We called on 2/16/24 and they came out on 2/19/24. We had used them before to replace our main water shut off. They did great work and called them again. Steve and Carson came out. They got here around 10am and were here until about 7pm. They made sure the job was done correct. In our basement, in the laundry room, we had an underground pipe leaking water through the cement. They were able to replace the cast iron pipe and replace it with pvc. They also replaced our shower drain. They made sure the connections were all set. Great customer service. Very attentive with their work. Definitely recommend them. read more

Frustrating experience. I have had issues with my main pipe before, so I said on the phone I was looking to get that unclogged, and with the plumber when he showed up. At first he tried to sell me a new toilet, but I asked for the main pipe to be cleaned again. He then used a snake in the toilet, but it only went a few feet so I had to ask again to clean out the main pipe. While he was messing around in the bathroom he just watched while the toilet overflowed, I had to reach around him and stop the toilet from running. Eventually he got down to the main pipe to clean it, but he had filled it up with water, testing the bathtub, so sh**ty water just drained out onto my basement floor. He eventually snaked out the main pipe, then just sat the sh**tty gloves dirty side down on the ground. I could see his latex gloves underneath were dirty, but he kept touching handles and other things even after I asked. After finishing, he didn't spray anything on the basement, just wiped the sh**tty water with some paper towels. He also left the obstruction that was clogging the drain just sitting on the basement floor. While leaving, his machine was wet from the toilet water, and it made a trail all the way back thru the basement, upstairs, and out to the front door. I showed him the brown wheel marks, but he still charged me full price even though I said it was going to cost me $40 to get a mop and bleach from Lowe's. $189 seemed about $50 higher than I had paid in the past, even without leaving a bio-hazard behind. On top of all of this, he took his mask off while we were both downstairs. In a pandemic, I'm not comfortable with someone in my house who is seeing a ton of people every week and not taking covid precautions. read more

The guy thinks very highly of his work. $600 to replace a outside water spicket. Costed me another $500 to fix the skirting he tore up on the side where he replaced it. Then the guy tries to hit on you. Grossed me out was eating a cereal bar and throws the wrapper in my floor. Would not recommend at all. Not even a year later the piece he said he fixed, major leak. I found Scott via a referral from a coworker when my garbage disposal died. I had purchased a new disposal but didn't really want to try installing it myself. I called Scott and was able to set an appointment for the same week. He showed up in the time frame promised, was incredibly efficient and clean up every bit of the area underneath my sink. Scott at Royal Plumbing and Heating is the best--don't shop around, just call Scott. Our air conditioning unit (3,100 square foot house) was having issues--line was freezing after a few hours of operation and then the unit would blow warm air. We had actually had another company come and check the unit about a month prior...turns out they didn't actually do anything, and failed to run the proper tests that would have shown the unit was failing. When the issue presented itself, we called the prior company back out and after about 10 minutes of looking at the unit they told us it was the compressor, and that the poor performance was because it was "sitting in the sun," and having problems kicking on. They sold us a hard start for $250. The issues continued. We called a different company and after about a 10 minute evaluation, the tech said it looked like we were losing coolant, but wanted $2,500 to actually diagnose the problem and run tests, and find the coolant leak. He wouldn't even guarantee he would find the leak for that price. On a whim, we called Scott because a friend had a good experience with him. Scott came out the same morning, whereas the other places had made us wait days before being able to look at the unit. He assessed the situation and spent about 90 minutes diagnosing the problem with the unit. He actually tried to find the coolant leak during that initial consult. He only asked $29 for the initial evaluation. Scott was willing to take the project on for less than half the $ that the other place wanted. He ended up having to replace the A coil--which was under warranty. Scott was knowledgeable, honest, efficient, and genuinely cared about getting things done correctly. He helped us out immensely--I have two little kids and my husband travels for work quite a bit, and we were going a bit crazy in a 90 degree house. Call Scott, he will help you out. read more
