Casual and clean with lots of cowboy vibes! Philly steak sub is truly delicious! I'm not a big fan of cheesesteak sandwiches but I'd definitely order one after tasting this! The beef is extremely tender. House made chicken salad is sooooooo good! Wings were decent. Breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Definitely worth a stop if you find yourself on 377 at N Tarrant Pkwy.

So, I had heard that Dave had been the original owner of another philly place in the area. Which I have been too but only had found out about that place after he had sold it. Then he ended up opening Philly Dave's. I had been meaning to stop by here because I kept reading on social media that they were glad to have Dave's open up ... so when my kiddo had a make up class during the day we swung by for lunch. My kiddo demolished his kids chicken tenders and fries. I got a half of a hot philly, meaning with the peppers. It was the perfect amount of food with a good helping of fries. Someone had to help me finish them. We got a thing of onion rings to try, and while both are good I'll probably get those with my half sandwich next time. When we have more of us in our group next time we go, we plan on trying some of their other items!

I have seen this place driving by and always wanted to stop and try it out. Today I did and my tummy thanked me. Let's start with the service. Dave himself took my order, with a side or humor and within a few minutes my authentic Philly cheesesteak and fries basket was delivered to me. Which brings us to the food. Holy cow was it ever good! Again, authentic and plentiful. Absolutely delicious. The place has a chill vibe and so the ambiance is great, with both inside and outside places to eat. One nice feature is a roll of paper towels set on each table (you will need them!). So, 5 stars from me on this experience. If you are in the area, it is 100% worth stopping in and giving them a try. They also have burgers, breakfast stuff and they even have a kids menu. I will absolutely be back to sample more of the menu!

Best Philly in Ft. Worth. There are tons of options to customize. The owners are very nice too.

I've been waiting to try this place since it first opened, but wanted to wait until the rush slowed down a bit. Arrived during lunch hour on a Saturday, the place was packed. There were maybe a few tables left to dine in. I ordered to-go, and it took about 15 minutes for the food to come out. You can tell the food was cooked as you order. Both the hubby and I went for the 10" Philly cheesesteak loaded with everything, and it was delicious! I can't remember eating such a memorable sandwich in a while. The sandwich was packed with savory meat. The seasoning was also perfect - not overly salty. I finished everything in one sitting. I didn't realize they serve breakfast, which is next on my list. Will definitely be back!

I was in the mood for a Philly sandwich. I saw online Philly Dave's was a good place to go for a Philly. We went for lunch to check them out. They had a good crowd at lunch with only a few tables left to sit. We ordered at the counter then sat down. Nice diner type restaurant with a help yourself drink station. The drink mix was a little too sweet, but that could just be my taste buds. The food took a while to come to the table. They only had one guy making the food. The food is made to order and like I said they were very busy. If you have a short lunch, you may need to call ahead. The Philly was very good I got the 1/2 Philly with onion rings. I really enjoyed the taste the hot peppers were a great addition. The onion rings were good, I would have liked more but they were still plenty. We enjoyed eating at Philly Dave's look forward to going back.

The first time i wanted philly cheesesteaks, i tried calling on the weekend. No answer. Next i drove to the place and found out it was a 45 minute wait for take out. I didn't wait, and decided to go during one of my off day from work for lunch. I'm glad i did. I ended up getting a small philly cheesesteak with a side of onion rings. I got a bunch of stuff added to the cheesesteak along with cheese whiz. Let me tell you, the cheesesteak was so damn delicious. The onion rings were also really good. for the price you pay for the 1/2 philly with side, i think its a really great deal. I'm not sure if the older gentlemen who sits at the cash register is the owner, but he's very pleasant to deal with. I'll definitely be back.

Best Philly cheesesteak I've had ! Delicious bread, meat and flavor. Authentic food, reminds me of when we visited Philadelphia! Would highly recommend. Also, owned by a very nice family. Always a plus to give nice hardworking people business in addition to delicious food.

So I saw all the hype on Facebook talking about Philly Dave's that just opened up at the old Stevie's Diner location. Everyone raved about the Philly's and the onion rings. Dave ran the Philly restaurant in Watauga and retired after he sold it a few years ago. We've been there and it's ok. It seems they changed some recipes and hence the reason they aren't packed like this. So Dave has come out of retirement and opened this new location. We stopped in around 6 on a Friday. The line was almost to the door and only a couple of tables open. They've done well redecorating from the previous diner. Thing fancy but looked like new tables and chairs. I really liked how they invested in very visible menus. Makes it so much easier to read. Dave was sitting on a bar stool at the register taking orders. This place was hopping busy. Every two minutes someone walked in for a to go order. We ordered two Philly's with whiz and onion rings. It comes with a fountain drink too. All that for $14. An incredible deal for dinner for two. Especially with this economy. We only waited about 15 minutes for our food. A nice young lady brought all The meals out to the tables and was walking around checking on everyone. Amazing customer service! Wow !!!! The Philly tasted even better than it looks!! They were piping hot and we even had to let it cool a little bit. It's so messy I had to use a fork. Get the metal fork because it's packed with meat and cheese and that plastic fork won't cut it. Omg it was by far the best Philly I've ever had. The onion rings were legit too! This is my new favorite spot. Oh, they're open for breakfast and lunch. Makes me want to try the breakfast now.

