Not exactly hidden, but definitely a gem in this rural setting...the food was fantastic and the prices definitely fair...a big, handmade burger, fries and 2 beers for under $20...I'll take it! Definitely worth the drive off the beaten path

Reuben and frozen crinkle cut fries

This had good reviews from many people. I completely disagree with anyone who says this is good food. I'm so TIRED of these restaurants taking advantage and giving tiny portions for prices that do not match the order. I paid over ten bucks for a skimpy Rueben and chewy hand made chips. Unbelievably skimpy for a sandwich like this! I also ordered a Philly cheesesteak. Completely wet right after picking it up. Bread was stupid wet. The person who took the order( I'll leave her name out) explained that is how their subs come out because their meat is so juicy. Incorrect, you sandwich is so wet because you have to use juice to cover up the over cook meat!! And this was served with horrible frozen crinkle cut garbage fries. Now little diners are usually hit and miss. Very VERY disappointed and for the money NOT WORTH IT!! Bread sooo thin I don't know how they call it a sandwich.

Happen to stumbled into this charming little diner last weekend…read more From the moment you walk through the door, the warm, friendly greeting makes you feel genuinely welcome. The staff was super friendly, great has small-town hospitality vibe. Since we stopped for breakfast let's start with the coffee, absolutely fantastic. Rich, fresh, and hot - and they never let your cup get below half full. I swear the waitress had a sixth sense for it because my mug was topped off with a smile before I even realized it was getting low. You don't see that here in Miami. The portions are wonderfully generous without being ridiculous. My vegetable omelette was loaded with fluffy eggs & veges, crispy bacon, and perfectly golden hash browns - and the biscuit! Love me a good southern style biscuit! Everything tasted homemade like someone's grandma was back in the kitchen looking out for you. Best of all? The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for the quality and quantity you get. I left feeling so FULL that my next meal was dinner. If you're looking for a cozy spot with great food, excellent coffee, and people who actually care about making your visit special, stop by this little diner.

Our waitress was a doll and gave us a history of the place. Real, honest-to-goodness trucker diner with that down-home diner vibe. Definitely a must-try if you're in DeLand.

About 20 years ago, my sister told me about this place cause she worked across the street from it…read moreand she went there almost every day. Even though time and time again I wanted to go I just never pulled it for one reason or another. But the other day I went and I have to tell you. Wow , if you want a good southern meal with southern hospitality a country kitchen feel like your Mama's homemade cooking. Filled with love in flavor. This is a place to go. My sweet man had their meatloaf plate more food than you can shake a stick at. It was delicious full of flavor and perfectly ,perfectly balanced .Their mashed potatoes ,Remind me of my mom's. They are made the way mashed potatoes are supposed to taste. The meatloaf perfect ,the fried okra just absolutely amazing and the ranch dressing to dip the okra in better than bottled . Then I just had the simple soup ,simple soup my foot .I had their potato soup and the Angel ( I think I remember her saying her name was Chrissy ) who made it , well I have to tell you. I believe when you sit down to a meal, you begin to enjoy it by the aroma of the flavors in the dish this soup when it was placed in front of me teased my pallet just from the aroma with the first bite I knew I was tasting perfection. It wasn't over seasoned. It wasn't under seasoned it hit every point on the flavor scale simple but delicious and extremely satisfying. It filled my stomach and my heart with warmth ,flavor and satisfaction. Now let's talk about the service we were greeted with kindness and a smile each server that we spoke to did more with a smile and a kind word and making our experience worth coming to the restaurant. The prices are reasonable large amount of food you get .The staff is amazing.. The ambience is very country very homie. It just makes you smile. The only thing I have to warn you about is if you are handicap and you are in a wheelchair, the bathrooms not so easy to maneuver. I had to leave my walker outside the bathroom to go into the bathroom, but they make up for it with having handrails for you to support yourself which compensates for the size of the bathroom. so just be prepared for that if you're a handicapped. Coming to this restaurant the only thing I'm sorry about is that it took me 20 years to get here but trust me I will be a regular from now on. The cooking the ambience and the people reminded me of home and what I grew up with perfect experience all the way around.

It is your typical diner breakfast food. I got the eggs Benedict. They let me swap the Canadian bacon for regular bacon, which I thought was very nice. This place is really classy and authentic and isn't your everyday ordinary Cuban restaurant. This place is great if you just want to grab a sandwich or you want to have a special date night and relax while enjoying a meal you won't forget. Tey have indoor and outdoor dining, and I noticed the tabletops are made from high end Quartz with gold metal flake and the decor and lighting sets the mood for an incredible dining experience. My first time here I ordered a Cuban sandwich meal, and it was absolutely the most incredibly delicious Cuban sandwich I have ever had anywhere and the service was top notch.

We had friends visiting and decided to come in on a Saturday evening without reservations. We were…read moretold there would be a short wait, which was completely fine, and we didn't mind spending about 20 minutes upstairs on the rooftop enjoying the DJ and atmosphere. Once seated, we were placed in the second dining room and ordered drinks, four appetizers, and our entrees. Unfortunately, from the start, the table was not properly set. We had no silverware, no napkins, no side plates for sharing appetizers, no coasters, and really no table settings at all. For a party ordering multiple appetizers and drinks, this immediately made service feel disorganized and inattentive. The issue became even worse when our entrees arrived and, almost immediately after, staff started stacking chairs around us at approximately 9:12 p.m. We had only been seated maybe 15-20 minutes earlier, so as a party of five on a Saturday night, we certainly did not expect the restaurant to begin visibly shutting down while we were just starting our meal. What made it even more frustrating was that these tables were already available when we first walked in, despite being told there would be a wait. Since we were entertaining guests, we thought this would be a great opportunity to show off the rooftop, which is such a great feature for a small town like DeLand and has so much potential. Instead, the experience became embarrassing and disappointing. Having staff stack chairs and place them on tabletops in the middle of our meal felt incredibly rude and unprofessional. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and made us feel rushed out rather than welcomed. When we asked to speak with a manager, the response we received was that "the servers have to go home." That explanation was unacceptable. Paying customers should never be made to feel like an inconvenience, especially while actively dining. With my own background in restaurant service and management, I found both the handling of the situation and the manager's response to be extremely poor. As a DeLand local, this was especially disappointing because this restaurant has been making improvements and adding entertainment, which we were excited to support. Unfortunately, the poor service and lack of professionalism completely overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable night out.
