This is my second experience with this company and I appreciate how Audy runs the team. My father didn't realize what a difference it would make getting AC in the house I grew up in when there was no AC unit. Water heater doctor came in and replaced it with an identical water heater. Part of why we chose them was that they preferred that brand (Bradford White). Installed competently with lots of double checking and explanations of everything. They resisted *my* suggestions for upselling, explaining why that was not needed. Our new heater now makes the water hotter, for a lower setting on the gas. Fantastic experience, we are very happy!

Sadly, it appears we are headed to (binding) arbitration with American Home Shield (AHS), which refuses to accept responsibility for its repeated failure(s) - on three (3) separate occasions and contrary to its ("AHS Home Protection Plan") -- to dispatch ("competent") plumbers to "diagnose and repair" what was causing the "gurgling sound" and "sewer smell" coming from our kitchen sink. Potential Customers of Mr. Daniel Lopez, and his company, Drip Fix Plumbing: As people expect from all military veterans, Mr. Lopez, a former U.S. Marine -- after normal business hours, and on an "emergency basis " (on Saturday, March 28, 2026) -- "distinguished" himself, "above and beyond the call of duty," as a true "Master Plumber." Where none of the previous (incompetent) plumbers, dispatched by AHS, were able to figure out what was causing the problems with our kitchen sink, Mr. Lopez -- entirely by himself -- worked tirelessly into the evening, "trouble-shooting" everything, until he discovered that the "gurgling sound," "sewer smell," and flooding of our unit were all caused by an Air Admittance Valve (AAV) which finally failed on Saturday, March 28, 2026; causing substantial flood damage to our condo unit's flooring. So I called an A/C service who said they would be there in the morning. They never showed but they finally called at 12:40 saying maybe tomorrow. Nope! Bubye...I called a local company...not a chain but a family business...with a receptionist who asked me to describe the problem. After hearing the issue she said it's probably a capacitor that costs about 32 bucks at Ace Hardware but if we come put it on there'd be a $450 charge. So I Googled and You Tubed...how do you fix a capacitor on a Trane A/C? After watching a couple...I went to Ace and bought a new capacitor...yanked the old one off and put the new one on...with a little bit of Jerry-rigging as it was skinnier than the old one and didn't fit the bracket...and voila! Air conditioner is humming along nicely!!! Saved a lot of money! Thanks Dorothy at Davey Heating and Cooling! It's nice to have great customer service even though I never used your service. Dorothy offered to schedule a tech that afternoon and then started running through the most common causes. With her on the line I found a blown fuse on the units motherboard and was able to replace it (props to Home Depot for having them in stock). Bottom line, she was polite, responsive AND helped me solve the issue over the phone at no cost. I will definitely call Davey Heating and Air for all my HVAC needs in the future.

He noted that my water shutoff likely needed to be replaced. Once he explained why, I had him replace the valve. Throughout the process, Eldar did a great job of answering my questions. I never felt like there was any attempt to upsell or get me to buy extra services/products. Eldar was very polite, friendly and was a great representative of Speed Plumbing. I really don't give bad reviews but this poor communication and poor job really harmed our timeline…read moreon our home sale. Absolutely avoid if you want an honest assessment or technician willing to work. I confirmed in advance that we wanted our sewer line cleaned to comply with our inspection during our home sale. The technician came out and said he was going to scope it first, not the service we asked for, and then told my husband repeatedly it didn't need to be cleaned. I later got an email with a recommendation for a cleaning at $1400 and a bill for $154 for scoping the line. I already have an appointment to have the line scoped after the cleaning tomorrow by the original company who scoped it. Never asked for a scope, asked for a cleaning. I've attached the communication that they could do the cleaning while in site. Really challenging when the technician said no cleaning necessary, no repairs necessary and then sends an estimate for recommended cleaning and repair. Moving on to the next company who can maybe do the work we hire for and not waste hours of our time and now days.

