Stopped by Phillips for Mother's Day to celebrate both my mom's special day and her birthday, and we really enjoyed it! Since the weather was amazing, we decided to sit outside and enjoy the weather! We started with the Oysters on the Half Shell and roasted oysters along with the clam chowder soup. It was my first time trying raw oysters, and I can definitely say it was a new experience for me! The highlight of the meal was definitely the crab cakes! They were packed with huge chunks of crab and cooked with a nice crust on the outside. We then literally walked just a few steps across to their Phillips Crab Shack to enjoy some blue crabs because you truly can't come to Maryland without getting steamed crabs!
Went to this Phillips location after the aquarium at the Inner Harbor. We had to wait 30 minutes and put ourselves on a waiting list. The host we interacted with was ambivalent, at best. Once seated, we ordered drinks and food and I ordered the fried catfish with fries and coleslaw. It was pretty good, but I don't think it was worth $28 dollars of a meal. The entire meal for 6 people and a baby came out to over $200 for what was basically glorified bar food. Though it was tasty, I think you can get a better bang for your buck elsewhere. We were staying at a hotel a couple blocks from the inner harbor and my husband was nice enough to make a reservation at this restaurant for lunch. I am so glad he did because it was delicious. They have plenty of great sounding appetizers, salads and entrees. We decided to go with three seafood appetizers. We started with the boom boom shrimp. It was coated and fried and had a delicious but spicy sauce on it. Our next appetizer was the crab dip. It was hot and delicious and came with two small bread loaves for dipping. Our final appetizer was the tuna wontons. It was three fried square wontons with raw tuna, rice, ginger, spicy mayo and green onions. We loved all three of them. Service was fairly quick.
Had dinner with a group of friends for his birthday, it was 7 of us total around 8pm on a Saturday night and we were able to be sat immediately. Our server was amazing! Super kind and patient with us. We got the Chesapeake crab dip for an appetizer, it came with some kind of seasoned bread which was delicious! Add some Tabasco for a nice kick! I had the Crispy Fish sandwich and it was unbelievably fresh and delicious! The fries were crispy and fresh. Overall loved it, its a nice restaurant to go to if you are celebrating.
Our experience at Philip seafood was incredible, our server was Ruslan-he was extremely courteous, very responsive, very professional and quick to bring us our platters. We enjoyed our meal fully, we ordered the Maine lobster meal for two and it was more than enough. Very tasty incredible experience would definitely visit again.
I was walking around the Inner Harbor when I stumbled upon Phillips Seafood. You can't miss the building as the signage letters are huge! There's an option to sit inside or outside, but I opted for indoor seating. My waitress was phenomenal. She was so pleasant throughout my dining experience. I was obviously craving seafood. I ordered the Premium Broiled Trio which consisted of lobster tail, the fresh catch which was Barramundi, scallops, mashed potatoes and vegetables. I also ordered a cup of the clam chowder which was on point! It was quite a bit of food, but very satisfying indeed.
My father was visiting from Arizona so we needed to take him to get seafood and at 8 o'clock on a Friday night after finishing up at the aquarium we needed up at Phillips. I've eaten here on the deck in the summer, but never inside. The inside is very old school classic restaurant feel. Lots of wood and black and white pictures. We ordered oysters, and the crab dip. The oysters were mostly okay. I wish they would've cut the abductor muscle instead of making my scrape my oyster out myself, and a few had broken shell in it. The crab dip we really liked, but if you're not a cheese fan I'd shy away. This is a very rich creamy and cheesy crab dip. My fiancé and father got the fried fish combo and enjoyed it, and I splurged on the captains catch. The lobster was perfectly cooked! Hard to find in baltimore. The snow crab was also cooked well! The mussels were okay, a little small. And the clams were good too! We enjoyed our dinner here, it wasn't our first choice of places to take a non native baltimorian but it was a nice time and we enjoyed our food!
Perfect stop of after the aquarium as it is just steps away. However, the restaurant is massive and they clearly can't even staff it. I went on a Saturday night and we had a 20 minute wait. A wait is fine, but when we were walked to our seat, the restaurant was bare! Maybe 10 tables out of 50 taken. In this places hay day, every table would have been taken and it would have been an hour wait. This was shocking. When we got our food, I understood more. The crab dip had gobs of cheese not really melted in. The cheese pull was wild but it was like gobs of cheese and then separate gobs of mayo/old bay. My salad was massive and the salmon was great. So if I went back, I'd definitely get my salad again, but I feel like that shouldn't be the show stopper at a classic fish house like Phillips. The one that will make me never go back, my son's hot dog was salty as all get up! My son is a picky eater and this possibly turned him off hot dogs for the rest of forever. So while the food was sub par, I'm now mad that they messed up a hot dog. It could not be more simple. There are still classics there. Back in the early 2000s, Phillips was the place to be and I still love their freeze crab cakes at the grocery store. It is sad to say, there are better fish houses in Baltimore.
I thought this place was alright. I vaguely remember the food being super salty and that was a turn off for me. The drinks were extremely sweet and juicy. I felt kinda like a glorified red lobster but I think I prefer red lobster. Their was a lot of staff but it felt like it was really hard to get someone's attention if I needed it. They have room for a ton of people and as walk in we had a wait for a table for 3. I personally wouldn't go back. I don't think the cost we paid equaled to the quality and service received.
When in Baltimore, you have to try the crab right? Pros We made an early reservation and were seated quickly (make a reservation for sure). Food was good, and pricing was clear. Other restaurants listed MP for crab cakes and crab legs, but at Phillips, all prices were listed on the menu. We ordered the broiled oysters, crab cakes, snow crab legs with a side of shrimp, and broiled barramundi. Prices of entrees ranged from $30-$60. The kid's menu was a great value at $7 for an entree, drink, and fries. It's a family-friendly restaurant for sure. Cons Service wasn't great. Our server forgot to put in my iced tea and the oysters. Maybe it was just busy, but she didn't come by to check on us during the meal. At the end of the meal, she came and brought us the check, without offering us dessert. She and another server were also complaining about their coworker near our table. I think if you're spending $200 on a meal, and tipping an additional $40, the service could be better. All in all, I would recommend Phillips, especially because of its location in the inner harbor. They also offer validated parking. It would be a four star experience if the service improved.
Outdoor seating was very nice. Customer service was good. Clean seating and facility. No complaints at all. Ordered the following: Spiced pineapple mule: 6/10 too much ginger beer, pass Crispy calamari: 8.5/10 wish the sauce had a little more to it but still pretty good. Battered and fried well. Crispy fish sandwich: 8/10 chipotle mayo had no taste. Fish was fried well, wish it had more seasoning.

