The pho here is so good. The broth is very flavorful and meat is very delicious and tender I got the #8 love the amount of sides offered ! They have really good coffee too got their coconut coffee and I struggle to find a good one in the area theirs is perfectly sweet and not to overly strong ! We've been ordering takeouts from pho #1 for a while and mostly had decent experience. Today I decided to get an add-on of ox tail for $5, as a treat for myself. Yet when the food was delivered my jaw dropped - the three tiny bones they gave me were at most thumb sized (see attached photo). As a reference, all three were smaller than the sliced meatball they gave me. In addition, the parts they gave me were probably the least meaty part on an ox tail. I took a total of three bites and no more ox tail meat was to be found. This is truly disappointing. Was the inflation really that bad?! Or maybe you should pay some attention to your DoorDash markup?! read more

Pho is a fan favorite of me and my girls, but we all thought that this one was super bland and the meat didn't taste good. Noodles were also on the hard side so we had to re-season and re-cook everything. Probably won't be coming back. read more

Great Pho! The fresh noodle and the broth was top-notch. I ordered a #1 Pho which is combination of meats, which was very well prepped.

The food was okay, nothing amazing but fine for what it is. My only real issue was with the two servers wearing the same gloves handling everything - menus, portioning out the vegetables for the Togo orders, picking up the phone, cash register, delivering food to the tables, etc. It wasn't even busy so there isn't much excuse for it. It's a small detail but using the same gloves for multiple tasks doesn't seem sanitary. read more

Just your average pho shop in the strip mall. I ordered my fave Bun Bo Hue today. Service is friendly and quick, I had my piping hot soup shortly after ordering. The broth is not quite as rich as I am used to for this dish, but is still ok. They are not stingy in the meat ingredients! Also they gave me bean sprouts instead of the usual shredded cabbage that comes with this dish, but I'm ok with that. I would say food taste is maybe 3.5 stars, but overall experience is 4 stars. read more

I had to try this place because the overall rating is good but this place got quite a few low ratings. Some were specific to customer service, but others were for food, so I had to try it first hand. I got a pho and the vermicelli bowl with shrimp, pork and egg roll. I agree with other reviews that the pho broth is salty. I thought the vermicelli bowl was pretty good. I enjoyed the mix of fresh veggies but I only got 2 pieces of shrimp. This seems to be a standard pho place where some of the menu items are a hit or miss. The one thing that makes this place stand out compared to other pho places is that this place feels cleaner. I'd go back if I were in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. read more

Can I give -1 stars? A previous visit I ordered tendon with rare steak to go. It was all tied up nicely. I get home and there is no tendon and the rare steak is actually cooked.... like a roast beef sandwich meat just tossed in. The next visit: I dined in the restaurant. The food was acceptable, but they worked really hard to short change me. I wanted to pay cash and asked for a receipt. Then they pretended like they were having a hard time drawing up a receipt. A pho with tendon and rare steak was supposed to be 14.95 and then $16.31 after tax. I paid $50.31 and then put a dollar in the tip jar. They gave me back $31. I then said it was wrong change and asked for a receipt. They didn't give me a receipt (which would show a paid balance.) instead they gave me a summary of the cost. I showed them that they only gave me 31 and I should get back more change. They then gave me another 2 dollars. That means they gave me back a total of $33. I didn't notice because I assumed they would be able to fix this. So 50.31 16.31 = 34 dollars, not 33, so they still shortchange me a dollar after I brought it to their attention. They lost a customer for life. Summary: They short-changed me twice and didn't provide a bona fide receipt. Clearly they are ripping off the customers and the U.S. state and federal government. I hope they get investigated for tax evasion also. read more

We've gone to this pho places a few times because it's the closest pho restaurant to our apartment. Honestly, for all the options that are in the Bay, it's alright. My husband always gets the beef pho (#14) and I've gotten the crispy noodles with chicken. Today I got the vegetable egg rolls and the tofu spring rolls. Both were okay. The spring roll was literally just lettuce, noodles and tofu - none of the usual herbs that bring some flavor. The food is never bad, but it's never too amazing either. read more

At Pho#1 In Sunnyvale, the seafood soup broth was flavorful. Seafood quality was medium-OK except the fish balls tasted awful and should be replaced with better quality seafood. The worst part is that it was a cold January day with outside temperature about 50F and the inside temperature at lunchtime was COLD, which caused two problems: 1) I was cold and I had to keep my winter coat on while eating; and 2) the hot soup broth cooled to an unacceptable level and that ruined the taste. Upon arriving I told two employee it was too cold inside and to turn the temperature up. The female employee seemed irritated and mumbled that the heat was already on. The male employee was more polite; he said it was cold because the restaurant opened only about 20-30 minutes ago. To me, that is a poor excuse. A competent business would set the thermostat to be comfortably warm when the place opens, not 50 minutes after opening. read more