I had a different, and not-so-honest, plumbing company come out twice to find and fix a kitchen leak that destroyed my floor. That plumbing company "found" two (non-existent) leaks that absolutely DID NOT have anything to do with the leak that ruined the floor. I actually had to tell them to remove the kick-board under the sink because I didn't believe the "fixes" they did were the problem. Sure enough, the leak was underneath the sink and way in the back, in a very hard to reach area. That plumbing company quoted me $1000 to fix it and told me I had to rip out the cabinets for them to do it. That company left a very, very bad taste in my mouth, and I absolutely refuse to work with them again. Especially since they charged me a "trip fee" for both times. Enter Don, the miracle worker. After reading several great reviews, and seeing that he was closer to my home, I decided to give him a call. I was very hesitant at first, what with the disaster that I had just experienced, but it was the best decision I ever made during this "water damaged, ruined floor, and stress-inducing" situation. Don jumped right in, right up to his elbows. The location of the leak was absolutely horrid and in a very tight area, but Don did not give up and out-stubborned a stubborn pipe...making a few cracks along the way about wishing he was Ant-man to make things easier. A little less than three hours later, the pipe was fixed, and the cost was about a third of what was quoted by the original plumber. The best part? No cabinet tear-out, and the cut to access it was minimal and something I can easily repair myself. I called him again after my newly replaced floor was completed, to fix a water shut-off valve that was leaking after the 1/2 bath toilet was re-installed (and, boy, those valves are not made very well, are they?). He was in and out in less than an hour, and at a very reasonable price! Don was professional, amiable, and very easy to talk to. I can tell you that I definitely will be using him for all plumbing needs in the future, and will highly recommend him to anyone who asks. Thank you, Don!! read more

Can't say enough, Don is an artist with the pipes! He has been doing much plumbing for me past 6 years; water heater, main water line replacement valves, outside water valve replacements, he installed my whole house filtration system, set the gas line for my heater in the garage, installed all my new kitchen faucets including the hot water heater plumb into the kitchen sink and just a few days ago I had a leak from the upstairs bathroom leaking into the basement laundry room. I pretty much did the diagnostics hoping to be a simple fix it was the bathroom sink drain. It ties into the main drain which is a cast iron pipe. It turned out it wasn't leaking behind the toilet but in the floor joist impossible to get to without tearing out the floor. Don came up with a brilliant alternative running 3 inch pipe through the wall down into the basement tieing it to the kitchen drain. Problem solved without demolition which would have really run up the bill. Much thanks Don for all your good work! read more

I was helped by Donald Pohlman, who not only over charged me but acted in a unprofessional manner. I contacted the business to fix my bathroom showerhead, after looking at the issue and claiming to look up the malfunctioning piece on the internet, Donald claimed that the item was no longer sold and recommended I pay for a new product which he could install for around 500 dollars. After looking up the broken shower head and the manufacturer, I quickly found the piece needed and bought it myself for around 45 dollars. I then called back Donald Pohlman and he charged me 195 dollars to install the piece I found. When I asked him why 15 minutes of work cost more than his hourly charge of 176 dollars, he claimed he had done research online looking for the piece and added that to my charge. Not only did the man overcharge me, he repeatedly attempted to, and on top of all of that, used my tools because he couldn't be bothered to use his own. read more

This company has very poor customer service. I'm am not the one who leave reviews, but people whom own business should know that word of mouth is the best advertising ever....I use them through Homeserve an it was a nightmare. They came out fix the plumbing on the outside but in the process of doing that, they broke my fence. They also put in a false claim to Homeserve, stating they did inside work an they never did work in my house. The whole job was outside. They where supposed to get my fence fix they stop taking my calls. I had to pay out of pocket to have my fence repaired. I would not ever recommend them to anyone. The guy Derrick customer service is so bad he made me want to curse him out. But God don't like ugly he will get his....I have pictures of how they tore up my fence.... read more

