cinnamon bread pudding

Love this as a restaurant in the harbor. First off, I love any building that is repurposed because it shows the local history and charm instead of tearing it down to make some minimalized architecture, so the power plant structure is unique. There are tons of seating inside and outside if the weather is favorable. The service was quick and attentive. No bread though. The lobster mac n cheese was decedent and loaded high with lobster meat. The steak was juicy and tender. The crab cake was nice, but nothing amazing. I did like their tray of desserts display because it did help tempt us knowing exactly what the options looked like. The cinnamon bread pudding was sweet without being too sweet and nicely cut into two pieces for sharing. Overall, I liked the location, the ambiance, and the food options. It's hard to resist that giant sign outside. It's an icon for a reason.

First time at this restaurant being here for a conference. The food was really good. We had potstickers to share within the group and I had mussels which were quite tasty. The waitstaff were really attentive and accommodating. This is a pretty casual space that would be great for groups as well dining alone. It's well lit with a really cool decor inside. I like the chandeliers as well

We used to really enjoy Phillips and now it is just ok. The food isn't bad but it really doesn't stand out either. I went with the Fried Seafood Trio. The standout for this was the crab cake. The shrimp were just ok and the fish was the same. The crab cake was far better. The fries were mushy and not well seasoned. The service started off well but then we didn't see our server again till she brought the check. For the price Phillips charges it can be better. Try something else instead.

Lobster roll was really good, if not a little light in the lobster for $40. I liked that it didn't have too much mayo in it.

Food was solid for a very touristy area. The service was good, not great. Against, it's a place that is probably slammed with tourists all day.

I'm assuming this place stays in business because of its location. We visited family in Maryland and decided to take a trip to the National Aquarium so we stopped at Phillips afterwards. After we were seated, we waited an additional 25 minutes for someone to come and take drink orders. We didn't actually get the drinks for another 15. When the food arrived I was disappointed again. The crab cake was very bland and the mustard sauce didn't help much. The fries were decent. The calamari lacked flavor as well. The plate I left behind didn't look too much different than what you see in the photo. I also couldn't finish the drink - couldn't believe how BAD it was. It had the taste of an attempt at fruity medicine. The bad service continued when my aunt - who had to send her food back as it wasn't prepared her instructions and she has allergies - didn't get served again until it was time for us to ask for the bill. And it was still wrong. Needless to say, I will pass on this place every time I'm in Baltimore in the future.

Was in town and decided to do tourists stuff and went to the harbor to the aquarium. Afterwards, we wanted some crabs and decided to check Phillips out. We sat outside and the waiter was very attentive and accommodating. We opted for the crab feast and we got plenty of food for only about $140. I was surprised at how much we got, and everything was seasoned to perfection. Will definitely be back for crabs whenever I'm back in town.

Ultimate Crab Feast

Went to Phillips and sat outside across from the restaurant on the crab deck because we wanted to order steamed crabs. We ordered the Ultimate Crab feast and it was delicious! Sooo good. The presentation was amazing and so was the food. Service was good. It's a nice covered area perfect for eating seafood.

We had a wonderful experience at Phillips Seafood in Baltimore. The service was great from the moment we arrived. We used the valet service, which made everything very convenient and stress-free. The food was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Everything we ordered exceeded expectations, and the staff was attentive without being overwhelming. The atmosphere was friendly, not crowded and peaceful. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Great service, excellent food, and the added convenience of valet parking made the visit even better. I would definitely recommend Phillips Seafood when visiting Baltimore!

Fried catfish

Went to this Phillips location after the aquarium at the Inner Harbor. We had to wait 30 minutes and put ourselves on a waiting list. The host we interacted with was ambivalent, at best. Once seated, we ordered drinks and food and I ordered the fried catfish with fries and coleslaw. It was pretty good, but I don't think it was worth $28 dollars of a meal. The entire meal for 6 people and a baby came out to over $200 for what was basically glorified bar food. Though it was tasty, I think you can get a better bang for your buck elsewhere. Customer service: 3/5 Cost: 2/5 Overall: 3/5

I've wanted to eat a crab cake from Phillip's since I was a poor college student over 50 years ago. Tonight I did it. It's a well worn and well located tourist spot that can't be replicated. They take advantage of those attributes by offering good, not great, food at top shelf prices. The menu, as expected, is primarily seafood with a few apps, salads, and soups. The wine list is absolutely minimal with a couple of options in each mainstream variety. Our dinner tonight was a crab cake and a lobster roll, one with fries and one with coleslaw. The food was good. Service was professional but the wait for food was a little more than expected. Bottom line, it's a famous tourist spot that you should visit, but visit as a tourist, not as a food critic.

