The food smelled amazing however it did take an excruciating a long time to come out. We honestly thought we were gonna have to go up and see whether or not they had forgotten us. It took so long once we got the sandwich. There was plenty of food and we got the pepper cheesesteak and it was good like the meat was good. The peppers and mushrooms were good, but we did ask for additional mushrooms and they're very little in there. And in the scheme of things, they really wasn't that much inside for the sandwich and it was definitely lacking insult which of course could be me. As someone who knows Phillies from Philly I don't know. I still want to try them out for other sandwiches, but I don't know about the Philly.

But I was in town with some time to kill, so naturally this was my lunch choice, and it did not disappoint. The ambiance of the place really sets the tone, and those coney dogs with meat sauce and onions just hit the spot perfectly. Nothing has changed in 40 years, save the price maybe. They still give you a card from a standard deck of cards to represent your order number when your food is ready. In my humble fat man's opinion, this very well could be the best coney dog west of the Mississippi. Prost!

The mushrooms were quite good and the burger was solid. My son had the cheeseburger basket with fries. I tasted some of his fries and they were very good. The board menu is a bit confusing. The area that describes the basket/meal deal is not as prominent as it could be. Moreover, the cashier told us that if we wanted to eat outside on their picnic tables, everything would come in a bag to go, but if we wanted our food in a basket we had to eat inside. It was a nice night and I was interested in eating outside on their tables. Why can't I take my basket outside? Are they afraid I will run off with it? I didn't press the cashier on this and just followed the rules and ate inside but it struck me as a silly rule. Overall, a minor complaint.

We ordered three burger baskets and three milkshakes, and the bill was nearly $60, which is about what I'd expect these days. At that price, though, I also expect accuracy. Ordering wasn't complicated, yet we stood at the register for around 10 minutes while the cashier struggled to enter the order. The only customization on my burger was a double cheeseburger with two slices of American cheese on each patty (four slices total), bacon, and extra vegetables. I've had problems here before with them substituting cheddar instead of American cheese, and unfortunately it happened again. When my burger arrived, it had only one slice of cheese and the extra vegetables were missing. The bun was barely toasted and appeared to have been run through a conveyor toaster instead of being grilled on the flat top. The fries were ordinary frozen fries, and the tater tots weren't anything memorable either. To be fair, they have improved one thing over the years by switching to fresh beef, and that's a noticeable step up. The burger has the potential to be very good if the kitchen paid closer attention to the details. Since we were hungry and on our way to a movie, I didn't ask for the burger to be remade. I simply showed it to the employee at the counter and explained that it wasn't what I ordered. She asked if I wanted it remade, but because we were short on time I asked if they could instead provide a gift card for a future visit. After we finished eating, she told me she'd spoken with the manager, who was working the grill. Their solution was to offer me a $1 gift card. A one-dollar gesture on a nearly $60 order after serving the wrong burger doesn't communicate that customer satisfaction matters. Mistakes happen. What keeps customers coming back is how those mistakes are handled. I genuinely want to support local businesses, but after repeatedly receiving the wrong cheese on my burger and then being offered a $1 gift card to make it right, I left disappointed. I hope management focuses not only on food quality but also on order accuracy and customer service. I'm not suggesting that people shouldn't go to Mike's. This is an attempt to help them improve their business and the experience that I have next time. Thanks for listening.

When it finally did, the employee asked me if the beeper had been going off, and I told her "No, it just went off for the first time, so I came here right away". She said that she'd triggered it a few minutes after I placed my order, and that my order had been in the warmer since then. I'll chalk this up to a malfunction. The BBQ was competent, but nothing outstanding. Ribs were properly cooked, and reasonably tender. They're dry-rubbed, and saucing them can be done by the customer if they so desire. Pulled pork was devoid of chunks of fat and gristle, which is always appreciated. Sides were on par with the mains. The best part of the visit was the friendliness of the employee.

I contacted the health department and report reported it. I also ended up contracting Neuro virus, which can travel from food and sources. I also cannot question it was anything else as my spouse also ate some of this food and did not get sick because she only had two bites worth while I ate half the plate. I tried resolve this issue with the food owner however they have been irresponsive so now I have to see reimbursement, For medical expenses within small claims court.