Earlier this week, right before going to bed, I noticed that my water heater was leaking. I turned everything off and called several plumbing companies the next morning. I found PHI Plumbing Services on Yelp and they lived up to their great rating! They managed to squeeze me in the same day around other appointments! I can't stress enough how thankful I am for their great customer service! Don Pohlman was incredibly nice, well experienced, knowledgeable, and very timely. He worked hard to fit the new water heater into the cramped space the old one occupied and went above and beyond to make sure it did. And to top it all off, they were very reasonably priced! I had the misfortune of starting my week with a kitchen sink that wouldn't drain. After googling "plumbers near Thornton" I came up with PHI Plumbing Services at the top of the list. I called Don at about 9 am and he was at my door by 10:30. My home is 44 years old so he said it was most likely grease clogging up the line - (it was), and immediately got to work clearing it out. The price he charged was reasonable, he made sure everything was cleaned up before he left, and I can use my sink again. (Woo Hoo!) Don came the next day after we call him, regarding a slow leak in the water supply line. He troubleshot quickly and identified the cause. It is a bad on/off valve to the front year lawns. He had the part and replaced the valve. Problem solved because the water supply meter stopped rolling when all faucet in the house is Off. for a very negotiable and reasonable charge. (Another plumbing company did no obvious troubleshooting work, and gave us estimate thousands of dollars, for a drastic measure of digging up the yard.) read more

Don was great! He came over after his work day had ended to unclog my kitchen sink and cleaned up the whole area afterwards. I was really sorry that I had tried a drain cleaner before calling him because he had to deal with all the acid-y mess. But Don was quick, pleasant and tidy. We've had him over twice now, and both times he has just been amazing. Not only are his prices fair, he's polite, works quickly, and best of all, has a habit of looking at the whole system to find and fix what's actually wrong that caused the problem you called him in for, rather than just quick-fixing a short-term issue. Had leak under kitchen sink intermittently for 2 months after having new faucet/garbage disposal installed. Original plumbers called back to repair and still not fixed. Called Don @ PHI. I contacted numerous plumbing companies for estimate to switch out faucet on a pedestal sink in bathroom. Other plumbing companies gave outrageous quotes of $550 to $664. I was shocked. I had a simple leak in my bathtub. Brothers came out three times and each time charged me $400 but never actually fixed the problem. Always had some song and dance as to why it was not their fault. We live in a tri-level and had a bathroom leak on the top level. The bathroom sits above and straddles an I-beam which made locating the leak a bit of a task. Really, really, really happy with these guys…read more I got an astronomical quote from another plumbing cont actor (also in my reviews), then got a recommendation to these guys from our neighbor, who is friends with someone whose dad works here. Instead of paying the $1350-$1500 (plus maybe some electrical work) quoted by the other company, Cady Plumbing (I don't know the fellow's name, my boyfriend handled it) immediately started helping us work out the issue on the phone. I mean - free advice? So they don't have to actually come out? Meaning they won't get paid? I've never HEARD of such a thing from a plumber! After some testing they determined that it was a simple problem which took about 2 hours and a small replacement part to fix, to totalling $250 or so. We were incredibly happy to find a quality & qualified plumber that's wasn't looking to screw us because we don't know any better. Now I've got a good plumber on call, and I couldn't be happier about it. Definitely consider giving these guys a chance when the time comes for you to fix annoying plumbing issues. The price is right, the people are nice, and best of all they are honest and do quality work. Thumbs up all around.

I am so glad I had him (and Emergency Rescue Plumbing) come out to look, because he was able to help guide me to a decision regarding fixing versus repairing, and actually listened to the troubleshooting I had done so far to narrow down the issue. As part of this, Rob did such a great job explaining *everything* to me, in terms that I could easily understand. By the time he left, I knew all of the major components in a water heater, and what exactly could fail, as well as the cost for installing a new one, and the additional implications on being up to code, and how that plays into everything (like whether or not I'd have to install an expansion tank). Joshua was easy to work with and bounce ideas off and he was communicative throughout the whole process. He recommended solutions that he uses himself in his own house and was able to share details about what to expect and I am very happy with the results. Very respectful of our house and cleaned up after himself. I wasn't fully satisfied with previous companies I've used and I was hesitant at first to contact Nxt Gen because there were no approved Yelp reviews, but the hidden reviews were all positive and correct.

David took his time, made sure to keep me educated on what he was doing, and even tried to fix issues the "free" way before adding additional charges.