Steak and Crab cake sandwich

Tried this spot for dinner. We were seated quickly and our drink and food orders were taken pretty quickly also. We both ordered the steak and crab cake. It was good. Steak was a little over cooked because I asked for medium but the flavor was good. Crab cake was good. The blue crab margarita was ehh but the Long Island iced tea was great! They were busy but it wasn't too noisy or overwhelming. When we left we saw that they had an outside crab area. We would have opted for that but didn't see it on the way in. Overall it was good but not worth the price.

Crispy Fish Sandwich

Had dinner with a group of friends for his birthday, it was 7 of us total around 8pm on a Saturday night and we were able to be sat immediately. Our server was amazing! Super kind and patient with us. We got the Chesapeake crab dip for an appetizer, it came with some kind of seasoned bread which was delicious! Add some Tabasco for a nice kick! I had the Crispy Fish sandwich and it was unbelievably fresh and delicious! The fries were crispy and fresh. Overall loved it, its a nice restaurant to go to if you are celebrating.

Ask the Community - Phillips Seafood

Are the crabs fresh?

If I knew better , this would not be my first choice of restaurants again. In my personal opinion, I'd look for a restaurant more tailored to seafood and not a chain restaurant.

Are they still doing bottomless brunch? On the website it says it's inactive

I was just there on a Sunday and there wasn't a brunch option. Sorry, it would have been good.

Does the Phlilips seafood in the inner harbor have a buffet?

They have an amazing Sunday brunch buffet from 10-2.

Grabbed the Farmhouse Benni & Chicken & Waffles. My homegirl throughly enjoyed her benni with dippy egg and all and my C&W was ok. The chicken was dry and somewhat burnt (see pic). I was unsure if it was supposed to be two chicken thighs or one and a half since that's what I received. The calabrian chilli hot honey was very tasting and saved the dish. I always ask for sauces on the side and glad I was able to control how much sweetness I needed for each bite. I was already in a crappy mood and didn't contest my food since it fit and just wanted to try and finish my carafe of mimosa before we needed to leave and watch the game at The Bank. They do have some fun upcoming happenings like a 4 course tequila paired dinner that I was intrigued to try but was sold out. It would be fun to come back and try a paired dinner.

Its…read moreusually hard to get a breakfast buffet wrong but unfortunately this buffet experience was lackluster. They offered a variety of items: deviled eggs, scrambled eggs, chicken and waffles, beef and chorizo quesadillas, sausage, home fries, and French toast. They advertised fruit salad on the menu but they didn't have it out on the day we went. For starters, the food was lukewarm. Everything could have tasted so much better if it was warm. Even when they would refill the pans, everything was still not warm enough. The restaurant was not packed but they were slow to refill for the parties that were there. When we tried to go back for a second plate, most of the items weren't replenished and the line was getting longer. It was so bad that one group asked to pay for their drinks and leave because they weren't able to get any food. My option of each item: Deviled eggs- yolk mixture was on the drier side and bland Scrambled eggs- they were ok. Just needed to be warm Chicken and waffles- it was giving "chicken tender on eggo waffle" chicken was better than the bland waffle. It also didn't help that the syrup they had was cold and thick. It made the waffle (and French toast) colder and hard to swallow. French toast- the first batch was (with the exception of being cold) perfectly cooked and dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar. The refill batches were so burnt and hard to chew and they didn't bother putting powdered sugar on them. Again, the cold syrup didn't help. Beef and chorizo quesadillas- they may have been a crowd favorite because getting a second serving was hard because they kept going quickly and took a while to replenish. They just needed to be warmer and served with sour cream. Home fries- great with the peppers and onions. Just need to be warmer. Sausage- my least favorite thing because it didn't taste like Sausage. It was very dry. Sadly, the food was a epic fail. This may be a great place for cocktails because the bartender mixed our margaritas perfectly. They had a Build Your Own Margarita menu with many different flavor options. I opted for the watermelon margarita with a Tajin rim. Delicious! My friend had a pineapple mango margarita with sugar rim and he was impressed also.
