Chicken with Shrimp Rolls & Salad - excellent!!! The taste is truly exceptional - I concur! What solidified the whole Pho 37 experience - the Vietnamese Ice Coffee at the end! Order this midway through your meal & let it drip! All I could say was ... ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Pho sho!!!

Another not so hidden gem found in A strip mall in richmond bc. Been driving by this place a million times and never knew it stewed something special inside. The famous Tuan's Pho special. - now what makes this dish so special? Its the only pho place that i know that serves Pho this way. First, they stir fry some of the beef and then included it in the soup together with some rare beef. It gave the soup extra flavour. Next, before serving, the server said they sprinkle it with something extra to give it more aroma and extra flavour. After tasting it, im 95% sure its ground cinnamon. It provided an extra sweetness to the soup which blended well with the pho broth. Lastly, it also comes with a poached egg! Bam! It is very gooood!!! Tried the banh mi - bbq pork one. Wow! One of the best for sure! Their bread and the bbq pork marinade took it to new levels. The bread was crusty and yet soft on the inside. Not too thick but just right. The bbq pork was marinaded perfectly. Right amount of sweetness and smokiness. Filled with veggies and secret spread. Absolutely amazing! Easily in my Top 2 best banh mi in Yvr. The Top 1 on my list is in Victoria Drive..;) Service was quick and efficient. Excellent covid protocols too. Will be back for sure! Cheers! Happy eating!

It was a very rainy weekend so pho from Pho 37 was the perfect meal to eat to warm up my tummy. Came here a little bit before the lunch rush so we were seated right away. It quickly became packed when we received our food. It's always extremely busy here during peak times and the space is small inside with limited seating - I suggest to come here early or during non-peak hours. SATAY PEANUT NOODLES The broth is so damn creamy and full of umami flavours. Definitely not a bland or boring broth to have with your noodles. Sipping on this makes you feel so warm and full. This dish is what I enjoyed most and the portion is massive. Highly recommend. TUAN'S SPECIAL BEEF NOODLE This place is known for their 'charred' tasting flavour in all their broths and this noodle bowl had so much of that flavour in the broth. It's so good and so comforting to sip on. So much flavour and extremely filling because they really piled on the beef slices, beef briskets and beef balls. It also comes with an egg yolk that you can pop and mix into your broth/noodles.

Having heard great reviews of this place, especially of this OG location, and their house special pho - this is by default, a must go on a chilly Vancouver day. I've been told their house special Pho Tuan is like no other and it is a must try, so that's exactly what was ordered. It's served with a rich beef broth that's not overly oily, the meat slices are slightly torched before serving, which enhances each bite with a subtle aromatic charcoaly flavour (in a good way), to be mellowed down by the creaminess of an egg yolk plopped in the soup base. Overall all these flavours worked really well with each other! Note: portions are slightly larger than other pho places, a plus for all the good eaters out there! Unaware of the larger-than-usual portion sizes, we opted for a sugarcane shrimp appetizer. This could've been a meal alone, it's served on a vermicelli base, side of a mini salad, pickled daikons, and topped with two pieces of shrimp paste skewered with sugarcane. Overall I thought this dish could've been tastier if the sugarcane shrimp skewers were fried fresh to order to yield a crispier bite, this one was obviously reheated given the tougher / chewier exterior skin. Enjoyed this popular pho spot in general though it's slightly further away from the city. Would recommend the house special pho for sure!

Let me just say "authentic" is the only word do describe Pho 37. I had the beef Pho and noddles with some spring rolls. The broth was impeccable, the best I ever had! The spring rolls were lightly fried with excellent seasoning. The restaurant itself is really tiny and they kinda hovered over me until I put my order in which was a little uncomfortable. But I would diffidently come back. Sorry for only one picture I forgot to take one before I started eating!!

I also loved that they used dark meat, which made it even more flavorful and juicy. The spicy beef noodle soup was delicious. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the beef was tender, and the dish was very satisfying overall. My only suggestion would be for the broth to have a bit more depth and boldness in flavor. The pork soup dumplings were excellent. The wrappers were thin and delicate yet held together perfectly, and each dumpling was packed with a generous amount of rich, flavorful broth. Easily one of the highlights of the meal.

Reading the reviews…read morebefore hand I kinda of was expecting a wait; but there was no such thing as I got seated pretty promptly. They have rice and noodle options as well as a dim sum section on the menu. I ordered 3 items, A12 the beef noodle soup with beef, tripe, tendon, and thick noodles. The popcorn chicken and the beef pancake. I like the option that you get to choose the type of noodle. The noodles were nice and al dente and had a good ratio of all the type of meats in the soup. What I didn't really like about the dish was that the beef flavour was on the lighter side (had more of a vinegary taste) was quite subtle and if you like more veggies; your only getting one piece of bok choy. The popcorn chicken was good; juicy, nicely seasoned, and crispy. What I didn't like was the beef pancake. I should have listened to the reviews, but as usual; I had to form my own opinions. The beef pancake was full of sliced cucumbers, and barely had any meat; just a single slice of beef. I was shocked that the ratios were so off on this beef pancake. It was like 20% pancake, 75 % cucumbers and 5% meat. Definitely would not order this item again. Service was attentive, they had 3 waiters waiting around; and came pretty often (about every 5 minutes) to fill up your water. Overall, a decent experience. I'd come back again, but definitely would avoid the beef pancake. An upside is that they also take credit card, without an added fee Parking was very easy to find. You can either park on the street for 2 hours or there is a parking lot in the back. You'd have to register your plate if you want to park in the back, but my server was pretty adamant about getting that info when I first sat down.

Congee was good - the pork was nice and soft, the pi dan creamy. Won ton was fine - not as flavorful as the other dishes, but it hit the spot. We ordered the soup with the expectation that it would be in some medium-sized bowl that the two of us can easily share. The soup actually was giant and is meant for a family. Luckily, it was absolutely delicious; the pork was super tender, the egg fits in perfectly, and the broth was tasty. Every drop was finished. The braised pork belly was also delicious. Tender and fatty, I wished there was so much more sauce for the rice to soak in. I'm also a super fan of pork floss, so loved its inclusion. The side is also noteworthy. The radish soup was so flavorful yet light, and the tofu was fantastic. Everything we ate was five stars on its own. Only panic was when paying our server said they only accept cash or debit? We came at the perfect time since a line formed after we got seated The tea was served in a lovely big pot too, it honestly felt like I was in China again. I'd been wanting to try some Xian specialities: particularly liangpi and paomo. My group shared two liangpi (the classic and the sesame, these were around 8-9 dollars each and you could probably eat one as a meal or share with someone as an appetizer/side), a biang biang noodle in Xian pork vinegar soup as well as a lamb paomo. Both liangpis which are cold chewy noodles were flavourful and had a great texture (I think I'd recommend classic if it's your first time!) What blew me away was the biang biang soup, the pork pieces were generous and the vinegarness of the soup was very unique. The paomo had vermicelli and lots of soaked bread pieces and lamb: much more gentle and lamb flavoured. Overall, portions were huge and the bill came out to around $55 for everything which was more than reasonable! Note that if your bill is under $30, they only take cash and if over, debit is an option but no credit. I'll definitely be back to this spot ‍
