Terrible service and unsanitary. The cook was wearing his mask below his nose and his gloves were ripped. The cashier and guy packing the orders were wearing masks and kept touching their face. Great food... Expensive, but great... A cheese steak and a sandwich can set you back about 8-9$, but the cheese steak is the best I've had so far. The Philly's Best sandwich is just perfect when it's cooked at its finest. Occasionally I'll get one that doesn't taste as good, but I would think it's pretty hard to make a perfect cheese steak every time. When perfect, the meat just blends perfectly with the peppers, and the melted cheese just adds the right texture making an amazing sensation all in one bite... The fries are great as well. Now being a true philly boy I am always up for trying our "authentic" food in other locations. But Philly's Best is the real deal! They even have seats from the historic Veterans Stadium in the store and that made fee like a kid again. The food is gr8! These cheesesteaks r the best Ive had since living here in LA. First time here and was not pleasant. The worker and indian guy i believe was very rude. "What do you want" is the first thing he said to me. Turkey hoogie was jus turkey and lettuce and the bread. Hope the business is doing fine with covid-19 going on. I ordered through doordash at 8:40pm i live literally around the corner on lakewood and stewart and grey literally one minute away i was busy working from home so i ordered and DoorDash contacted me that my driver got there at 8:57pm and then canceled my order because they told the driver that they were closed, so i thought thats weird let me give them a call so i called a young man answered and i just tried to get some info i wsnt too happy about it so i figured i would just call the manager in the morning because to tell people they are closed is ridiculous right, so then i figured screw it im really hungry so i called at around 9:18 and asked the same young man who answered the first time if i could just place a phone order im across the street i could be there in 1 minute he said "no sorry sir we are closed" i responded with im across the street you guys close in 10 more minutes why cant you take my order he said he had to be out by a certain time and is no longer taking customers because they do not get paid past their initial clock out time. Either this company sucks and doesnt pay their employees or this guys is a ridiculous liar im sure hes just a liar, he also said "the grill is clean i will not be making your cheesesteak because it takes about five minutes to make" I then explained to him i actually am a Manager for jersey Mikes and that there is no reason too take five minutes on a 7" cheesesteak and if it does its no wonder jersey mikes is taking over. The young man literally hung up on me after i explained that to him he hung up! What kind of employee or even worse if he was the night lead hangs up on a customer that is just so ridiculous couldnt believe it honestly, he refused to give me his name which is not a problem, so i gave it a few minutes and called again to get his name i said "hi hows it going" he said "sorry were closed" and hung up the phone, took absolutely no time for a customer at all i really hope not all the employees are like that especially during this rough time where sales are decreasing due to covid-19 at all food establishments because you guys as a franchise are literally goong to be losing even more money if you cant keep the current customers happy. Horrible service!! My order was wrong and I called to talk to someone about it. The man who answered the phone told me that I was wrong and that I needed to drive all the way back to the store and give the food back to him. He also told me just to eat and that what i had received in its place was not spicy. I asked to speak to the manager and he told me the manager wasn't there. This Was the most unfriendly conversation I have ever had. Being told no after I paid money for food I waited almost an hour for is so unacceptable. I am shocked that this place hires people like this. After I told him I was upset over and over again another gentleman came on the phone and told me I can't get my money back and to contact the company that delivered my food. I really enjoyed the seating, they have some stadium seats to match the sports feel. I was a little bothered that I ordered a specific sandwich and then was charged for a more expensive one. The Philly cheesesteaks basically comes with no meat. They changed so much since I've been coming for years. Once you get half way through the sandwich it's just all bread.