Not sure what happened to my review. But still love Philly Dave's. We haven't tried brunch yet as we keep going back for cheese steaks.

We finally made it back to Philly's Dave, and let me tell you, this spot is still hitting home runs. The food? Absolutely chef's kiss. The staff? So friendly you'd think they've known you since preschool. And Dave himself? The man is out here personally taking orders like he's hosting a dinner party for the whole city. The Phillies are the real MVPs--loaded, flavorful, and guaranteed to knock you out in the best way possible. These sammiches aren't just meals; they're edible hugs. Grab one, savor every bite, and then do what we all know you're going to do: take a glorious nap. Philly's Dave isn't just a restaurant--it's a love letter to comfort food. Go. Now.

Man, I wanted to like this place. I rated a 2 because I tried something new (chez whiz) which I did not like. That's not their fault. Service: I read the reviews before going and saw a few people speak about them being rude. Unfortunately, I experienced the sharp comments as well. I will say I have an auntie from up North and she comes off as rude a lot but it's just a culture difference. Being a business in the South though you may want to be mindful that a little southern hospitality goes a long way. She asked if I wanted utensils and ketchup. I answered, "Both please." Her response was "Being greedy aren't you?" So yeah. I just laughed because I was shocked. I did a call-in and her personality wasn't right for the phone. Very cold. I didn't have a long wait because I called ahead. Food: No season at all on steak. Peppers and onions seemed frozen or just not fresh at all. It tastes really bad. Couldn't eat half of the bread because it was soggy from grease. Onion rings were okay. No season though, so get a pack of salt. I will say the edible bread was good.

Quick Note: If you are in a hurry, this might not be the place for you. When we ordered they said it would be about 15 minutes but wound up being closer to 30. This was our first time here and we were quite pleased. The cheese steak, fries, and onion rings were very good. I got my cheese steak with cheese wiz and my husband got his with provolone. Both were very good but I think mine was better. We will be back but will make sure we have plenty of time.

Gustos Burgers N Stuff is basically a house turned restaurant and bar. You literally walk through the front door and walk through rooms. They also have a nice backyard turned into a large patio. Customer service was great. You order at the counter and when your food is ready they'll bring it out to you. The food menu is pretty small and simple. They have one starter which are the jalapeno poppers. It's your standard popper but they elevate it by glazing it with salted brown sugar honey butter. It is really good. I'm usually not big on sweet and savory combos but this works and packs just the right amount of heat. Burgers is their game. Smash burgers to be exact and the best variety in my opinion. They have 4 meat options as well as an Impossible Burger option. They come in single, double or triple meat and the price varies according to what you pick. First time here so I had to go with just a regular smash burger which is the Gusto Burger. I can't remember if I went double or triple, but either choice is good as one thin patty is never the move with a smash burger. It comes with American cheese (the only right cheese for burgers), caramelized onions, their house sauce and pickles. It comes on a buttered toasted bun which held up nicely to all the toppings. This burger was outstanding. I would put it up there as one of the best smash burgers I've had. Everyone in our party agreed. I went with tots for my side and it was a very generous portion that was cooked to perfection and seasoned nicely. I washed it down with a local beer from their nice selection of draft beers. They also have a nice variety of bottled drinks as well as cocktails. I am glad we randomly found this spot in Fort Worth because it was a solid spot to quench our thirst and fill our bellies. I will most definitely be back when in the area.

Right by TCU so it's obviously the place to go for a good smash burger that is reasonably priced for what it is. Service is kind and we got our food fast enough. The tables turn quickly but they basically have no time to wipe them down. I always love the Maine root soda selection. The smash burger is absolutely soaked in grease. That's even with two patties! As someone who loves a good smash burger more than a gourmet burger, I couldn't even finish it and felt a lil queasy. And I eat everything. The tater tots felt just as unhealthy and oily. It definitely feels like a place to use burgers to soak up the booze. Perfect if you're in college and when your metabolism can handle anything. If not, I'd recommend skipping it.

They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience. The onion rings were just okay. They and the chicken tenders felt like the only items that went straight from freezer to fryer, which stood out compared to how fresh everything else tasted. If I had one suggestion to take this place to the next level, it would be to offer a true build-your-own burger option with a full list of ingredients. They were very accommodating when it came to customizing their "designer" burgers, but having full control would make the experience even better. Also, while the burger meat was good, it tasted like it was cooked on a flat top. There is nothing wrong with that, but a flame grilled option with a bit of smoke and char would push these burgers into elite territory. Overall, great burgers, great vibe, and great service, with just a couple of tweaks away from being exceptional.