Outstanding! The meal was everything I could've dreamed for... lobster claws and crab legs covered in Old Bay! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Our waitress was decent, not bad, but not the greatest. The weather was literally about 100 degrees and sunny, so a lot of people weren't on point today. It was fine. More of a tourist spot in a super cool building. We each had a glass of wine, I had the crab cakes, him a salad, and it ran us nearly 100$. Service was good, but probably won't find us there again. read more
When I tell you one of the best experiences in Baltimore, I'm not lying. Baltimore is famous for their seafood and this place is a landmark. Phillips seafood has been a staple in Baltimore inner harbor serving up giant seafood boils, crab cakes and crazy bloody Mary's! Service is quick but make sure you get an appetizer because place gets busy and sometimes boils take a little bit of time! read more
We came here on a sunny day this summer and sat outside on the crab deck, which was really nice! It's a bunch of picnic tables under some tents, so it feels sort of backyard casual in a fun way. We just got some drinks, oysters, and the crab claw cocktail appetizer, and the service was quick and friendly. The drinks were fantastic! I got the pomegranate blueberry margarita, bf got the mango daiquiri, and his mom got a crush. Seriously they were all really good. The oysters were pretty tasty, and the crab leg cocktail was ok (I think it was probably done well but just wasn't really my thing). Overall a nice experience and I would go back for sure. read more
Went here today for my first time. I liked that they have a waterfront view and had ample seating options. My boyfriend and I opted to sit outside. Our server was very friendly, but she didn't bring out my drink till I almost finished my meal. She also maybe checked in on us once throughout the meal. She did recommend the Tropical Escape, and that was a pretty strong drink, I must say. My boyfriend ordered the grilled shrimp and scallop combo with a side of the vegetables and corn on the cob. I thought the portion was quite small for an adult, and it seemed like a kids meal. I got the steak and crab cake combo with mashed potatoes and vegetables. My favorite part of this dish was the mashed potatoes. Those were 5 out of 5!! They were so creamy and smooth. Just delicious! The crab cake was also really tasty and squeezing the lemon over it really enhanced the flavor. The steak was probably my least favorite part of the dish. There was absolutely no seasoning on it, and it tasted a little funny. It did come out with some seasoned butter on the side, but it did little to enhance the taste. I wouldn't give this place a 5 star rating if i had any other server besides seymon. My mother and I sat at a table for a good 15 minutes outside before I walked up to the bar asking if I had to order there. Seymon was super apologetic and came right over to assist with our order. Chowder was to die for. I had the fried soft shell crab and when I got a box to go, seymon even gave me fresh tartar sauce and offered us to go cups because it was a hot day. read more

