There is a reason this place is award winning. I tried Pho for the first time and I'm a fan. The service was okay, but the food was delicious. I ate the full regular size. So yummy! It's a cute quaint spot. I dined with a party of 5. It's near my job and I'll be going here for lunch frequently. It's right near Van Ness metro stop. If visiting, parking can be hard to come by in the immediate area.

Stopped in on a Friday early evening for a pre show dinner at UDC. Lots of seating available, I noticed many delivery/pick up orders during our meal. Service was pretty swift, despite the poor reviews I read! Everything was fresh and ample portions. Overall, a fine meal but nothing mind blowing. My dinning pal got a tofu bahn mi and I got a tofu vermicelli bowl. We shared the spring rolls that came with her sandwich meal.

This is the closest pho place near me! Their pho is perfect on a rainy day! It's a bit pricy than what I'm used to, but it's DC. If you eat a lot, I would get the large, but the regular is a perfect size for me! They have pretty good quality meats and their pho is pretty solid. Would definitely recommend going here if you live near the area! I haven't tried the other dishes, but hope to come back here soon for some hot and delicious pho!

Duke's Counter - Wagyu burger and elote.... Yum

Wow this place must be popping when the zoo is really lively! It was the tail end of ZooLights, and…read moreit was busy, but my friend and I were able to grab bar seats. A friend invited me to go on a little Duke's tour with her, and this was our first stop. They were decked out in panda decor and had a charming menu. I was mainly there for their drinks, but I decided to try their quinoa salad too. What a hefty, satisfying salad! The butternut squash, goat cheese, and pumpkin seeds were the highlights. Based on this initial experience, I'd be back for sure. Good happy hour too. Now, this location may be a little out of my way, but thankfully there are closer Duke's.

The service when we went left a lot to be desired. It was busy for sure being a weekend but not overwhelming. There were empty tables inside. Even still, it took forever to get acknowledged at times just to take our order. If we hadn't asked someone walking by for the bill, we still may be there. We had an app of fries and then my main was the burger with fries. The fries were great. They are those style of pub fries that are crispy and delicious. The garlic aioli dip was a great pairing for them. The burger was fine. It wasn't anything out of this world but it was still good. All the toppings blended well with the burger. I felt it could have used some more flavor. Duke's is in an unbeatable spot being right across from the entrance to the zoo. If you are looking for a bite right there, it's a good option.

This food truck, though, has. What to get: whatever she gives you. That's not just for this truck but general advice for life. Amazing service from a woman that really cares and will stuff your box (so to speak) full of all kinds of crazy wild food. The service definitely gets a 5. The prices and food are a 4. They are good but not amazing. You get a ton of food, including meatballs and drunken noodles and all sorts of other weird stuff. It's all good but none of it was like, omg wow I can't wait to come back. The Thai Tea Bubble Tea was pretty yum, but the bubbles in it were not so fresh at all. I'd have enjoyed it more if I had ordered it without bubbles. Overall a great experience. My first food in DC after driving non stop from Pittsburgh, where I had just driven to from Buffalo. A crazy long drive which ended in me eating a ton of food from this truck and so it will always be a really positive memory for me. But if you've already tried it and enjoyed it, then I just Sang to the choir. Wheeeeeelllllls... I better be going. I have to talk to my friends from Ireland, Scotland, and Wheels.
