Considering the price point and the size, it felt a bit expensive. To be fair, it's a specialty syrup drink, and I did substitute oat milk, so the cost makes sense. Still, I know other places that offer a slightly larger size for around the same price. My drink tasted a little watered down, but not so much that it ruined the flavor. I could still taste the brown sugar and toffee nut notes. I just wish the espresso flavor came through a bit stronger. On the bright side, I love that they use Califia Barista Oat Milk! SERVICE: 10/10 The staff were very friendly and charismatic, which added to the cheerful morning vibes... loved that! The barista made my drink fairly quickly, but I was also the only one there, haha. AMBIANCE: 9/10 This café definitely had a friendly, community vibe. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was a bulletin board and table filled with community resources, local services, pamphlets, news, and small business ads. I honestly love that. There was plenty of seating, with both group tables and bar stools available. The décor was simple yet cute, which added to the cozy atmosphere. PARKING: 9/10 (does not count toward rating) Parking wasn't as bad as I expected, especially since the café is located on a main street with nearby train stops. I appreciated that the parking spots were spacious, and there's also residential parking available. Today, I had a truly delightful experience at Philz Coffee, where I tried their highly recommended Mocha Tesora .The friendly cashier Natalie greeted me with an incredible smile, making the visit even more pleasant. Trinity, the barista, crafted my drink to perfection, ensuring it was exactly to my liking, which truly made it feel personalized. My Philz Coffee Experience Stepping into Philz Coffee, I immediately noticed the comforting aroma of brewed coffee. What stood out to me was their unique approach ! The baristas were not only friendly but genuinely cared about my experience, making it their main goal to delight me . It was clear that Philz Coffee focuses on personalized service, where every cup is handcrafted to order, moving away from a "coffee-producing factory" model . This dedication to individual customer preference is a core part of their philosophy. My Mocha Tesora Review The Mocha Tesora was everything I hoped for and more.It features rich notes of dark chocolate, caramel, and cocoa, with a pleasant light sweet base . The Tesora blend itself is a medium roast known for its caramel, chocolate, and buttery nut flavors, making it a well-balanced choice . I learned that for an iced version, Ghirardelli chocolate is combined with the Tesora blend for a truly chocolatey treat. My barista Trinity ensured the drink was perfect, demonstrating the meticulous attention to detail Philz is known for. The Personalized Touch The personalized service at Philz Coffee is truly exceptional. Baristas, like Trinity who made my drink, are trained to handcraft each cup and engage with customers to ensure their order is perfect . It's this dedication to crafting an individualized experience that makes Philz Coffee stand out and leaves a lasting impression. read more

Philz Coffee in Colma has quickly become my go-to spot for coffee, relaxation, and productivity. The atmosphere here is incredibly inviting. There's ample space to hang out, whether you're looking to read a book, catch up on work, or simply enjoy a leisurely coffee break. The ambiance is cozy and conducive to both focus and relaxation. The friendly and welcoming staff at Philz Colma are always a delight to interact with. They make you feel like a valued guest, and their attention to detail is commendable. Now, let's talk about the coffee. I'm a huge fan of iced coffee, and Philz Coffee consistently delivers some of the best I've ever had. Their iced coffee drinks are not only refreshing but also wonderfully flavorful. Whether you prefer something bold and rich or light and sweet, there's an option to suit every taste. My favorites in order of preference are the Iced Coffee Rose (absolute favorite), Honey Haze, Philtered Soul cold brew, and Mint Mojito Whether you're a coffee aficionado or just looking for a welcoming place to unwind, Philz Coffee in Colma should be your destination. It's a place where you can savor great coffee, enjoy a friendly atmosphere, and find your perfect corner to work or relax. Five stars all the way! read more

I love PHILZ and was so happy this location opened! As some reviewers have mention the coffee is very watered down, and I usually have to go get another coffee because it's not strong enough. The staff seem to mostly be happy but sometimes you get some one that has a sour face. I get it its early morning and it can be hard to wake up, but when you walk in you want to see a smiling face greeting you. The biggest issue I have with this location is hours of operations, it says they are open at 5 am but sometimes I want to order through the app and its telling me location isn't taking orders or they are open at 7am. This is usually 4 days out of a week. I wish the hours were consistent, and staffing was better. If you want to actually get a very good philz go to the philz truck !!!!!!! GREG makes amazing coffee and its worth the drive and wait. I would go if It wasn't so far away from my job, HES LOCATED IN THE MARINA!! read more

If you're looking for a spot to catch up with friends, study, or simply relax, this coffee shop is an excellent choice. They offer free WiFi, which is quite reliable, and there's plenty of seating available, so you're likely to find a comfortable spot no matter how busy it gets. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, though the arrangement of the furniture feels a bit haphazard, making it hard to pinpoint the intended theme. Their coffee is fantastic. My personal favorites are the Mint Mojito, Philtered Soul, and Honey Haze--each of them is a solid 5/5 in my book. The service is well-organized and efficient. They make sure to check in with you to ensure everything meets your expectations. Overall, it's a great place to unwind and enjoy a quality cup of coffee. read more

I went to Philz Coffee in Colma this morning and was treated to a nice surprise. There was a sample of the Pecan Pie drink on the counter, and you can order it hot or cold. I spoke with Gali, and Gigi who vouched for it, so I tasted it, and I am hooked. The cashier, Denise, was so nice and greeted me with a stunning smile.