We were a party of 10 celebrating an 80th birthday and the birthday boy wanted to dine at Phillips. We were visiting from out of town. What a great experience. The restaurant handled a large reservation perfectly. The food was fantastic, the drinks were very good, and our service was excellent. A special shout out to Ayana C our very patient and excellent server. She really made the evening special. read more

Busy vibe on the inner harbor but food was solid. Two of us got the 8oz jumbo lump cakes and one got the shrimp/scallop combo. Shrimp a little spicy and scallops were excellent. All entrees were enjoyed. App of crispy calamari with spicy pineapple sauce was very good. Sauce was spicy but couldn't stop eating it lol. Aaron was quick, efficient and very helpful with selections. Desserts were great. Our favorite was the cinnamon bun bread pudding, followed by lemon tres leche, and coconut cake. If you happen to be in Baltimore MD at the harbor, stop at Phillips Seafood for good food, excellent service and a warm welcoming atmosphere. Our meal was delicious. The crab cakes were full of crab meat not breadcrumbs. Dessert was delicious but I had to take it home bc I was so full. Our server, Aaron, was a pleasure. He was quick with service and very funny and personable. We had a great time trading jokes. He was also a wealth of knowledge about the area. Stop in and ask for him. Also, I have give a special mention about Zay. He works diligently and keeps the dining area with great care. Also, Mark, your staff is wonderful!! Keep up the good work. read more

Came here for my daughter's bday after visiting the aquarium. I did street parking but did notice Phillips has $15 valet parking available. Lots of seating. Love that they have the outdoor area for crabs. We opted to sit inside. I wanted crabs but that's only for outside. Our server was amazing I didn't catch his name but he was friendly and fast. I ordered the soft shell crab sandwich which was very tasty. I added the fried oysters and they had some sauce onions and bacon on top which was a tasty combination. I do think Phillips is ok enough to try some Maryland seafood. My white sangria wasn't strong at all. Clean and we ate all our food. I say that's a win. read more

The environment was warm and welcoming. We came around 3pm with little to no wait. Natasha was our server and she was very attentive and kind. We got the crab dip with sourdough bread & I must say it was the best appetizer to start our amazing experience. My husband and I shared two lobster tails that were delicious and tender! It came with fantastic asparagus! (I wish I could asparagus this way!). Even though we got a tiny taste of the food, the experience was overall a 10/10 read more
The Best Maryland Seafood restaurant ever! We love Phillips! The staff is so friendly and the food is always amazing. Always start with a cup of Crab soup. Both the vegetable crab and the cream of crab are amazing. The Chesapeake Bay Crab Dip is ridiculous. You have to share it b/c it is too much goodness in one skillet. Pro Move...The bread is awesome but dipping their French fries is even better! The Ultimate Crab Cake is in my top three best crab cakes in the world. Don't let your friends order a burger?! The crab dishes are the best anywhere so make sure you try them all! I wish I lived closer to Phillip's! read more

This is a very convenient location if you are looking to eat while exploring the Inner Harbour or visiting the National Aquarium. The portions are huge! I wish we would have known ahead of time that the servings were so large, because we might have split some dishes. If you are a fan of food with cheese, this is your spot. read more
For a seafood restaurant, Phillips was surprisingly not that expensive. It was $103 pre-tip for two adults and one hungry little baby. The red pepper calamari was great. The crisp + tiny heat that came with the dish was a nice combination. The shrimp and scallops mixed well with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I won't say the dish was awesome. It was just a simple but well executed dish. The blackened Mahi Mahi was similar to the shrimp and scallops in that there was nothing extra. The dish itself was uncomplicated and delicious. The service was great. The staff took a soup off the check because the soup had alcoholic ingredients in there (my wife is pregnant). The staff was nice and attentive. While there was nothing amazing about our experience, I would still say the trip was good. read more

Dinner last night at Phillips Seafood, located on Baltimores inner harbor. It's a nice venue with a nice interior, but no wow factor. They also have outdoor dining. I ordered my traditional dirty martini and had to send it back. It was too sweet with floral hints. Obviously, way too much vermouth. For dinner, I ordered the seafood trio. It was good, and I enjoyed it, but again, nothing to get excitrd excited about. The shrimp was really salty. The outstanding aspect of dinner was the service. She did an amazing job. Stopped in for lunch -- I think they have a few locations...but this must be their flagship location as it is located in a beautiful spot on the Inner Harbor. I love crab and heard the crab cakes are a must try here...so I ordered the crab cake sando with fries...and let me say this did not disappoint. I immediately took off the bun and dived into the crab cake...topped with a light aioli. Man it was good. Barely any binders to the crab which is how to do it...the crab crumbles right onto the plate when I broke into it with my fork. It was what I was hoping for...I would skip the sandwich next time and just go with the crab. Fries were fine...nothing special...but the crab cake was A+...I would certainly go again when in the Charm City! read more
I noticed this place has a lot of low reviews but it's been one of the best restaurants I've gone too on my cross country food trip! It was cute inside but the shrimp alfredo was AMAZING. The service was good. The Lobster Mac was okay. One of our kids had fries and a burger, it was good. He enjoyed it. We also had the Maine Lobster Bake For Two. Definitely a lot of food but it's not seasoned. Don't expect a traditional "Sea Food boil". However, the lobster, prawns, and crab legs tasted fresh. Excellent even ( if you don't like seasoning). Do not go here expecting a fine dining experience. This is family style. read more

My son didn't like the Soft Shell Crab I told the waitress Ruby all he ate was the fries and a bite of the crab. Most restaurants would at least credit you some of the amount but nothing. Ruby did suggest some great drinks. Had to ask for melted butter for Lobster.....weird. The food was ok not worth the prices. The Oysters had sand too. read more

Aug. 2, 2025 All you can eat crabs....Excellent flavor, boiled to exact temp. Are the crabs fresh?
If I knew better , this would not be my first choice of restaurants again. In my personal opinion, I'd look for a restaurant more tailored to seafood and not a chain restaurant.
Are they still doing bottomless brunch? On the website it says it's inactive
I was just there on a Sunday and there wasn't a brunch option. Sorry, it would have been good.
Does the Phlilips seafood in the inner harbor have a buffet?
They have an amazing Sunday brunch buffet from 10-2.
